Chapter 520 We Are Not Familiar
After speaking, Alexander took a beautifully crafted box from his assistant and handed it to Sophia. "Got you a custom dress. Matches my bow tie. Go try it on."
Betsy quickly opened the box, her eyes widening in surprise at the dress inside.
"It's gorgeous, Sophia! Let me help you put it on. You'll look stunning. Mr. Cross has great taste."
Sophia glanced at Betsy, amused by her enthusiasm. "Did he bribe you to say that?"
"Mr. Cross has bought the crew afternoon tea so many times. I feel a bit guilty. Besides, this dress is really beautiful."
Betsy held the dress up against Sophia.
The misty blue color made Sophia's already smooth skin look even more radiant and glowing.
This color was sophisticated but also very selective.
Not everyone could pull off its charm.
But Sophia could handle it perfectly.
Her curvy figure, with its elegant contours, made her look like a mermaid princess emerging from the sea in the fishtail dress.
Seeing Sophia like this, Alexander couldn't help but swallow hard.
The smile on his lips grew even wider.
Alexander walked up and took Sophia's arm, his eyes filled with undeniable affection.
"Let's go. We're going to be the stars of the night."
As the three of them entered the banquet hall, they indeed attracted a lot of attention.
It wasn't just because of the striking appearance of Alexander and Sophia, but also because of the presence of the current top celebrity, Edgar.
Many of Edgar's fans rushed over to ask for autographs and photos.
Seeing Edgar surrounded by a group of women, Alexander smirked.
"Edgar is such a ladies' man. Unlike me, I'm devoted to you. You need to choose wisely when picking a man."
Sophia gave him a sideways glance. "They're just normal fans. Don't make it sound so bad."
Alexander pulled Sophia closer, leaning down slowly, his deep eyes filled with jealousy.
"Sophia, if you keep defending Edgar, I'll kiss you right here in front of everyone."
Sophia instinctively stepped back, knowing that even though Alexander had lost his memory, his mischievous nature was still there.
He was capable of anything.
Sophia glared at Alexander. "Alexander, if you dare to act out, we're done."
Seeing her angry, Alexander chuckled and brushed her cheek.
"Just kidding. Don't be mad. I'll take you to meet Bianca."
With that, Alexander wrapped his arm around Sophia's shoulder and led her inside.
Paxon saw them and immediately ran over with his short legs.
He shouted as he ran, "Sophia, Mr. Cross, I've been waiting for you forever!"
Sophia was about to bend down to pick him up, but Alexander stopped her.
"I'll carry him. It's not convenient for you in that dress."
Alexander picked Paxon up with one arm, kissed his cheek, and said with a smile, "Calling Sophia and Mr. Cross is a mouthful. Why not just call us Godfather?"
Paxon blinked his bright eyes and said, "You can't just call someone Godfather for free. Other people get paid for that."
Hearing this, Alexander immediately pulled out a wad of cash from his wallet and stuffed it into Paxon's pocket.
He laughed and said, "Is this enough for the name change?"
Paxon nodded eagerly. "It's enough."
"Then why don't you call us?"
"But you and Sophia aren't married yet. What if Sophia marries someone else? I'd be calling the wrong person, right, Sophia?"
Sophia laughed and nodded. "Right, I haven't decided who I'll marry yet."
Alexander laughed in exasperation. "When you were asking for the name change fee, why didn't you say that? You two are just trying to scam me. Give me back the money."
Paxon saw his money was about to be taken away.
He quickly jumped into Sophia's arms. "Sophia, help! He's trying to take my money."
Sophia immediately smacked Alexander's head. "Taking money from a kid, Alexander, have some decency."
"That was my money."
"How can you prove it was yours? Is your name on it?"
Alexander, frustrated, playfully bit Paxon's cheek and then Sophia's neck.
The three of them were playfully teasing each other.
Suddenly, someone spoke. "Alexander, long time no see."
Alexander immediately stopped smiling and looked behind him.
Bianca stood there in an elegant evening gown.
He quickly smiled and nodded. "Bianca, long time no see."
Then, Alexander pulled Sophia into his arms and introduced her with a smile. "Bianca, this is Sophia, Joyce's best friend and the girl I'm pursuing."
Bianca smiled and nodded. "We've met before. Sophia seems even more beautiful now."
Sophia smiled and greeted, "Bianca."
"The dress is lovely, and it matches Alexander perfectly."
Alexander grinned proudly. "Of course, look who she's dating."
"Looks like good news is on the horizon. I'll be waiting for your announcement."
"It won't be long. We'll send the wedding invitations to the palace."
"Great, I'll be waiting. Enjoy yourselves. I'm going to see some other friends."
Bianca was about to turn and leave when Sophia called out.
"Bianca."
"Yes?"
"I have a friend who really wants to meet you. He came with me. I'll go get him."
Sophia was about to turn to find Edgar when she saw a tall figure already standing behind her.
Edgar, who had been friendly with fans earlier, now had deep emotions in his eyes.
Edgar slowly walked up to Bianca.
His hands clenched into fists at his sides. His voice was hoarse with emotion. "Bianca, long time no see."
Hearing this voice again and seeing this face, Bianca's previously smiling eyes darkened.
She glanced at Edgar, her expression unreadable.
"We don't seem to know each other. That greeting is inappropriate. Since you're Sophia's friend, enjoy the party with her. I have other matters to attend to."
Bianca hadn't expected to see Edgar here.
Her emotions were a bit chaotic, and as she turned to leave, her eyes involuntarily reddened.
