Chapter 601 Family Portrait
As Leonard's lips brushed against Orla's, her cheeks instantly turned fiery red.
Her heart started racing.
So soft, I really want to kiss him, what should I do?
Just as she began to daydream, Leonard tapped her head with a spoon. "Did you wash your hands before shoving food into my mouth?"
Orla stammered, "I did! I just wanted to share something delicious with you."
Leonard didn't mind. Instead, he opened his mouth and ate the remaining ravioli from Orla's hand.
He mischievously bit her finger.
With a sly smile, he said, "Oops, sorry, I bit your finger."
Orla's face was already flushed, and now with her finger bitten, she felt like she might faint.
A tingling sensation spread from her finger throughout her body.
Her beautiful eyes were filled with emotions she couldn't hide, staring at Leonard without blinking.
Seeing her like this, Leonard chuckled, "Did it hurt? Let me see."
He grabbed Orla's hand and noticed a bite mark on her pale fingertip. Apologetically, he said, "I didn't bite hard, but it's already red."
Orla pouted, "Uncle Leonard bullied me. I fed you ravioli, and you bit me."
Leonard lowered his head and blew on her finger a few times, then gently comforted her, "Alright, next time Uncle Leonard will bite more gently, okay?"
It was meant as a joke, but to Orla, it felt like he was flirting with her.
That unintentional flirtation made it even harder for her to resist.
As they were having breakfast, Paxon suddenly called.
Leonard immediately answered.
Paxon had just finished his bath and was lying in bed, ready to sleep.
His little legs were kicking.
His tiny feet kept moving.
He looked adorable.
With a big smile, he asked, "Uncle Leonard, did you miss me?"
Leonard raised an eyebrow, "Of course, I missed you like crazy. I heard you made a new girlfriend at preschool, is that true?"
Paxon's big eyes widened instantly, "Uncle Leonard, don't say that! If my wife hears, she'll be mad. Kaia is just my sister; she's going to call Theodore 'Dad' in the future."
Hearing this, Leonard's interest was piqued, "Theodore has a wife? And a daughter? When did this happen? How come I didn't know?"
"I'm telling you now because you're Uncle Leonard. Theodore is about to get hitched, and you'll be the only single person left in the family. Don't be sad, Uncle Leonard, I won't feel sorry for you."
Leonard laughed, "Save it, I don't need your pity."
"Uncle Leonard, is there someone with you? I saw a girl's hand. Are you secretly dating?"
Leonard turned the camera towards Orla and laughed, "Don't be silly. This is Orla. She's on vacation and has nowhere to go, so she's coming to work with me."
Paxon was surprised, his eyes wide.
"Orla, are you going to work with Uncle Leonard?"
Orla smiled, "Yes, I'm Uncle Leonard's Betsy now."
Paxon grinned, "That's awesome! You have to work hard."
"I will. I bought you lots of snacks and sent them to you. Make sure to pick them up."
Paxon smirked, "Are you bribing me to keep quiet? Don't worry, I won't spill the beans."
"Alright, you should get some sleep. I gotta head to work after breakfast."
Paxon chatted with Leonard for a bit longer before hanging up.
Kaia's mom works with her uncle, and now Orla is going to work with Uncle Leonard. Why do they all like office romances?
Just like mom and dad.
Will they end up together like mom and dad?
Will he soon have more family members?
Wow, if that's the case, there will be more people who love him.
He'll soon be attending another wedding, being the ring bearer again.
Thinking about this, Paxon's smile grew wider.
Sebastian walked in just in time to see this.
He smiled and walked over, patting Paxon's little feet, "What mischief are you up to now?"
Paxon immediately jumped into his arms, looking up at him, "Dad, you might have to prepare another wedding gift."
Sebastian raised an eyebrow, puzzled, "Hmm? For who, Theodore?"
"Yes! Now Kaia's mom, Wilhelmina, is his secretary. They spend a lot of time together, so they must be getting close. They might get married soon."
Sebastian kissed his chubby cheek, "Don't worry about adult stuff. Theodore won't fall for Wilhelmina."
Paxon stared at him with wide eyes, "Why not? Wilhelmina is so pretty, and they spend so much time together. Why can't he like her?"
"I told you, he has someone in his heart. Until he figures out that person's situation, he won't like anyone else. Otherwise, he wouldn't have waited all these years."
"Who is that person? If she likes Theodore, she wouldn't avoid him."
"Theodore doesn't know who she is either. Adult matters are complicated. You won't understand. Now, go to sleep. I'll read you a story."
Sebastian lay next to him, picked up a storybook, and started reading.
Paxon's mind wasn't on the story. He kept thinking about Theodore.
The next morning.
He woke up early and called Theodore.
As soon as the call connected, he said, "Theodore, can you take me to school today?"
Theodore, still in bed, frowned, "Is your dad busy?"
"Kaia misses you. She wants to see you but is too shy to call, so she asked me to bring you over. You won't turn me down, will you?"
Hearing this, Theodore smiled, "Alright, I'll come pick you up."
Half an hour later, Theodore brought Paxon to the preschool.
Sure enough, Kaia was waiting at the entrance.
Seeing Theodore, Kaia jumped up excitedly.
She looked up at Wilhelmina and said, "Mom, it's Theodore."
Before Wilhelmina could react, Kaia ran towards Theodore.
"Theodore, I have a gift for you!"
Theodore couldn't resist bending down to pick up the adorable Kaia.
He pinched her cheek and smiled, "What gift? Show me."
Kaia took out a piece of paper from her backpack and handed it to Theodore, "Our teacher asked us to draw a picture. The theme is 'We are a loving family.' This is me, this is you, this is mom, and this is Paxon."
