Chapter 588 Special Gift

Theodore jumped up and gently helped Darren, saying, "Dad, don't get all worked up. Let me help you outside to greet them."

"Alright, let's go."

As they stepped out of the villa, Joyce and Sebastian were already getting out of the car with their kids.

Seeing them approach, Joyce's eyes darkened slightly, and she called out to Theodore, "Hey, Theodore."

Then she turned her gaze to Darren, who was staring blankly in their direction. He seemed to have aged significantly, his smile stiff and cautious.

Joyce bit her lip and softly greeted, "Mr. Vale, it's been a while."

Her words brought tears to Darren's eyes. He had thought Joyce would ignore him, but she had taken the initiative to greet him.

He immediately nodded with a smile, "Joyce, bring the kids inside. It's windy out here."

Joyce was about to walk inside with Zaid when Zaid suddenly made a strange sound, looking in Darren's direction. Hearing this, Darren became excited but didn't dare to ask directly to see the child. He stood still, straining to listen.

Seeing him like this, Joyce bit her lip lightly and said, "Theodore, can you hold Zaid for me?"

Theodore quickly walked over and took Zaid in his arms. The little guy didn't seem shy at all, appearing quite excited in the new environment, blowing bubbles from his mouth.

Theodore smiled and kissed him, "Zaid, do you recognize your uncle? When you grow up, Uncle will take you to have some fun."

Sebastian nudged him lightly, "Don't talk nonsense to Zaid. You've already led Paxon astray."

Laughing and chatting, they all went inside.

Once Darren couldn't hear Joyce's footsteps, he dared to approach and ask, "Can I hold the baby?"

Sebastian placed Ingrid in his arms, "Dad, this is Ingrid."

Ingrid, held by Darren, showed no fear, waving her little fists and looking up at him, making 'oh ah' sounds. Feeling the small life and hearing the child's voice, Darren's eyes filled with tears.

He had never imagined he would have a day like this. Joyce had brought her children to see him, and he could enjoy their company.

Darren gently stroked Ingrid, his voice hoarse, "This is our little princess. Grandpa will buy you the prettiest dresses."

Ingrid seemed to understand, smiling widely.

Sebastian laughed, "Dad, she's smiling at you. Even though you've never met Ingrid before, she feels close to you."

Darren was even happier, tears streaming down his face. He kissed Ingrid's little hand, "Such a cute little princess."

"Our little princess Ingrid has so many people to love her. She'll be the happiest child in the world, unlike her mom, who should have been a cherished princess but faced so many hardships. Thinking about it, I can't forgive myself for my mistakes."

Mentioning the past again, Darren's tears flowed even more.

Theodore quickly comforted him, "Dad, don't cry. From now on, we can shower the love we owe Joyce on the kids, making sure our little princess grows up happy and healthy."

"Alright, I'll spend all my money on the three kids. Anyway, you can't find a wife, so I don't need to save for you."

"How can you say that? Who says I can't find a wife? Maybe I'll bring my wife and kids home together."

Sebastian teased, "It's possible. Paxon is trying to set you up with Kaia's mom. If you marry her, you'll have both a wife and kids."

"If I wanted to marry her, I would have done it long ago. You know the situation better than anyone."

Darren snorted, "Are you still hung up on that girl? Don't forget how deeply she hurt you. You begged her to stay, but she refused. How can you not forget such a heartless woman?"

Theodore quickly said, "Don't worry about it. It's all in the past."

"Then who are you waiting for? You haven't dated anyone all these years. Do you think I don't know?"

Sebastian smirked, "Dad, Theodore made a mistake back then and wants to take responsibility. But if you find her one day and she's already married with kids, wouldn't it be a waste of effort?"

Theodore's eyes darkened, "If that's the case, I'll wish her well."

He said this, but deep down, he was still determined. He had to find the girl from that night. He could never forget her soft lips and delicate body.

After his heartbreak, he thought he could never love anyone again or have desires for another girl. But that night, he couldn't get enough of her, asking for more until she cried and begged him to stop.

The memory of that night was still vivid, a mix of pain and pleasure. He had planned to take her home when he woke up, but she was gone, leaving only a trace of red on the bed.

He had his secretary search for her, but after a month, there was no trace. Even the hotel footage had been erased.

Thinking about it, Theodore felt a pang of sadness. It was a thorn in his heart, painful yet filled with the memory of that night.

Joyce's family stayed for lunch before heading home. Theodore went to the office for a meeting and later attended a dinner with Spencer Hernandez, who had been eager to collaborate with him.

After a few drinks, Theodore felt dizzy. Spencer quickly approached, "Mr. Vale, you seem to have had too much. Let me get you a room here to rest and send some hangover soup."

Theodore wasn't naive; he knew Spencer's intentions. Pretending to agree, he followed him upstairs.

Spencer opened the door, smiling, "Mr. Vale, I have a gift for you in the room. I hope you like it."

Theodore walked in and saw a woman lying on the bed, dressed in a sheer black gown. Though her eyes were covered, Theodore recognized her immediately.
