Chapter 532 The Game Begins
Sophia's eyes welled up as she looked at Alexander standing before her.
He used to be so wild and free, completely untamed.
To Sophia, he was the epitome of a charming playboy.
Yet, this very man had made her heart flutter twice.
Now, Alexander was kneeling in front of her, speaking the sweetest words, his eyes brimming with undeniable affection.
This version of Alexander made Sophia believe that they were destined to love each other for a lifetime.
Sophia slowly extended her hand, tears falling onto the back of it.
Alexander slipped the ring onto her finger and kissed it gently.
Then, looking at her with deep emotion, he asked, "Sophie, can I kiss you?"
It was a question, but before Sophia could respond, he pressed her against the glass and kissed her lips.
In the sky, words exploded in a burst of color, more dazzling than the fireworks before.
The entire night sky was filled with vibrant hues.
Inside the Ferris wheel, the air was thick with unrestrained passion.
They didn't know how long they kissed until cheers erupted around them.
"Congratulations! Wishing you a lifetime of happiness and many children!"
Hearing this, Sophia quickly pushed Alexander away.
Only then did she notice the crowd below the Ferris wheel.
They were her family, friends, and Alexander's family and friends.
Each person held a firework tube, waving at them.
The fireworks seemed to be sending their blessings.
Paxon, unable to contain his excitement, bounced on Sebastian's shoulders.
"Daddy, I want to ride the Ferris wheel! I want to see the fireworks!"
Sophia's eyes welled up again.
She waved to the people below.
The Ferris wheel slowly turned to the boarding point, and smiling faces began to board.
The waitstaff brought out the evening's feast.
After receiving everyone's blessings, they all sat in the Ferris wheel, enjoying the night view and a French dinner.
Paxon and Sebastian's family sat in the compartment next to Sophia's.
Paxon clapped his little hands excitedly, "This is amazing! Sophia and Mr. Cross are finally engaged! I'm so happy!"
Sebastian playfully patted Paxon's little bottom, "I think you're just eager to get a wife."
Paxon pouted, "Well, you won't let me touch your wife, so I have to find my own solution."
"Your mom is pregnant, and you're so active. What if you bump into your little sibling?"
"Anyway, now that you have a new baby, you don't like me anymore. Everything new is better, I'm so miserable."
Seeing Paxon pretend to cry, Sebastian kissed his cheek.
"Alright, stop it. Daddy's going to Snowpeakia tomorrow. Your aunt is picking a husband, and I need to check it out. Do you want to come?"
Hearing about visiting his aunt, Paxon's little head bobbed up and down like a pecking chicken, "Yes, I want to see Auntie and Uncle."
As they got off the Ferris wheel, Paxon was reluctant. "I wanna ride again, Daddy. Will you come with me?"
Sebastian immediately stopped him. "No more rides, buddy. Mommy's pregnant and tired. She's already exhausted. We'll come back another time."
"You promise? No lying."
This proposal was unique, without extravagant scenes or fancy hotels. But it was incredibly meaningful.
Alexander waved to everyone. "You all head out on your own. I have something important to do."
As he said this, his eyes never left Sophia.
Tyler teased, "Be careful. Don't overdo it and lose a kidney. Even if Sophia loves you, she won't marry a cripple."
Alexander kicked him playfully. "Can't you wish me well? Even with one kidney, I'm still better than you."
"When I first got together with Maya, one box wasn't enough. How about you?"
"Don't worry, I have a whole drawer ready for tonight."
"I finally understand how bulls die—blown up by your bragging."
Men's conversations always seemed to have a hint of the risqué.
Sebastian, holding Paxon and Joyce, walked over. He laughed, "Finally, my wish is fulfilled. My daughter-in-law is settled. Hurry up, or Paxon will be in kindergarten."
Alexander teased, "Call me Godfather, and I'll get you a wife."
The term "Godfather" was fitting.
Paxon was a bit confused, blinking his big eyes before understanding. He didn't want to say it because Joyce said they had to be married first. But for his future wife, he gave in.
Paxon sweetly called out, "Godfather, where's my gift?"
He extended his little hand, beckoning Alexander. Everyone laughed.
Alexander pulled out a wad of cash from his wallet and handed it to Paxon. "Here, when my daughter is born, you'll call me Dad."
Sebastian kicked him playfully. "Call you what? He's my son."
"But he's my son-in-law. What else would he call me?"
"A jerk." With that, Sebastian left with his wife and child. Joyce, seeing his annoyed expression, laughed and stroked his chin.
"Alright, don't be mad. Why are you so jealous? Alexander's right. If Paxon becomes his son-in-law, he'll have to call him Dad."
"Let him have a daughter first. My son only has one dad."
Watching Sebastian's retreating figure, Alexander chuckled.
"When my daughter is born, I'll make your life hell."
Then he bent down, picked up Sophia, and said with a smile, "Honey, let's go home and make a baby."
The car quickly arrived at Sophia's small apartment. The same scene, the same two people, reunited after two years.
Sophia couldn't deny her excitement. When Alexander parked the car, her heart raced. She knew what was coming next.
As she unbuckled her seatbelt, ready to get out, Alexander grabbed her wrist. Before she could react, he lifted her into his arms and kissed her.
Kissing her, he whispered, "Baby, let's start tonight's game right here."
