Chapter 544 Want to Be the Second Aunt

Upon hearing the voice, Paxon immediately covered his mouth in fright.

His big, bright eyes blinked rapidly as he looked at Leonard.

Leonard picked him up and gave him a playful smack on the bottom, laughing, "Still think I'm old?"

Paxon quickly pleaded in a soft voice, "I won't say it anymore, Uncle Leonard, please forgive me."

"You do get scared sometimes, huh? Since your grandparents and parents aren't here, if you don't behave, I'll deal with you."

"I'll be very good, Uncle Leonard. Are you tired? Let me give you a back massage."

With that, he started pounding Leonard's back with his little fists, his face full of flattery.

Seeing how quickly he changed his tune, Leonard couldn't help but kiss him on the cheek. "Be good, or I'll send you back home."

"Don't send me by mail! What if I get lost? Then you won't have such a cute baby anymore."

He hugged Leonard's head and kissed him on the cheek, instantly melting Leonard's heart.

Leonard pinched his cheek and said, "Now I understand why your grandparents are wrapped around your finger. Who wouldn't love that sweet mouth of yours? Go wash up and then eat."

He placed Paxon on the bed and then reached out to touch Orla's forehead.

Feeling his cool touch and sensing his presence, Orla's heart seemed to stop for a moment.

Her doe-like eyes stared blankly at Leonard's handsome face.

Leonard frowned slightly, "You still have a bit of a fever. After breakfast, take your medicine."

Orla obediently responded with a soft "okay."

Paxon stood on the floor, tilting his little head as he watched them, his bright eyes filled with mischief.

Leonard ruffled his hair. "Why aren't you washing up yet?"

"I'm waiting for Orla. She's a guest, and I need to take care of her."

Leonard couldn't help but laugh, "Then take Orla to wash up. Your stuff is in my room."

"Okay, I'll get it and wash up with Orla."

He immediately ran out with his short legs.

When he returned, Leonard was already gone.

He ran into the bathroom and looked up at Orla. "Orla, why does your face turn red when Uncle Leonard touches you?"

Orla was brushing her teeth and almost choked at his question.

She coughed several times and quickly explained, "That's because I have a fever."

Paxon nodded thoughtfully, "But when Lydia holds Todd's hand, Todd's face turns red too. Is he also having a fever?"

Orla thought, 'Are kids this hard to deal with nowadays? How did he notice such a small detail?'

She laughed awkwardly, "Maybe. Why do you care so much? Hurry up and wash up, then let's eat. I'm starving."

Paxon wouldn't let go, "But Alissa said Todd was shy. Are you shy, too?"

Orla pinched his cheek with a smile, "Can you let me go? I'm begging you."

Paxon blinked his big eyes and nodded, "Okay, I get it. Todd likes Lydia, so he gets shy. So you like Leonard."

Hearing this, Orla immediately covered his mouth.

She nervously looked outside the bathroom, and seeing no sign of Leonard, she squatted down and said to Paxon, "You can't say that. If Uncle Leonard finds out, he won't talk to me."

Paxon was puzzled, "Why wouldn't he talk to you? He doesn't have a wife. You can be his wife. Grandma said if he doesn't get married soon, he'll become an old bachelor."

Orla made a shushing gesture.

She whispered in his ear, "If he finds out, he'll send both of us back home. I don't want to go back; I need to go to school. Can you keep this secret for me?"

Paxon nodded, half understanding, "So you don't like Uncle Leonard?"

"I do, but not now. Maybe when I'm older."

"I understand. Don't worry, I'll keep your secret and won't tell Uncle Leonard you want to be his wife."

"Please, let's not talk about this anymore, okay?"

The two of them went downstairs, and Leonard had already set the breakfast table.

He looked at them in surprise, "Why are you so slow? Aren't you hungry?"

Orla immediately walked over, looking at the sumptuous breakfast on the table, and exclaimed, "Uncle Leonard, you're amazing! Not only can you catch bad guys and run a company, but you can also cook. How can anyone not like you?"

Paxon climbed onto a chair and nodded in agreement, "Yeah, Uncle Leonard, you're so great that Orla might start liking you."

Orla thought: What happened to keeping the secret? Did he just sell me out? This friendship boat sank way too fast.

Leonard didn't take it seriously and playfully knocked Paxon on the head, "Stop talking nonsense and eat your breakfast."

"I wasn't..."

He was about to say something when Orla stuffed a bite of egg into his mouth.

She whispered in his ear, "Didn't you promise to keep the secret?"

Paxon immediately realized his mistake and quickly looked at Leonard, "Orla doesn't like you. She thinks you're old."

Orla thought, 'Are you making things worse?'

Leonard laughed and knocked him on the head again, "Saying I'm old again? Where am I old?"

Orla, worried he might spill more, quickly fed him a bite of noodles, "Paxon, try Uncle Leonard's noodles. They're really good."

With his mouth full, Paxon finally quieted down.

Orla's heart slowly settled.

As they were eating, the doorbell rang.

Leonard immediately got up to answer it.

A particularly beautiful woman walked in.

She wore a high-end dress, had tea-colored curly hair, and delicate features.

Seeing Leonard, her face immediately showed a shy smile.

"Leo, I bought you breakfast from your favorite place. Try it and see if you like it."

Leonard didn't take it but responded calmly, "I've already made breakfast. You can keep it for yourself."

The woman's eyes lit up, "Can I join you for breakfast? I need to discuss the PM project with you."

"I have family here, so it's not convenient. We can talk about work at the office. I won't keep you. Please leave."

With that, he made a gentlemanly gesture to show her out.

The woman was displeased and looked towards the dining room.

She immediately saw Orla sitting there.

Jealousy surged within her.

Leonard was always reclusive and uninterested in women. Why was there a woman in his house?

And they were having breakfast together.

Did they spend the night together?

With this thought, the woman's heart felt a pang of bitterness.

She wouldn't let the man she worked so hard to pursue slip away.

She suddenly swayed and pretended to be weak, falling into Leonard's arms.

In a weak voice, she said, "Leo, I might have low blood sugar from buying breakfast. Can I rest at your place for a bit?"

Leonard immediately stepped back, his brows furrowing tightly, his voice calm but firm, "You can sit for a while."

With that, he turned and walked towards the dining room.

The woman pretended to be weak and followed him.

As she entered the dining room, she saw Paxon blinking his bright eyes at her.

Her blood instantly boiled.

Why did this little boy look so much like Leonard?

When did he have a son?

Was it with this woman?

A series of thoughts flooded the woman's mind.

She walked to the table and greeted Orla and Paxon with a smile, "Hello, I'm Leo's fiancée. My name is Lina Kingsley."
