Chapter 574 Tell the Truth
If Bianca was shocked to hear that Snowball was a gift from Edgar, then hearing the story behind the pie felt like a thousand needles piercing her heart.
So, for those two years, Edgar had turned down all work and rarely appeared in public. He had stayed by her side, protecting her.
Why did he do that?
Why did he keep it a secret from her?
Bianca felt her eyes burning, tears welling up.
She had spent so much time trying to forget him, so why did he have to re-enter her life?
Seeing her so upset, Sarah slapped her mouth in frustration.
"I'm sorry, Ms. Winters. I shouldn't have said anything. You're married to Mr. William now. Let the past stay in the past. You and Edgar were just not meant to be.
Even if you had known back then, what difference would it have made? He was just a commoner, unworthy of your noble status. You two would have faced a stormy relationship.
Thankfully, Mr. William treats you well, and you two have a good relationship. Once you have a little queen, you'll never look back."
Bianca stared at Sarah, stunned.
Edgar was of low status, unworthy of her.
So...
The thought made Bianca's eyes widen in disbelief.
She kept muttering, "Impossible, absolutely impossible."
Seeing her distress, Sarah quickly comforted her, "Ms. Winters, don't think about it. It's not good for Mr. William to know about this. If someone with ill intentions finds out about your past with Edgar, it could jeopardize your position."
Bianca forced herself to calm down.
She knew that if this were true, they would be in great danger.
She took a sip of coffee, her voice trembling, "Sarah, help me back to my bedroom to rest."
Back in her bedroom, after calming down for a long time, she called Sebastian.
As soon as the video call connected, she saw Paxon's adorable little face.
Paxon grinned, "Aunt Bianca, did you miss me?"
Bianca, who had been anxious, felt a wave of relief wash over her at the sound of his voice.
She smiled and asked, "Why haven't you called me lately?"
Paxon turned the camera to show two kids, laughing, "I've been helping Dad take care of my brother and sister. If I didn't help, he'd be exhausted."
Hearing his serious tone, Bianca couldn't help but laugh.
In the video, Sebastian was feeding one of the babies, his deep eyes filled with affection.
As he fed the baby, he said, "Honey, I need to feed our daughter more. Look, she's so hungry she's getting thin."
Joyce laughed, "She's already half a pound heavier than her brother, and you say she's thin. If you keep spoiling her, she'll be spoiled rotten."
Sebastian confidently replied, "No way, my precious daughter is the most obedient. She'll be Daddy's little girl forever."
Watching this, Paxon sighed, "Aunt Bianca, did you see that? Dad is so biased. Ever since he had a daughter, he had forgotten about me and my brother. He even said he wants to send me to preschool. Aunt Bianca, isn't that so sad?"
Bianca couldn't help but laugh, "Why don't you come to me? Let your dad take care of your sister. We don't need him, okay?"
Paxon blinked his big eyes, his voice soft, "I want to, but Dad can't handle it alone. He has to take care of the kids and Mom. I'm staying because I feel bad for Mom."
"What can you help with? Not making a mess is already good enough."
"Aunt Bianca, don't underestimate me. I can throw away diapers and tell stories. When Mom is tired, I can play with them. I'm very useful."
Hearing this, Sebastian looked over and laughed, "Yes, you're very useful, always fighting with my daughter for breast milk. You're so old and still want to nurse. People will laugh at you."
Paxon immediately ran over to cover his mouth, his big eyes glaring, "I didn't fight. I just tasted it. Mom said I never had her milk when I was little, so she let me try. Mom, isn't that right?"
Joyce, seeing him so flustered, laughed and nodded, "Yes, I let him. You fed the baby so much formula that I was engorged. So, I let Paxon help. You can't blame him."
Paxon looked at Sebastian with righteous indignation, "Dad, did you hear that? You wronged me. You need to apologize."
Sebastian handed the fed baby to Joyce, smiling as he ruffled Paxon's hair, "Okay, it was my fault. I'm sorry. Let me kiss you."
He kissed Paxon's cheek, his eyes smiling at Bianca, "Paxon is so helpful. I can't do without him, right, Paxon?"
Paxon, feeling proud, said, "That's more like it. You talk to Aunt Bianca. I'll go check on my sister."
He handed the phone to Sebastian and ran off.
Sebastian smiled and then said, "Having kids is exhausting, but so rewarding. Bianca, you and Smith should have one soon."
Bianca stared at him for a few seconds, then asked, "Sebastian, did you tell me the truth about Smith's background?"
