Chapter 624 Uncle Leonard is Anxious
Brian was completely floored.
He never thought Wilhelmina would hang onto those pieces of evidence.
Tears streaming down his face, he begged Wilhelmina, "Wilhelmina, Dad was just confused back then. I swear I'll change. Please, don't turn me in."
Wilhelmina scoffed, "Not only am I turning you in, but I'm also cutting you out of my life. From now on, you won't have any power over me. You won't haunt my dreams anymore. We're strangers from here on out."
Hearing this, the bodyguards dragged Brian away.
As he struggled, Brian realized Wilhelmina was dead serious. Panicked, he looked desperately at Phoenix in the corner.
He cried out, "Miss Thomas, you promised me! You said if I came here and caused trouble, you'd pay me and help me get out of the country. You can't go back on your word. You can't let me go back to prison."
Phoenix hadn't expected to be recognized despite her disguise.
She didn't want to deal with Brian's mess.
Phoenix chuckled lightly, "What are you talking about? I don't even know you."
Seeing her reaction, Brian immediately pointed at her and shouted, "It was her who paid my bail and told me to come here and cause trouble. She said if I ruined this wedding and made Wilhelmina look bad, she'd give me money to disappear. I did everything she said. She can't just back out now."
All eyes turned to Phoenix.
Phoenix clenched her fists in anger.
Just as she was about to argue, Theodore's cold voice cut through the air.
"My wedding didn't invite Miss Thomas. I don't know how you got in here. You thought using this lowlife would make me hate my wife and marry you, right? Miss Thomas, your plan was thorough, but you made a mistake. Even if there was no Wilhelmina, no Kaia, I wouldn't get back with you. I told you this four years ago. Did you not understand, or did you do it on purpose? In front of everyone here, let me make it clear: the only person I love now is my wife, Wilhelmina. For the rest of my life, I will never leave her. Miss Thomas, please respect yourself and stop interfering in our lives. And of course, since this incident was caused by you, I won't let it slide. From now on, the Vale Family will cut all business ties with the Thomas Family."
Before he finished speaking, Sebastian's firm voice echoed, "The Winters family will also sever all ties with the Thomas Family. Wilhelmina is now part of our family. Anyone who dares to go against her is going against both of our families. I hope everyone takes note."
These words were clearly meant not only for Phoenix but for all the elite families present.
Anyone who dared to look down on Wilhelmina would be opposing both the Winters and Vale families.
Phoenix was left red-faced with embarrassment.
She hadn't expected Theodore to protect Wilhelmina so fiercely, nor for Sebastian to back her up.
Why?
Her eyes reddened as she glared at Theodore, "Theodore, do we really have to go this far?"
Theodore sneered, "Isn't this what you wanted? You've targeted Wilhelmina over and over, and I've always shown you mercy. Now you've crashed my wedding. Do you think I'll forgive you? Miss Thomas isn't on our guest list. Escort her out."
His good manners kept him from saying "get out," but the message was clear.
Facing Theodore's cold indifference, Phoenix's eyes filled with tears.
She bit her lip hard and looked at the bodyguards, "I don't need you. I'll leave on my own."
With that, she walked away with a proud stride.
People whispered behind her.
Once everything settled down, Theodore took Wilhelmina back to their room to change clothes.
Seeing her slightly red eyes, he gently caressed her cheek and said softly, "Wilhelmina, with me here, no one will ever bully you again."
Thinking about her past twenty years, the hardships she endured, how she barely escaped Brian's clutches only to return because of their child, enduring Brian's relentless oppression, Theodore's heart ached.
How much love did she have to keep their child?
How much love did she have to give birth to their daughter and raise her?
Compared to Wilhelmina's intense love, Theodore felt somewhat ashamed.
He tightly held Wilhelmina's hand, kissing it repeatedly.
He didn't know how to express his pain for her and his love.
Seeing him like this, Wilhelmina gently stroked his head and said softly, "Honey, I'm fine. Let's change clothes quickly. Everyone is waiting for us."
Theodore cupped her face, his gaze burning with intensity.
His voice was husky, "Honey, I want to kiss you right now."
"Didn't we just kiss when we exchanged rings?"
"Yes, but I want to kiss you again. Honey, I will always love you."
With that, he leaned in and kissed Wilhelmina's lips.
This kiss was bound to be passionate and lingering.
After Kaia changed her clothes, she held Paxon's hand and went to find her mom, only to see this scene.
Paxon immediately covered her mouth and whispered in her ear, "See? I was right. Mom and Dad are true love. We were just a surprise. You need to get used to it."
Kaia smiled brightly, "Paxon, I really love our family now. Everyone loves Mom and me."
Paxon tapped her head, "Of course, you're my family. How could I not like you? Come on, I'll take you to get some cookies."
He held Kaia's hand and went downstairs, just in time to see Leonard carrying Orla upstairs.
Paxon’s eyes widened in disbelief, "Uncle Leonard, did you see Uncle get married and realize you're the only single one left? Are you in a hurry?"
Leonard kicked his little butt and laughed, "What nonsense are you talking about? Orla twisted her ankle. I'm getting the first aid kit."
Paxon immediately took the task, "Got it, Uncle Leonard. You wait here. I'll be right back."
With that, he ran off with Kaia.
Leonard placed Orla on the sofa in the second-floor hall, gently removing her shoe.
He pressed her ankle lightly and asked softly, "Does it hurt when I touch it?"
Orla nodded with teary eyes, "It hurts, Uncle Leonard. It really hurts."
Seeing her in pain, Leonard couldn't help but hold her in his arms, gently stroking her head to comfort her, "It'll be better once we apply some medicine. Uncle Leonard will be gentle."
As they embraced, a clear voice suddenly came from behind, "What are you two doing?"
