Chapter 615 Family Warmth

Theodore grinned and ruffled her hair. "As long as Kaia likes it, that's what counts. They're all your family now. You'll grow up together and look out for each other."

"Yeah, I will. When Zaid and Ingrid grow up, I'll take care of them too."

Just then, people started coming out of the hall.

Wilhelmina suddenly felt a bit nervous facing so many people.

Although she had seen these people at the company before, she was just a secretary back then.

Now, her status had changed.

She worried that she might not do well and become a laughingstock.

Theodore noticed her anxiety and gently brushed her cheek. "Don't worry, they'll like you."

He held Wilhelmina's hand and walked up to Darren and Connie, smiling. "Grandpa, Grandma, this is Wilhelmina. You've been waiting for this moment for a long time. Are you satisfied now?"

Connie smiled and took Wilhelmina's hand. "Of course we're satisfied. Not only did we find a daughter-in-law, but she also brought such a lovely child. Theodore, this is unbelievable."

Wilhelmina smiled politely and softly greeted, "Grandpa, Grandma, hello."

"Hello, hello. Look at this child, she's so beautiful. She and Theodore are a perfect match."

Connie's eyes grew moist as she sighed. "It's just a pity your mother can't see this moment."

Seeing her sadness, Wilhelmina gently patted Kaia's head and softly said, "Kaia, this is your great-grandmother and Ernest."

Kaia looked up at them, her little mouth pouting, and said in a tender voice, "Great-grandmother, Ernest, I'm Kaia."

Hearing this, Connie immediately squatted down and hugged Kaia. "Kaia, you've had a tough time, but from now on, we'll take good care of you."

Kaia gently brushed Connie's cheek with her small hand and smiled. "Great-grandmother, I'll love you too. I can do many things. I can massage your back, bring you water, and even cook noodles."

Beatrice's eyes filled with tears. The more sensible a child is, the more heart-wrenching it is.

Seeing how well-behaved Kaia was, she kissed her forehead and said, "Alright, Kaia, come and keep great-grandmother company often."

Darren stood nearby, impatiently waiting.

His hands slowly reached out, his voice trembling. "Kaia, come to Grandpa."

Kaia immediately ran into Darren's arms, hugging his neck. "Grandpa, I can be your eyes from now on. Wherever you want to go, I'll take you."

Darren was moved to tears.

The moment he had longed for had finally come true today.

He hugged Kaia, his large hand gently stroking her head. "Sweetheart, Grandpa will love you dearly from now on."

Seeing Darren so emotional, Theodore chuckled. "Dad, you're so focused on reuniting with Kaia that you're neglecting Wilhelmina."

Darren quickly stood up, wiped his tears, and took a small box from his pocket.

He handed it to Wilhelmina. "Wilhelmina, I'm entrusting this to you. From now on, you'll be in charge of this family."

Wilhelmina was taken aback and glanced at Theodore.

Theodore smiled and ruffled her hair. "Silly, what are you looking at? This is your responsibility. From now on, you'll handle everything in this family, understand?"

He took the bracelet from Darren and put it on Wilhelmina's wrist.

Then he smiled and said, "Take good care of your things, Mrs. Vale."

Wilhelmina was touched by the family's warmth.

She had thought that wealthy families were aloof and would look down on someone like her with no background.

But to her surprise, they not only didn't look down on her but treated her so well.

She smiled and respectfully called Darren, "Dad, don't worry, I'll do my best."

Theodore then introduced her to the other elders in the family.

Joyce couldn't wait any longer. She bent down and hugged Kaia, kissing her cheek. "Kaia, do you know who I am?"

Kaia nodded eagerly. "You're Paxon's mom and my aunt."

Alissa also came over and asked, "Kaia, what about me?"

"You're Aunt Alissa. Paxon told me about you."

Everyone was surprised and asked Kaia, "Do you know who they all are?"

"That's Paxon's dad, my uncle, and that's Uncle Julian."

Seeing that she got them all right, Joyce was curious. "How do you know everyone?"

Kaia's bright eyes blinked. "Daddy showed me your photos, so I remembered everyone."

Sebastian glanced at Theodore and laughed. "This kid might have inherited my son's photographic memory."

Theodore smirked. "Why would my daughter inherit from your son? If anything, she'd inherit from her aunt. You're all grown up and still talking nonsense. How did you become a lawyer's husband?"

Alexander joked, "Haven't you heard? Pregnancy affects intelligence. Sebastian just gave birth."

Sebastian raised an eyebrow. "You're just jealous that I had two kids quickly, while it took you years to have one."

Alexander retorted angrily, "I think this house can't contain you anymore. Don't forget, my wife is carrying Paxon's fiancée. If you don't treat me well, I might not agree to their marriage."

"If you dare, I'll break your legs."

Tyler chimed in, "Try breaking one. I'm afraid Paxon won't let you. Nowadays, having a daughter gives you confidence. Like me, Todd gives my daughter all the best food."

The group hadn't gathered in a while, and as soon as they did, they started teasing each other.

The family sat together, chatting and eating, creating a lively atmosphere.

This kept Paxon busy.

He took Kaia upstairs and downstairs, introducing her to the rooms and various facilities.

Kaia looked at her beautiful children's room and jumped with excitement.

"Paxon, this room is so pretty, like a princess's room."

Paxon grinned. "Because you're Uncle's little princess. Tomorrow, I'll take you to my house. Dad decorated my sister's room beautifully too."

Kaia nodded eagerly. "Paxon, can I kiss them?"

"You can, but don't let my dad see. He doesn't like anyone kissing Ingrid. Grandpa scolded him several times because of it."

Just as he finished speaking, Sebastian came up behind him and gave him a light smack on the butt.

"Talking bad about me behind my back again."

Paxon turned to look at him. "Did I say anything wrong? Every time I kiss Ingrid, you complain."

"That's because you're too dirty. I'm afraid you'll pass germs to my daughter."

"Hmph, you just want to monopolize her. You think I don't know?"

"Alright, we should head home. Kaia just got here, give her some time to adjust."

Paxon held Kaia's hand. "I'll go now. Tomorrow, I'll come to take you to my house."

Kaia nodded sweetly. "Okay, Paxon, see you."

All the guests left, and the house finally returned to peace.

Kaia went to play in the garden with Darren.

Theodore took Wilhelmina to their room.

Seeing the room decorated like a wedding suite, filled with joy, Wilhelmina felt a warm current flow through her heart.

She looked up at Theodore, her voice a bit hoarse. "I really like this family and everyone in it. They're all better than I imagined."

Theodore kissed her forehead and softly said, "You should like your husband even more."
