Chapter 570 Bianca's Suspicion

Several guards immediately stepped forward to restrain Eva and escorted her out of the lounge.

Despite her protests and struggles, no one believed her.

Bianca turned her icy gaze to Emilio, her voice colder than ever, "Emilio, for your own selfish gain, you conspired with Eva to frame the prince. According to the law, take him away."

Emilio quickly tried to defend himself, "It was all Eva's idea! She said she could bring you and Smith down together. I was just manipulated by her."

Bianca retorted, "Wasn't it because Smith took your major project, and you wanted revenge, that you agreed to work with her? But let me remind you, Smith is part of the William family. If anything happens to him, your entire family will suffer. Don't you understand that? Guards, take him away and deal with him according to the law. Caspian failed to teach his son properly, almost ruining my reputation. He will receive a hundred lashes as punishment."

Hearing this, Emilio fell silent. No matter how much he resented Smith, he couldn't risk the fate of his entire family. He shot a resentful glance at Smith, who seemed unaffected, clenched his fists tightly, and was led away by the guards.

The other officials agreed with Bianca's decision and then left one by one. Only Smith and Bianca remained in the room.

Smith slowly walked over to her and gently pulled her into his arms. He couldn't shake the feeling that Bianca's words had a deeper meaning. He hadn't shared his plan with her, so why did she say what she did?

He kissed her forehead and looked deeply into her eyes, "Bianca, I'm sorry for scaring you."

Bianca, seemingly unbothered, shook her head lightly, "I'm fine. Luckily, you discovered their plot early, so no one found out about Edgar and me."

Smith's brow furrowed. "Do you still have feelings for him?"

Bianca smiled slightly, "Do you think he's worth it?"

Smith was left speechless by her question. No matter how he answered, it would be a trap. If he said yes, it would imply he wasn't a normal man, as no man would want his wife to have feelings for another man. If he said no, then when the truth eventually came out, he would have no way out.

Facing Bianca like this, Smith suddenly felt a bit scared. He had a feeling she might already know something. Seeing him remain silent for a while, Bianca smiled lightly.

She reached out and gently stroked his jaw, her voice soft, "Don't worry, I won't betray you like he betrayed me. The two things I will never do in this life are regret and forgive those who lie to me. I will give you enough security. You are my lover now, and I should invest all my feelings in you, so I won't let you down. Smith, am I right?"

With each word Bianca spoke, Smith felt as if a knife was being twisted in his heart. He sensed a hidden meaning in her words. He should have been happy to hear her last few sentences.

She said she would give him enough security and wouldn't let him down. These were the words Smith most wanted to hear, but now, hearing them, he felt like he was falling into an abyss. He couldn't imagine what he would do if Bianca discovered the truth and didn't forgive him.

Thinking of this, Smith tightened his hold on Bianca. His voice was hoarse. "Bianca, if I ever make a mistake in the future, will you forgive me?"

Bianca gently brushed his hair and smiled, "Why, do you have something to hide from me?"

"No, I'm just speaking hypothetically."

"If there's nothing, then don't overthink it. Living in the present is more important than anything. Didn't you say you wanted to take me out to celebrate our birthday? Now that the guests have left, shouldn't we get going before the day is over?"

Smith immediately released her, kissed her lips, and said, "Go change into something more comfortable. We're going out incognito."

They drove to the beach.

The beach was chilly this time of year, and there were hardly any people around.

Bianca jumped out of the car and ran towards the ocean.

The waves sparkled under the moonlight, crashing against the shore.

The sound of the waves drowned out everything else; even the cries of the seagulls seemed powerless.

As Bianca ran along the beach, memories of her and Edgar flooded her mind.

She remembered their first vacation on the island.

They walked on the beach together, kissed in the sunset.

They floated in the sea with the waves, he taught her how to surf, and she let herself go in that moment.

They had their first intimate moment in a tent on the beach.

From then on, she was deeply infatuated with Edgar, both emotionally and physically.

She let herself fall deeper and deeper, unable to extricate herself.

Recalling these memories, tears welled up in Bianca's bright eyes.

She stood on the beach, watching the tide rise and fall, the cold seawater seeping through her feet, piercing her heart.

Smith watched her slender figure, feeling a pang of emotion.

He slowly walked up behind her, wrapping his arms around her waist.

Resting his chin on her shoulder, his voice was filled with undisguised sadness. "Bianca, no matter what, my love for you has never changed."

Bianca composed herself, turned around, and wrapped her arms around Smith's neck.

Looking up at Smith's golden mask, she smiled, "Is my birthday surprise just bringing me to see the ocean?"

Smith ruffled her hair and said in a deep voice, "Of course not. Close your eyes, I have to take you somewhere."

Bianca obediently closed her eyes.

She climbed onto Smith's back as he walked along the beach.

When she opened her eyes again, she found herself on a luxurious yacht.

The yacht was equipped with a barbecue, cake, and drinks.

Seeing this, Bianca exclaimed, "How did you know I've been craving barbecue for so long?"

Smith smiled, "If I didn't know that, how could I be a good husband?"

Bianca kissed his cheek, "Thank you. Let's start, I can't wait."

"Hold on, to avoid being discovered, we need to go to deeper waters where it's more private."

"Are you sure you won't push me into the sea to get rid of me?" Bianca joked.

Smith bit her lip gently and looked deeply into her eyes, "Don't worry, even if I die, I won't let you be in danger."

With that, he led Bianca into the cockpit.

They drove the yacht into deeper waters.

As soon as the yacht stopped, Bianca heard Smith's gentle voice in her ear.

Smith said, "Bianca, look up. What do you see?"

Bianca followed his direction and saw several large words in the sky above.

Smith said, "Happy Birthday, my love."

Seeing this, Bianca looked at Smith in disbelief, "Is this the surprise you prepared for me?"

Smith pulled her tightly into his arms, his voice hoarse, "There's more. Keep watching."

Bianca looked up again, and the words had disappeared.

In their place was a jewelry box, and beside it, a man was kneeling on one knee.

The large words had changed to: [Marry me, my love.]
