Chapter 613 Sleeping Together
Derek laughed heartily, "Yeah, our Paxon is everyone's favorite little guy. Grandpa's so proud of him."
Paxon raised his drink with a grin, "Here's to Uncle's new relationship and to me being a married man. Cheers!"
Sebastian playfully knocked him on the head.
Paxon shot him a look, "I heard from Uncle that when Mom was pregnant with me, you used to do Uncle's homework and carry his backpack just to see her. Don't think I don't know about that."
Sebastian chuckled, "So, it's in the genes, huh?"
"Of course, Dad. You can just enjoy your little secret."
Elise laughed, "Yep, you're just like your dad in that way. Grandma hopes that you and Sophia's kids will have a smooth life, unlike your parents who went through so much, making your mom suffer a lot."
The mention of this made everyone a bit sentimental.
Sebastian held Joyce's hand tightly, "Never again. I won't let our kids go through what we did."
The family continued their meal happily, chatting and laughing, the atmosphere lively and warm.
Meanwhile, on the other side, though it wasn't as lively, it was filled with happiness.
Theodore had told Kaia several stories before she finally fell asleep.
Before drifting off, she hugged his neck and asked, "Daddy, will I see you when I wake up tomorrow morning?"
Seeing her like this, Theodore felt a pang in his heart. He kissed her forehead gently and said softly, "From now on, you'll see Daddy every morning when you wake up."
Kaia kissed his cheek and smiled with her eyes closed, "Daddy, I feel so happy. I'm sure I'll have sweet dreams tonight."
She held Theodore's hand tightly and fell asleep after a while.
Theodore looked at the sleeping Kaia and couldn't help but kiss her again, smiling, "She looks so much like me when she's asleep. How did I never notice that before?"
Wilhelmina looked at him with love in her eyes, "Because she looks so much like you, I used to watch her sleep and think of you."
Hearing this, Theodore felt a pang in his chest.
He hugged Wilhelmina tightly, kissed her forehead, and said in a hoarse voice, "You don't have to look at our daughter and think of me anymore. You can look at me directly."
He kissed Wilhelmina's lips repeatedly, his voice becoming even more hoarse, "I'm sorry. I was so careless. I didn't realize it was you. If I had known the truth back then, you and Kaia wouldn't have suffered so much. It breaks my heart to think about it."
Theodore's words were filled with genuine emotion, his eyes red as he looked at Wilhelmina.
He could never imagine how Wilhelmina had coped with her longing for him through Kaia.
Maybe she had insisted on having Kaia to give her unrequited love a place to belong.
Wilhelmina felt a shiver down her spine from Theodore's kisses and gently pushed him away, whispering, "Stop it. Kaia is a light sleeper."
Theodore blew warm air into her ear and said in a low, husky voice, "How about we go to the bathroom?"
Wilhelmina's cheeks instantly turned red.
She could never forget their first time together.
That day, she received a call saying there was an emergency at home and she needed to return quickly.
She was attending the Vale Group's annual gala at the time.
She immediately asked Theodore for leave to go back.
She saw that Theodore had drunk a bit too much and was a little out of it.
As she was leaving, she reminded Theodore to take care of himself and not to drink too much.
Just as she bought her ticket and got on the bus, she received a call from a colleague saying that Theodore seemed off, not just drunk.
Hearing this, Wilhelmina's heart sank.
Someone like Theodore, a wealthy heir, was always the target of many women.
If someone took advantage of him, with Theodore's sense of responsibility, he would marry that woman against his will.
He would lose his chance at true happiness and the pure love he cherished.
Thinking of this, Wilhelmina immediately got off the bus and took a cab straight to the hotel.
She couldn't let Theodore be taken advantage of, nor could she watch him live a life of regret and pain.
She went straight to Theodore's presidential suite.
The room was dark. She intended to turn on the lights as soon as she entered.
But as soon as she stepped inside, she tripped over something and fell heavily to the floor.
Just when she thought she would be bruised and battered, she heard a groan next to her.
Wilhelmina realized it was Theodore.
He was lying on the floor, which was unusual for someone as fastidious as him.
Wilhelmina tried to get up to turn on the lights and call a doctor.
But before she could move, Theodore pinned her down.
His kisses were forceful and passionate.
She tried to push him away, but Theodore was too strong.
In the end, she surrendered to the kiss.
Theodore, in his dazed state, kept saying, "Help me, I'll take responsibility."
He tore off Wilhelmina's clothes and kissed her soft lips.
The intense stimulation made Wilhelmina cry.
This was the man she loved.
If she was destined never to have him, spending one night with him was a blessing from above.
So, facing Theodore's forceful advances, she cried and begged him to stop.
But Theodore had lost all reason.
Under the influence of the drug, he was like a wild beast.
He took Wilhelmina over and over again.
She didn't know how long it lasted or how many times they did it, but Theodore finally calmed down and fell asleep.
Wilhelmina, sore and exhausted, left the room.
Thinking back to those moments, Wilhelmina felt a mix of sweetness and bitterness.
If it weren't for that night, she and Theodore wouldn't be where they were today.
Maybe her feelings would have remained buried forever.
Theodore looked into Wilhelmina's bright eyes, kissed her gently, and said in a hoarse voice, "Honey, we didn't turn on the lights that night four years ago. How about we keep them on this time?"
He then quietly got out of bed, picked Wilhelmina up, and carried her to the bathroom.
As the bathroom door closed, Theodore's restraint and patience shattered.
He placed Wilhelmina on the sink, his hot lips trailing down her face.
Finally, he kissed her chest.
Theodore's eyes were red as he looked at Wilhelmina, his voice hoarse beyond recognition.
"Honey, it seems like these have gotten bigger since four years ago."
