Chapter 528 Paxon's Thoughts

Hearing Sophia's cries and seeing her tears, Alexander slowly collapsed to the ground, closing his eyes.

Witnessing this, Jason went nearly mad, laughing maniacally towards the sky.

"Daisy, I avenged you. If you can't have him, neither can she. Now, Alexander is coming to find you. You won't be alone anymore, and I'll be joining you soon."

With that, he popped a pill into his mouth.

Within seconds, he was foaming at the mouth and fell to the ground.

The police, alerted by the commotion, rushed in.

The bomb squad quickly removed the explosives from Sophia.

She immediately threw herself towards Alexander.

Seeing the blood gushing from his chest, Sophia trembled all over.

She slowly crouched beside Alexander, holding his large hand and sobbing.

"Alexander, didn't you just promise me? You said you'd never leave me again. Why didn't you keep your word? Why do I have to face this alone?"

Sophia collapsed to the ground, crying uncontrollably.

Gordon rushed over and held Sophia in his arms, comforting her.

"Sophia, don't cry. Let the doctors save him. Believe in Alexander. He's a cardiologist; he wouldn't have hit his heart directly."

Hearing this, Sophia cried even harder.

"Dad, he's lost his memory. He doesn't remember any of his medical knowledge."

Gordon's glimmer of hope was shattered.

His face turned pale.

Gordon bent down and lifted Sophia from the ground.

He whispered, "No matter what, we have to believe in him. Stay strong and follow the ambulance to the hospital."

Half an hour later, Alexander was wheeled into the emergency room.

Both the Cross and Sinclair families were present.

Sebastian and Tyler also rushed over.

The entire hallway was filled with people.

Everyone's face bore an indescribable sorrow.

In the past, Sebastian would have believed that Alexander wouldn't die.

Because he was a cardiologist, he would have perfectly avoided the heart.

But now, he had lost his memory.

Sebastian stood at the emergency room door, clenching his fist tightly.

A few hours later, the operating room door opened.

The doctor came out, and everyone rushed forward.

Sophia grabbed the doctor's hand and asked, "Doctor, how is he?"

The doctor removed his mask and said, "It was very close. Just a few millimeters more, and he would have been gone. The surgery is done, but he won't wake up until tomorrow morning. He really dodged a bullet."

Hearing this, Sophia, who had been holding on, fainted instantly.

When she woke up again, it was already the next morning.

A small, furry head was bobbing beside her bed.

Seeing Sophia awake, Paxon immediately climbed onto the bed.

He lay beside Sophia, his eyes red, and said, "Sophia, you're finally awake. I thought you didn't want me anymore."

With that, big tears started to fall.

Sophia immediately reached out to wipe them away, her voice hoarse, "I'm fine, Paxon. Don't worry."

Paxon gently stroked Sophia's cheek and said softly, "Sophia, the bad guys are dead. No one will come between you and Mr. Cross anymore. You two will never be apart again."

"Is he awake?"

"Not yet. Dad and Mr. Green are with him. Dad said if he doesn't wake up soon, he'll wake him up with a punch."

Joyce walked over and ruffled his hair, saying, "Dad was joking, just trying to get Mr. Cross to wake up sooner. Sophia, how are you feeling?"

Sophia shook her head, "I'm fine. I'm sorry you had to run around with your big belly."

"It's good exercise. It'll make delivery easier. I had some porridge made for you. You should eat a little, or you'll need your strength to take care of Alexander when he wakes up."

Joyce handed a bowl of porridge to Sophia, looking at her with concern, "People say Sebastian and I have had a rocky relationship, but you and Alexander aren't any better off. I hope we can all have some peace from now on."

Paxon hugged Sophia's neck and kissed her cheek, "You have to be safe. I'm still waiting for you to give me a wife."

Hearing this, Joyce couldn't help but laugh.

"When Paxon heard you were in trouble, he cried and said, 'If Sophia dies, my wife is gone too, and I'll be a single man.'"

Hearing this, Sophia couldn't help but laugh. She hugged Paxon and said, "When Alexander gets better, I'll give you a very beautiful wife."

As they were talking, the door to the room opened.

Sebastian, dressed in black, stood at the door. "Alexander is awake. He wants to see Sophia."
