Chapter 521 Paxon Assists
Sebastian and Joyce were walking by when they noticed Bianca seemed a bit off. They immediately asked, "Hey Bianca, what's up?"
Bianca forced a smile and shook her head. "Oh, it's nothing. Probably just my contact lenses acting up."
Joyce stepped forward and linked arms with Bianca. "If you're uncomfortable, you should change them. It's not good for your eyes. Let me take you back to your room."
"No need, I'll be fine in a bit. You go have fun with your friends. I'll go check on the others."
With that, Bianca left, holding her wine glass.
Watching her walk away, Edgar, standing not far off, felt his deep eyes gradually turn red.
Seeing this, Paxon immediately climbed down from Alexander's lap.
He ran over to Edgar with his short legs and grabbed his hand. "Edgar, I need to go to the bathroom. Will you come with me?"
Joyce quickly said, "Edgar is a guest. If you need to go, I'll take you."
"No, Mom. You haven't seen Sophia in a while. You should talk to her. I'll take Edgar."
With that, he pulled Edgar's hand and headed towards the villa.
Sebastian patted Joyce's back and smiled. "Let him go. He got really close to Edgar when he visited the set. He talks about him all the time."
Joyce smiled. "I just hope he doesn't get up to any mischief."
The two walked over to Sophia.
Seeing Joyce's growing belly, Sophia was thrilled.
She placed her hand on Joyce's belly and gently stroked it. "Two is definitely different from one. I haven't seen you in a few days, and your belly is already so big. Let me touch it and get some of your luck. Maybe I'll have twins too."
Joyce smiled warmly at her. "Really? From the way you talk, you and your partner have made up and are planning to have kids?"
"Not at all. Nowadays, there are many ways to have kids. You don't necessarily need a man."
Hearing this, Tyler, who had just walked in, laughed and patted Alexander on the shoulder.
He nodded towards Sophia. "Are you serious? It's been so long, and you still haven't won her over. She'd rather buy sperm than have yours. She must really dislike you."
Alexander kicked him angrily. "Shut up. Don't bring that up. We're doing fine. She's just stubborn but soft-hearted. Didn't you notice we're wearing matching outfits today?"
"I didn't notice the matching outfits, but I can clearly see Sophia's disdain for you."
Sebastian glanced at Tyler and asked in a deep voice, "Didn't Theodore say he was coming with you? Where is he?"
Tyler replied, "He was supposed to, but he got a call from the butler saying Mr. Vale fell down the stairs abroad. It seems pretty serious, so he flew to Snowpeakia."
Sebastian frowned. "Mr. Vale has always been in good health. How did he fall down the stairs?"
"He's blind now. Didn't you know?"
Hearing this, Sebastian's heart tightened. "When did this happen? I've never heard about it."
"I found out when I visited Snowpeakia last time. He's been blind for a while. Apparently, it's a detached retina, and there's no cure. He'll likely spend the rest of his life in darkness."
Hearing this, Sebastian's eyes narrowed slightly.
Having experienced blindness himself, he knew the pain of living in darkness.
But Darren had always had good eyesight and no other illnesses. How could he suddenly have a detached retina?
But he was Joyce's biological father and had watched him grow up.
He should find time to visit him.
The group, having not seen each other for a while, gathered and chatted happily.
Meanwhile, Paxon led Edgar to his room.
He pointed to a large Lego set in the toy area. "Edgar, my dad is always with my mom and doesn't have time to play with me. Can you help me build this car today?"
Edgar smiled and ruffled his hair. "Sure, I don't know anyone here, and the person I want to find is ignoring me. I'd rather play with you for a while."
Paxon blinked his big eyes and asked, "Are you looking for my aunt?"
Edgar was surprised. "How did you know?"
"I can tell. You like Aunt Bianca. You look like you're about to cry when you see her."
Being guessed by a three-year-old, Edgar smiled bitterly.
"Do you think I'm useless, not even able to get the person I like to talk to me?"
Paxon shook his head. "Sophia used to ignore Mr. Cross too, but now they're back together. Trust me, you and Aunt Bianca will make up too."
Edgar smiled and kissed him. "Just for that, I won't eat or drink until we finish building this car today."
"Okay, you start building. I'll go give Lydia her gift and be right back."
"You're quite busy, huh?"
"Of course. Mom's pregnant, so I have to help take care of the guests."
With that, Paxon took a small item from the cabinet, put it in his backpack, and ran out.
He didn't forget to close the door.
Watching the closed door, Paxon had a gleam of pride in his eyes.
"This family would fall apart without me."
He ran downstairs.
Ten minutes later, Paxon was pulling Bianca upstairs.
As they ran, he said, "Aunt Bianca, I wet my pants. Please help me change. Don't let Dad see, or he'll spank me."
Bianca laughed and pinched his cheek. "You know you'll get spanked, so why did you wet your pants?"
"I drank too much soda and couldn't hold it."
Seeing his cute and clever demeanor, Bianca couldn't help but adore him.
She hadn't felt this relaxed in a long time.
With family around, friends to chat with.
And such a cute child to play with, she almost didn't want to go back to being the queen.
They walked hand in hand into Paxon's bedroom.
Paxon pointed to the closet. "Aunt Bianca, my clothes are in the closet. Can you get them for me?"
Bianca walked over to the closet and found a pair of small pants.
Just as she was about to turn around, she saw Edgar sitting among the toys.
