Chapter 625 Uncle Leonard Applies Medicine
The two of them looked over at the same time and saw Tyler pacing toward them.
Leonard's face was calm, "Orla twisted her ankle. She's crying about it."
Tyler didn't think much of it. He walked over to Orla, crouched down, and grabbed her foot to take a look.
But his movement was too rough, making Orla cry out in pain immediately.
"Ow ow ow, Uncle, can you be a little gentler?"
The tears that had been welling up in her eyes now streamed down her cheeks.
Tyler glanced at her and said with a smile, "Is it really that bad? Are you faking it like you did when you were little?"
Hearing this, Leonard glared at him, "Can't you see her ankle is swollen? You think everyone's like you, always pretending to be weak in front of your wife."
Tyler grinned mischievously, "You'd like to pretend too, but you don't have anyone to pretend for. Must kill you!"
Leonard laughed in exasperation and kicked him, "You're thirty years old and still act like a child. How are you the father of two kids?"
"I know you're jealous because you don't have a wife or kids. I won't stoop to your level."
Seeing the two of them bickering endlessly, Orla huffed in frustration, "Are you two ever going to stop? My foot is killing me, and instead of helping me, you're just fighting. I'm telling Grandma later."
Tyler immediately smiled and ruffled Orla's hair, "I'll get the medicine and help you apply it in a bit. Stay away from Uncle Leonard from now on. He looks all refined and restrained, but he's actually crazy inside."
Leonard snorted coldly, "Fine, you said it. When she goes back to Snowpeakia, I won't look after her anymore."
Hearing this, Orla pouted angrily, "Uncle, can you please say less? Uncle Leonard isn't like you—he wouldn't ignore me. He's so good to me. I intern at his company during breaks, and he even treats me to fancy meals."
"Ha, you dummy, a few meals and he's bought you over. I'm the one who raised you since you were little. How could you betray me?"
As they were talking, Paxon came running over with a medicine kit.
Running and saying, "Orla, I'm here! Does it hurt a lot?"
He ran to Orla's side on his little legs, panting, his bright big eyes looking at her slightly swollen ankle.
Then he looked up at Leonard, "Uncle Leonard, hurry up and put medicine on Orla. She's in so much pain."
Leonard rubbed his head a few times and chuckled, "Someone said they don't need my help. We can't steal someone else's good intentions. Let's give this opportunity to Mr. Green."
Tyler took the medicine kit and glanced at Leonard, "Still holding a grudge? Fine, I'll do it. It's not like I haven't done this before. I always apply medicine for my daughter when she gets hurt."
Paxon blinked his big eyes and said in a soft voice, "Yeah, Mr. Green is really good at applying medicine. Last time Lydia got hurt, Mr. Green used the wrong medicine on her and she ended up in the hospital."
Hearing this, Tyler smiled and tapped Paxon's head, "I only made that mistake once, and you've kept it in your brain all this time."
"I have a good memory. I remember things from forever ago. I even have a photographic memory."
Leonard smiled, picked up Paxon, kissed his cheek and said, "Paxon is so smart, unlike you—you big dummy."
While teasing, he found the ointment in the medicine kit, poured some into his palm, then rubbed it on Orla's ankle.
With just one touch, Orla cried out loudly, "Ah, it hurts!"
Paxon saw Orla's face turn a bit pale and immediately protested, "Mr. Green, are you trying to kill Orla? Why are you using so much force?"
Tyler looked surprised, "I barely used any force. Why are you yelling? You went to Snowpeakia and came back so delicate? You weren't like this before."
Paxon crossed his arms, "That's because someone takes better care of her than you do. If you don't believe me, let my Uncle Leonard try."
"Ha, you two are ganging up on me, aren't you? I don't believe your Uncle Leonard can do better than me. Come on, you do it. I want to see how you handle it."
Leonard put Paxon down, poured a little ointment into his palm, then looked up at Orla and said gently, "Uncle Leonard will be gentler, but it might still hurt a little. Bear with it."
Orla nodded.
Feeling Leonard's large hand gently rubbing her ankle, the pain in her foot seemed to disappear.
She looked at Leonard with watery eyes.
Paxon, standing to the side, looked up at Tyler and teased, "Mr. Green, see? Someone does take better care of her than you, right?"
Tyler smiled and patted his little bottom, "You little brat, did you and Orla plan to gang up on me? If Uncle Leonard takes such good care of her, let him do it. I'll take you to the dinner party. If we go late, everyone will have eaten everything. Let those two eat the leftovers."
With that, he bent down and picked up Paxon.
He smirked at Leonard, "You've got this covered. I'll save you some salad and bread."
Paxon's eyes gleamed mischievously as he waved at Orla, "Orla, hang in there!"
Others thought he was encouraging Orla not to be afraid of the pain.
Only Orla understood what he really meant.
She made a "fighting" gesture at Paxon, then looked at Leonard with gentle eyes, "Uncle Leonard, am I keeping you from dinner?"
Leonard raised his eyelids and glanced at her, "Do you think your Uncle Leonard has never been to a party before?"
"No, it's just that you rarely come back, and it's not easy to get together with friends and family. Now you're here taking care of me instead. I feel a bit bad."
"Good that you know. So just sit still and stop wandering around, okay?"
Orla nodded obediently, "I know. Uncle Leonard, how many days are you staying?"
"What, can't bear to see me leave?"
"What if I said yes? What would you think?"
