Chapter 553 Marry One, Get One Free

Sebastian immediately noticed Kaia, the little girl standing next to the teacher. Her pants were soaked, and her shirt was stained with milk.

He frowned deeply. Paxon had caused a big problem on his first day of school.

Bending down, he gently ruffled Kaia's hair and said calmly, "I'll talk to him when we get home and then buy you a new outfit. Sound good?"

Kaia's bright eyes blinked a few times before she softly replied, "It's not Paxon's fault. Don't be mad at him. He did it with my permission."

Sebastian chuckled, "Alright, I won't scold him. Who's picking you up today? I'll apologize to your parents."

Sebastian, who was always so dignified, had to apologize to someone on his son's first day of school.

He really had a good son.

Just starting kindergarten, who knows how much trouble he'll cause when he grows up.

Kaia glanced into the distance and said, "My mom said she'd pick me up after work. If she's late, it's because of traffic. I can wait here for her."

Seeing how understanding Kaia was, Sebastian couldn't help but think of his own daughter. Would she be as sensible as this girl when she grew up?

The thought made Sebastian happy.

Paxon, seeing his dad wasn't angry, immediately grabbed Kaia's hand and said, "Dad, I'll wait with Kaia for her mom. That counts as me apologizing, right?"

Sebastian looked at Kaia's wet clothes and said, "Her clothes are soaked. If she waits too long, she'll catch a cold. Kaia, what's your mom's phone number? Let's have the teacher call her and see how long she'll be."

Just as he finished speaking, the teacher's phone rang.

The teacher answered immediately.

A woman's voice came through, "Hi, this is Kaia's mom. I'm stuck in traffic on my way from work. Could you please keep an eye on Kaia for me?"

The teacher looked at Sebastian and said, "Mrs. Fairfax says she'll be a while."

Sebastian took the phone and said in a deep voice, "Mrs. Fairfax, this is Paxon's dad. I'm really sorry, Paxon got your daughter's pants wet. I'm worried she'll catch a cold. I'll take her to the nearby mall to buy some new clothes. When you get here, we'll meet you there. How does that sound?"

Wilhelmina Fairfax laughed, "It's fine, kids will be kids. Don't blame Paxon. That sounds good. I'll meet you at the mall."

"Alright, we'll see you then."

After hanging up, Paxon looked up and asked, "Dad, can we take Kaia with us?"

Sebastian tapped his head lightly, "Let's go to the mall. Say goodbye to the teacher."

Paxon immediately grabbed Kaia's hand, said goodbye to the teacher, and grinned at Kaia, "Let's go. I'll buy you clothes and treat you to pizza. My dad's paying. He's the best dad ever—handsome and kind."

Sebastian thought: Is he causing trouble just to butter me up afterward?

Kaia nodded in agreement, "I think your dad is great too. I wish I had a dad like him."

Paxon widened his eyes in curiosity, "Is your dad not nice to you?"

Kaia was about to say something when she looked up and saw Theodore standing by the car.

He was smiling warmly at Paxon.

Seeing him, Kaia froze, her bright eyes blinking as she stared at Theodore like he was something extraordinary.

Paxon noticed she wasn't moving and said, "Don't be scared. This is my uncle. He's really nice—kind of silly and rich, easy to trick."

Theodore walked over, ruffled Paxon's hair, and laughed, "How am I silly and rich?"

Paxon giggled, "I didn't want her to be scared. Uncle Theodore, this is my classmate, Kaia. We're taking her to the mall to buy a dress and then have dinner."

Theodore finally looked at Kaia.

She had delicate features.

Her skin was smooth, and her bright eyes seemed to hold some emotion.

Theodore frowned slightly. Why did Kaia look familiar?

He bent down, looked directly at Kaia, and asked gently, "Why are you staring at me? Do you know me?"

Kaia blinked a few times and shook her head.

But her eyes stayed fixed on Theodore's face, unwilling to look away.

In a soft voice, she said, "Hi, I'm Kaia."

Theodore was suddenly captivated by her voice. He smiled and ruffled her hair, "Hi, I'm Paxon's uncle. Let's get in the car. I'll take you for pizza."

He took Kaia's small, chubby hand, which felt soft.

For some reason, Theodore's heart was touched at that moment, as if something had pierced through it.

He lifted the two kids into the car and secured them in their seats.

Then he looked at Sebastian and laughed, "What's up with your son? First day of school, and he's already bringing home a girl. His future wife isn't even born yet, and he's already moved on. Isn't he worried Alexander will spank him?"

Sebastian smiled, "He got Kaia's clothes wet. Ever since you insisted on taking him to the spa, he's been obsessed with pouring milk on people, calling it a milk bath. It's fine when he does it to his grandparents at home, but today he soaked Kaia's clothes."

Theodore couldn't help but laugh, "If I took him to a bar, do you think he'd become a ladies' man?"

"Get lost! Don't take him to places like that."

They drove to the nearby mall, where Sebastian bought Kaia a new outfit.

Then they took the kids for pizza.

While they were eating, Sebastian's phone rang.

Seeing the caller ID, he answered immediately.

"Is this Paxon's dad? I'm Kaia's mom. I'm in the parking lot on the first floor. Where are you?"

Sebastian replied, "Third-floor restaurant. Kaia's still eating. Come up."

"Okay, see you soon."

Hearing their conversation, Kaia paused while eating her pasta and asked, "Mr. Winters, is my mom here to pick me up?"

"Yes, she'll be here soon. Take your time eating."

Kaia immediately put down her fork and slowly walked over to Theodore, looking up at him with hopeful eyes.

"Mr. Vale, can I have your phone number?"

Theodore wiped her mouth with a napkin and smiled, "Why do you want my number?"

"Because I think you're handsome. Paxon said you don't have a girlfriend. I want to introduce you to my mom."

Theodore laughed.

Kids these days are so mature.

They're even setting up their moms with boyfriends.

Theodore ruffled Kaia's hair and asked, "Give me a reason."

"My mom is beautiful, kind, and very gentle. If you marry her, you'll have a pretty wife and a cute daughter. Isn't that a great deal?"

Hearing this, Paxon immediately put down his knife and fork, clapped his hands, and said, "Yes, yes! Then you'll be my sister. I'll protect you at school. Uncle Theodore, you're not getting any younger. Marry Kaia's mom. She's pretty, so her mom must be beautiful too. It's a win-win!"
