Chapter 555 Risking My Life to Accompany You
Bianca had been feeling cooped up for way too long and was itching to get out and unwind. Without a second thought, she agreed to the outing.
Paxon saw Bianca put on a mask and clapped his little hands excitedly. "This is so cool, Uncle! I want one too!"
Smith handed him a pig mask and helped him put it on.
Then he bent down, picked Paxon up, and put an arm around Bianca's shoulders. "Alright, let's roll, sweetheart."
His use of "sweetheart" was a playful nod to both Paxon and Bianca.
Even if Bianca was a bit annoyed, she had no reason to argue.
The three of them drove to the amusement park.
Once inside, they noticed that many other people were also wearing masks.
Paxon was surprised. "Uncle, are they running away with us too?"
Smith chuckled. "Nah, buddy. If we were the only ones in masks, people would stare, and your aunt's cover would be blown. With everyone in masks, we blend right in."
Hearing this, Paxon blinked his big eyes. "Uncle, you're really smart."
"How else do you think I snagged your aunt? So, what do you want to do first?"
Paxon pointed excitedly. "I want to ride Soarin'! Auntie, I'll take you flying!"
Bianca, caught up in Paxon's enthusiasm, felt free to let loose and have fun without worrying about her identity.
She kissed Paxon. "Alright, Auntie will fly with you."
Smith hugged them both and kissed each of their cheeks. "I'll take you both."
Paxon looked at him with starry eyes. "Uncle, are you afraid of heights? Will you ride the bear roller coaster with me later?"
"Of course not. I'm a grown man; I'm not afraid of heights."
He led them into Soarin.
There weren't many people, so they didn't have to wait in line.
They chose the back row and sat down.
Smith secured their seatbelts and leaned close to Bianca's ear. "Bianca, if you're scared, lean into me. I'll keep you safe."
His lips brushed her ear, sending a shiver down her spine.
She moved away slightly. "Paxon is right here. Be careful."
Smith smiled. "He's not paying attention. He won't see."
Just then, the announcer's voice came on, signaling the ride was about to start.
The seats began to rise slowly, revealing breathtaking landscapes from around the world.
Paxon screamed in delight. "This is awesome, Auntie! We're flying over the Alps!"
Bianca, caught up in the excitement, pointed at a waterfall. "Victoria Falls, Paxon! We're going to fall with the waterfall!"
"Auntie, look! There's the ocean and a huge shark! Don't let it catch me!"
The ride's effects were amazing, with ice shards and water droplets hitting their faces, making it feel incredibly real.
The two were so engrossed in the experience that they forgot about Smith.
His hand was tightly gripping Bianca's, his eyes shut tight, too scared to look.
After a while, Bianca noticed something was off.
She turned to look at Smith.
He had his eyes closed, holding her arm tightly, looking extremely tense.
"Are you afraid of heights?" Bianca asked.
Smith gave a sheepish smile. "Of course not. I just wanted an excuse to get close to you."
"Then why are your hands shaking?"
Realizing he couldn't hide it, Smith looked at her pitifully. "Bianca, I'm really scared. I've been afraid of these rides since I was a kid. Today, I'm risking it for you. Please comfort me."
His words were both pitiful and amusing.
Bianca couldn't help but laugh.
She patted his shoulder lightly. "You're worse than a three-year-old. If Paxon finds out, he'll definitely make fun of you."
"So, for your husband's reputation, you can't tell him, okay?" As he spoke, he kissed Bianca's lips.
His voice was husky, "Bianca, I'm really scared. Please comfort me."
The room was dim, with only occasional flashes of light from the screen.
They were in the back row, unnoticed by anyone.
Everyone's attention was on the beautiful scenery, including Paxon.
Bianca suddenly felt like they were sneaking around in public.
The feeling was both forbidden and thrilling.
Faced with Smith's teasing, she couldn't resist. She thought a quick kiss would calm him down.
But Smith held her head and kissed her deeply.
The sensation of doing something forbidden made her both excited and scared.
Until Paxon’s voice broke the moment. "Auntie, what are you doing?"
Bianca quickly pushed Smith away, flustered. "Your uncle got water in his eyes. I was helping him."
Paxon blinked his bright eyes and said, "Auntie, lying makes your nose grow. I saw Uncle kissing you. Don't be embarrassed. I see Dad kiss Mom all the time."
Hearing this, Smith relaxed and laughed. "In that case, watch a bit longer. Uncle will kiss Auntie some more."
"But the ride is over. Didn't you notice?"
They both looked forward and saw that everyone else had left.
The room lights suddenly came on.
A staff member approached them, asking politely, "Do you need any help?"
Paxon immediately replied, "My uncle said he wants to kiss my aunt some more."
