Chapter 475 The Love Rival Arrives

Alexander immediately turned around and saw Manuel standing at the door, holding a bouquet of fresh flowers.

Manuel was dressed in a black suit with a white shirt, and a delicate sapphire brooch pinned to his lapel, matching his tie.

Manuel had a gentle smile on his face, looking every bit the sophisticated professional.

Seeing Manuel like this, Alexander couldn't help but curl his lips in a cold smirk.

He frowned at Manuel and said, "You've got the wrong place. She's not here. This is my house."

Manuel looked at him calmly. "But Sophia gave me this address. Is she recovering at your place?"

Alexander replied coldly, "Why not?"

"It's not that it's impossible, but it's unlikely. Knowing Sophia, she wouldn't stay at your place after you forgot all about her. This must be her house, and you're just a guest here. You don't want to see me, so you're trying to get rid of me."

Alexander sneered, "If you know that, why don't you leave before I make you?"

Manuel walked in with a smile. "Sorry, but I'm afraid you don't have the authority to make me leave."

Just then, Manuel looked upstairs and saw Sophia coming down.

He immediately went to her, full of concern. "Sophia, how are you feeling? I brought you your favorite lilies."

Sophia smiled as she took the flowers. "Thank you. Come, have a seat over here."

She led Manuel to the living room sofa.

Alexander watched their backs, grinding his teeth.

Since he lost his memory, Sophia had never smiled at him like that.

But she smiled so beautifully at Manuel.

Could it be that Sophia no longer liked him and was ready to start a new relationship?

The thought made Alexander clench his fists.

Elodie, who had been standing behind Alexander, tugged on his arm and whispered in his ear, "Alexander, Manuel has always liked Sophia. They only broke up because his mother didn't approve of her. I heard he sent his mother abroad to a retirement home. He's clearly preparing to pursue Sophia again. It looks like it will be hard to make Sophia my sister-in-law."

Elodie's words made Alexander's face darken.

After a long pause, he looked at Elodie and asked, "Do you really want her to be your sister-in-law that much?"

Elodie nodded repeatedly. "It's not just me. Grandpa, Mom, and Dad all want Sophia to marry into our family. But you messed it up, and now someone else is interested in her."

Alexander ruffled Elodie's hair and said in a deep voice, "Then I'll find a way to win her back."

Without waiting for Elodie's reaction, Alexander headed to the kitchen.

The butler was making coffee and was about to take it to Manuel when he saw Alexander walk in.

"Mr. Cross, I made you a cup of Blue Mountain coffee, it's in..."

Before he could finish, Alexander interrupted, "I'll take it. I'll bring it over."

The butler looked at him in surprise. "That's not appropriate. You're a guest too."

"It's fine. I was heading over there anyway."

With that, Alexander carried the tray over to Manuel, his demeanor very polite. "A fine cup of Blue Mountain coffee, Mr. Watson. Please try it."

He handed the cup to Manuel, looking at him kindly.

Both Manuel and Sophia were taken aback.

Sophia couldn't understand what Alexander was up to.

Manuel took the cup and politely said, "Thanks."

Just as he was about to set it down, Alexander said, "Mr. Watson, aren't you going to try it? Or do you not trust my skills? Don't worry, I'm a coffee master. I make excellent coffee."

Manuel chuckled, his eyes twinkling. "I believe you, Mr. Cross."

He took a sip and then remarked, "The coffee is good, but Mr. Cross, this isn't Blue Mountain. It's Yirgacheffe."

Hearing this, Alexander glanced at the butler in the kitchen.

The butler quickly came over to explain, "Mr. Cross, I made Blue Mountain for you. It's in Mr. Sinclair's study. I thought you were going to play chess with them. I made Yirgacheffe for Mr. Watson. My apologies for the mix-up."

Alexander's eyes darkened for a moment, then he said, "No problem. I think Mr. Watson might prefer Yirgacheffe anyway."

He then turned to Sophia and asked gently, "Would you like some fresh juice? You need to replenish your vitamins after your fever."

Without waiting for Sophia's response, Alexander ruffled her hair and headed back to the kitchen.

Seeing his attentiveness, Manuel smiled and asked, "Have you two reconciled?"

Sophia shook her head. "No, I don't know what he's up to. He just won't leave my house."

"Is it possible he's trying to win you back? If that's the case, would you consider it?"

Sophia smiled faintly. "I'm not thinking about relationships right now. I just want to focus on my career. Nothing beats the satisfaction of success and money."

Manuel saw the bitterness in her smile and said, "Focusing on your career landed you in the hospital? Sophia, I know you better than that."

He knew Sophia couldn't forget Alexander, which is why he hadn't taken advantage of Alexander's memory loss to pursue her.

Manuel liked Sophia, but he also knew that as long as Alexander was in her heart, she wouldn't accept anyone else.

Focusing on her career was just an excuse to protect her feelings.

Sophia had no response to Manuel's words, her eyes turning red.

She quickly looked at Elodie to change the subject. "Elodie has been wanting to thank you since her surgery."

Hearing her name, Elodie walked over and greeted Manuel with a smile.

"Mr. Watson, thank you for finding me a heart. I'd like to treat you to dinner."

Manuel smiled warmly. "I just had the information a bit earlier. If I hadn't told you, Alexander's people would have found the heart too. I just knew a few hours earlier."

Elodie smiled. "Every minute counts for us heart patients. Those few hours saved my life."

"You have a way with words and seem very mature. You can set the time for dinner."

"I'll pick a restaurant and call you. I'll go get some fruit."

With that, Elodie ran into the kitchen.

Alexander was cutting fruit.

Seeing Elodie come in, he immediately asked in a low voice, "What are they talking about?"

Elodie whispered in his ear, "Manuel wants to pursue Sophia. He said he wants to take her out to dinner."

Hearing this, Alexander's hand slipped, and the knife cut into his finger.
