Chapter 620 Scheming Against Wilhelmina

Seeing the three of them together made Phoenix burn with jealousy.

Tonight, her friends were throwing her a welcome-back party.

These friends knew Theodore and were aware of their past.

Faced with such an awkward situation, Phoenix clenched her fist tightly.

A stiff smile appeared on her face.

She called out softly, "Theodore."

Theodore's face remained expressionless. He gave a slight nod and then, with his arm around Wilhelmina and their child, walked straight to his seat.

Phoenix's classmates were taken aback by the scene. "Phoenix, what's going on with Theodore? Isn't that his secretary? Are they together now?"

Phoenix bit her lip hard. "They're married."

"What! Theodore married someone else? I thought he was always in love with you! He waited for you for years without dating anyone. What happened?"

Another classmate scoffed, "Isn't it obvious? That secretary must have taken advantage of the situation, got into Theodore's bed, had a child, and then used it to trap him."

"This is terrible. What about Phoenix? She came back to reconcile with Theodore, but someone beat her to it."

"Don't worry. I want to see what this secretary is capable of, daring to steal Phoenix's man."

Listening to their discussion, Phoenix's hatred grew stronger.

Everyone in their circle knew about Theodore's pursuit of her.

No matter where she performed, Theodore would always be there on time.

His meticulous love for her made everyone envious.

It was this unique affection that made Phoenix believe Theodore would always treat her this way.

So, she dared to go abroad alone without any reservations.

She thought Theodore's harsh words were just a momentary anger, and after some time, he would follow her abroad.

But she didn't expect that Theodore not only didn't follow her but also blocked all her contact.

The last thing he said to her was, "Phoenix, it's not that I can't wait, nor that I don't support your career. It's that I feel you don't love me enough. I don't see our future in you. Your future is only about your dance career, never about me. Let's break up."

Recalling this, Phoenix couldn't deny her regret.

Theodore was the man she had liked since childhood.

But she was born into a wealthy family, always pampered and privileged.

Phoenix was used to people chasing after her, including Theodore.

She loved seeing his deep affection for her, loved seeing him chase her abroad.

Phoenix felt a sense of accomplishment from this.

But she never expected this feeling to abruptly end four years ago.

Phoenix wanted to become the principal dancer of the ballet company, rejected Theodore's proposal, and even declared she would never have children.

In pursuit of her dream, she insisted on studying abroad.

Phoenix thought Theodore loved her so much that he would indulge her.

No matter what she asked for, he would unconditionally agree.

But to Phoenix's surprise, instead of agreeing, he broke up with her.

Despite this, Phoenix didn't care.

She thought it was just his momentary anger.

Soon, he would come to her, seeking her forgiveness.

But Phoenix waited for four years, only to hear the news of his marriage to another woman.

At that moment, Phoenix felt her world collapsing.

She couldn't believe it was true, couldn't believe that man would love another woman.

So, she immediately returned home, hoping to reconcile with Theodore.

But instead, she was humiliated by him.

Thinking about this morning's scene, Phoenix's heart still ached.

Phoenix's lips curled coldly, "What's mine will always be mine. No one can take it away."

She walked proudly to her friends, joining them in celebrating her promotion to principal dancer.

But her eyes remained fixed on Theodore in the distance.

She watched him cut steak for Wilhelmina, feed her, and wipe Kaia's mouth. The scene of the three of them together looked happy and warm.

These should have been hers. It was that shameless woman Wilhelmina who stole her man and her happiness.

Unable to bear the intense emotions, Phoenix tilted her head back and downed her drink.

Seeing her downcast, her friends immediately tried to console her. "Phoenix, don't worry. We'll teach that country bumpkin a lesson."

Phoenix raised an eyebrow. "How? Theodore is crazy about her now. If we anger him, we'll all be in trouble."

"That's easy. We won't do it ourselves. We'll let someone else handle it. Just wait and watch the show."

One friend took out their phone, dialed a number, and after a brief conversation, smiled sinisterly. "The show is about to start."

Wilhelmina hadn't drunk much, but her face was flushed.

She was always sensitive to alcohol. Even a single beer could make her face turn red, let alone this high-end wine.

She decided to go to the restroom to wash her face.

Theodore grabbed her wrist, concerned. "Wilhelmina, did you drink too much? I'll go with you."

Wilhelmina smiled and shook her head. "I'm fine. A little alcohol does this. You stay with Kaia. I'll be right back."

"Be careful."

As Wilhelmina left her seat, Phoenix's friend discreetly sent a message.

Wilhelmina went to the restroom, and as she came out, she saw a man in a tailored jacket entering.

She recognized him as the son of a company owner who had once collaborated with Vale Group.

She had been by Theodore's side then, and this man had looked at her inappropriately.

Seeing him, Wilhelmina wasn't too scared. She coldly said, "You're in the wrong restroom."

He smirked and locked the door behind him.

His eyes, like hooks, fixed on Wilhelmina's flushed face. "Wilhelmina, long time no see. Let's have a chat."

Wilhelmina glanced at him. "Sorry, I don't know what we could discuss in a restroom. Move aside, or I'll call the police for harassment."

The man sneered, "You're just a lowly secretary. It's your luck that I fancy you. Stick with me, and you can buy whatever you want."

He reached out to touch Wilhelmina, but she slapped him.

He covered his face, eyes lecherous. "A feisty woman, I like that. Come on, let me take good care of you."

He lunged at Wilhelmina.

The restroom was soon filled with screams.
