Chapter 616 The Rival in Love Appears

Wilhelmina gazed at him with deep affection. "Do you think we'll always be this happy?"

"Why, are you planning on divorcing me?" Theodore teased with a grin.

"It's just that everything's happening so fast. It feels like a dream."

Theodore leaned in close, gently nibbling her earlobe, his voice husky. "Seems like I was too gentle last night, didn't make you remember your place. Don't blame me for being rougher next time."

With that, he kissed her deeply.

The room quickly filled with an intimate atmosphere.

When Wilhelmina woke up the next morning, the sun was already high in the sky.

Theodore was no longer in bed.

She jumped up, hitting her head lightly, cursing herself internally.

Why didn't she ask Theodore to take it easy last night? Now she was late on her first day here.

After getting ready, Wilhelmina went downstairs to find Kaia sitting in Darren's lap, watching cartoons.

Theodore was in the kitchen, cooking.

Seeing her come down, Theodore immediately stopped what he was doing, walked over to her with a smile, and kissed her forehead. "Morning, babe. Sleep well?"

Wilhelmina thought, You know exactly how I slept, don't you?

But with the elders and children around, she just smiled and nodded.

Seeing her reaction, Theodore's smile grew even wider.

He whispered in her ear, "Looks like you're getting used to my pace. Let's continue tonight."

Wilhelmina glared at him, whispering, "Theodore, don't push it."

Theodore chuckled, brushing her cheek. "You were the one who didn't listen back then, tricked me, and secretly had a daughter. I need to make up for those lost years."

Kaia, watching them from Darren's lap, giggled. "Grandpa, I'm your eyes. Daddy just kissed Mommy, and Mommy punched Daddy."

Darren laughed at Kaia's description. "That's just them being playful. When two people love each other, they act like that. As long as your parents love each other, our family will be happy."

Kaia looked worried. "Grandpa, Mommy said Daddy has someone he likes. Will that person come and take Daddy away from Mommy?"

Darren patted her head reassuringly. "Don't worry. Your dad isn't like that. If he ever mistreats your mom, Grandpa will set him straight."

As they were talking, Reginald came in to report.

"Mr. Darren Vale, Miss Thomas is here."

Hearing the name, Darren's heart sank.

Why did she have to come now, right after his son got married? What was she up to?

Darren's face darkened. "Tell her Theodore is busy cooking for his wife and can't see guests."

But before he could finish, a gentle voice interrupted.

"Mr. Vale."

Phoenix stood at the door in a designer dress, her eyes fixed on Theodore and Wilhelmina in the kitchen, filled with undisguised jealousy.

She walked towards Theodore, her high heels clicking, and called out, "Theodore, I'm back."

Theodore, who had been basking in happiness, turned to look at her. His smile froze instantly.

His eyes were cold as he looked at Phoenix. "What do you want?"

Phoenix's eyes reddened with hurt at his coldness. "Theodore, I'm sorry. I was stubborn back then, didn't listen to you, insisted on studying abroad. I just wanted to make you proud. I never meant to abandon you. I've been thinking about you all these years, waiting to come back to you after achieving success.

Now I'm the lead dancer of our troupe. You'll see me on stage often.

Theodore, I'm back. Let's get back together."

She reached out to touch his sleeve, but Theodore pulled away.

His face darkened as he looked at Phoenix, a mocking smile on his lips. "Miss Thomas, show some respect. We ended things four years ago. I'm married now.

Don't say such things in front of my wife, or I won't be polite."

Phoenix's eyes filled with tears. "Theodore, we were together for seven years. Your youth had me, and mine had you. I don't believe you can forget me.

We promised to be together forever. Have you forgotten?"

Theodore sneered. "Did you forget how you broke up with me? You left me for your career. Why should I be so pathetic to still want you?"

"Theodore, I was wrong. I didn't consider your feelings back then. I insisted on going abroad. Now I have everything, but I've lost you. I regret it. Please give me another chance. I'll love you properly."

She grabbed his hand, but he shook her off.

"Sorry, the one I love now is Wilhelmina. Show some respect, or I won't be kind."

Theodore pulled Wilhelmina into his arms, kissing her forehead.

His previously cold demeanor softened as he looked at Wilhelmina, eyes filled with guilt.

His voice gentle, he pleaded, "Don't be mad. The only one I love now is you. My past with her is over. Please don't be angry with me, okay?"
