Chapter 531 Never Separate
Sophia quickly stepped back, startled. "Then I'd rather not guess."
She and Alexander had been apart for over two years, and he had been celibate for just as long. She had heard that men who abstain for a long time can be like wild beasts, and she had no intention of risking her life.
Alexander chuckled mischievously. "Look at you, all scared. You think I'm still the same as before, going on and on? I'm older now, can't handle that much anymore."
Despite his words, his eyes burned with intensity as he looked at Sophia.
His large hand gently pinched the soft flesh on her stomach, making her cheeks flush.
"Stop it, there are people up ahead," she whispered.
Alexander leaned in, kissing her burning ear, his voice husky. "Two years without touching you, you seem even more sensitive now. How about I give you a special treatment tonight?"
Sophia knew exactly what he meant by "special treatment."
A full-body massage, inside and out.
Not a single inch of skin would be spared.
The last time he gave her this "treatment," she had been bedridden for two days.
She glared at Alexander. "The doctor said no rough stuff, or it could leave lasting damage."
Alexander laughed it off. "Then you can be the one to go rough."
His words made Sophia even more embarrassed.
Ever since he regained his memory, his flirtatious nature hadn't changed.
Annoyed, she turned her head to look out the window.
The sky outside was growing darker, and the streetlights were starting to come on.
The car pulled up to the amusement park, right under the Ferris wheel they had once ridden together.
The entire park was eerily quiet, with no one else around.
Sophia didn't need to guess; Alexander had rented out the whole place.
She got out of the car and looked up at the Ferris wheel, the place where their story began.
Two years ago, she and Alexander had planned to ride the Ferris wheel together.
But he had stood her up, called away by Melanie for an emergency.
Sophia had ridden the Ferris wheel alone and drank a lot.
Fueled by alcohol, she and Alexander had their first intimate encounter that night.
Whether it was the alcohol or her long period of being single, they had been wild and uninhibited.
Every corner of her home bore their marks.
Just thinking about it now made Sophia blush.
Alexander noticed her flushed face and whispered in her ear, "Your face is so red. Are you thinking about our first time?"
Sophia looked at him, puzzled. "Are you planning to take me on a trip down memory lane?"
"Not just a trip down memory lane, but a repeat performance."
With that, he took her hand and led her onto the Ferris wheel.
It wasn't until they were seated that Sophia noticed the Ferris wheel had been beautifully decorated with flowers and twinkling lights.
Below them, the city's river was illuminated with colorful lights, reflecting like flowing stars.
Sitting there, looking out at the night view, Sophia felt a rush of excitement.
With everything that had been happening lately—filming, hospital visits—she hadn't felt this relaxed in a long time.
Seeing her so happy, Alexander lifted her into his arms.
He kissed her ear and whispered, "There's something even better to see. Do you want to?"
Curious, Sophia looked at him.
His handsome features were even more striking in the light, his deep eyes filled with affection.
She found herself getting lost in them.
"What is it?" she asked, blinking.
Alexander chuckled softly in her ear. "Call me ‘husband,' and I'll tell you."
Sophia knew he wasn't that generous. She turned her head to look at the night view. "I think this is beautiful enough. I don't need any more surprises."
Alexander nuzzled her ear, his voice husky. "Really? Then don't make a sound later."
As soon as he finished speaking, fireworks lit up the sky in front of Sophia. Colorful explosions filled the air, falling like a meteor shower onto the river. The scene was so breathtaking that Sophia couldn't help but cry out.
"Alexander, did you set off these fireworks? I've never seen such beautiful fireworks, even the way they fall is stunning."
Alexander ruffled her hair with a smile. "Silly, can't you tell those are drones?"
Sophia's eyes widened in disbelief. "Drones can do fireworks? I've only seen drone shows before, never fireworks. Who's the genius behind this? It's so beautiful."
"Of course, it's your handsome, romantic, and brilliant husband."
Alexander added several flattering titles to his identity. He wanted to use every positive adjective for himself.
Sophia couldn't help but laugh. She admitted, she was captivated by the Alexander in front of her. There were many handsome men, but few were as handsome, wealthy, and smart as Alexander. And now, with his unwavering devotion to her, she felt truly blessed.
Sophia had always thought she'd never experience the kind of love Sebastian had for Joyce, but now she felt Alexander wasn't so bad. Only those who have weathered storms together can see the rainbow.
Sitting in Alexander's arms, her bright eyes reflected the colorful fireworks, making her already beautiful face even more enchanting. She leaned down and kissed Alexander's lips, smiling. "The fireworks are beautiful. I'm very happy. Thank you."
Alexander, thrilled by her kiss, felt as if his heart had been filled with sweet nectar. He looked at Sophia with a smile. "Is that all it takes to make you happy? There's more to come."
Sophia didn't know what he meant. Just then, the fireworks in the sky disappeared. In the dark sky, large letters suddenly appeared.
[Sophia, I love you.]
Seeing those words, Sophia was stunned. Her heart felt like it had been hit hard, sending waves of emotion through her. She had a feeling she knew what was coming. Her eyes, filled with heat, locked onto Alexander, her voice a bit hoarse.
"Alexander."
Alexander kissed her lips with a smile. "Don't get too excited yet. There's more."
Sophia turned her gaze back to the sky, where the letters had changed.
[Sophia, marry me.]
The letters changed colors as they moved across the sky. But no matter how they changed, they were filled with deep emotion. It was impossible not to be moved.
Sophia's heart raced. She knew what was about to happen. She had imagined Alexander proposing, but she hadn't expected it to be like this. So grand, so high-profile. She couldn't help but want to say yes immediately.
Alexander set her down on the seat. Then he stood up. As the Ferris wheel reached its peak, he knelt on one knee. He pulled out a pink diamond ring from his pocket, his eyes full of love as he looked at Sophia.
"Sophia, before and after my memory loss, the one I chose was always you. So, no matter what happens in the future, through sickness and health, I will never let you go. Sophia, marry me. I will protect you for a lifetime, never to part."
