Chapter 611 Her Dad

Kaia's eyes lit up at Theodore's words.

In a soft, innocent voice, she asked, "Theodore, do you like my mom? Do you wanna marry her and be my dad?"

Seeing the excitement in her eyes, Theodore felt a pang of sadness. He gently brushed her cheek.

With a tender voice, he said, "Kaia, I am your real dad, just like Paxon and his dad. We're related by blood."

Kaia took a moment to process this.

Her big eyes blinked at Theodore.

Like Paxon and his dad.

Did that mean Theodore was the dad she had always been looking for?

He was her biological dad, which explained why their noses and mouths looked a bit alike.

Realizing this, Kaia was even more incredulous.

Tears began to fill her eyes.

With a quivering voice, she asked, "Are you really my dad? Then why didn't you know before? I'm already three years old. Why didn't you come to find me and mom earlier?"

Theodore's eyes grew moist at Kaia's questioning.

He hugged her tightly, his large hand gently stroking her head.

In a soft voice, he said, "Kaia, I'm so sorry. It's all my fault. I made you and your mom suffer. From now on, I will take good care of both of you, and we will never be apart again."

Hearing his words, Kaia finally believed it was true.

With tear-filled eyes, she looked at Wilhelmina and choked out, "Mom, is it true? Is he really my dad?"

Seeing the cautious look in her child's eyes, Wilhelmina's heart ached. She gently rubbed Kaia's head, squatting down to look at her.

In a soft voice, she said, "Kaia, I'm sorry. I misunderstood your dad, so I kept it from you. But not anymore. We will never be apart again."

Kaia's tears finally flowed down her cheeks.

Her small, soft hand gently touched Theodore's cheek, her cautious and careful manner making one's heart ache.

Crying, Kaia said, "Dad, you really are my dad. Now I have a dad too. Dad will protect me and mom. We won't be bullied by bad people anymore."

She threw herself into Theodore's arms, unable to express her feelings with words, only with her sobs.

Kaia would now be like other kids, with both a mom and a dad.

With her dad by her side, she wouldn't have to be so careful anymore, fearing he would leave because he didn't like her.

He was her dad, the dad who would be with her as she grew up.

Seeing Kaia cry so sadly, Theodore's eyes reddened with heartache.

He held Kaia and Wilhelmina tightly, his voice choked with emotion, "Sweetheart, don't cry. Dad will never leave you again. I will love you and mom forever."

Kaia cried for a long time before she stopped.

With tear-streaked cheeks, she looked at Theodore, her voice still nasal from crying, "Dad."

Theodore smiled and responded, "Sweetheart, Dad is here."

Kaia then looked at Wilhelmina and called out, "Mom."

Wilhelmina's eyes filled with tears, and she nodded, "Yes, Mom loves you."

Kaia stretched out her small arms, hugging both Theodore and Wilhelmina's necks, showing her white little teeth.

"Now I have both a mom and a dad. I'm so happy."

Theodore laughed and lifted Kaia above his head, watching her innocent smile and the excitement in her eyes. He felt this happiness had come so suddenly, he didn't know what to do.

He wanted to give Kaia everything he owed her all at once.

He wanted to buy her beautiful dresses, take her around the world, and let her taste all kinds of delicious food.

He kept telling Kaia about these plans, while Wilhelmina watched them laugh in the living room. She walked into the kitchen.

She secretly wiped away her tears.

This was a scene she had never dared to imagine, now turned into reality.

She and Theodore were married.

He knew they had a daughter.

From now on, she and Kaia would have someone to rely on.

Thinking of this, Wilhelmina's lips curved into a happy smile, but tears kept flowing from her eyes.

She wanted to cook a few dishes to celebrate their family reunion.

But her hands were shaking too much from excitement.

As she stared at the vegetables on the cutting board, Theodore hugged her from behind.

He gently kissed the back of her neck, his voice hoarse, "Honey, thank you for giving birth to our lovely Kaia under such difficult circumstances. Thank you for raising her all these years.

Kaia is smart and well-behaved. You've done a great job raising her. From now on, I will be with you both, taking care of everything. I won't let you suffer any more."

Listening to his heartfelt confession, hearing him call her 'honey,' Wilhelmina couldn't help but feel moved.

She slowly turned around, tears still rolling in her eyes.

She looked up at Theodore, her lips curving into a happy smile.

"I feel like I'm dreaming, afraid that when I wake up, everything will go back to the way it was."

Theodore gently stroked the corner of her eye, "I have a way to make you know this is all real."

Wilhelmina looked at him skeptically, "What way?"

Theodore slowly leaned down, his nose gently brushing against hers, his voice hoarse, "Remember that night four years ago."

Hearing this, Wilhelmina's cheeks instantly turned hot.

It felt like a weak electric current passed through her heart, spreading a tingling sensation throughout her body.

She couldn't help but flutter her eyelashes, biting her lip as she looked at Theodore.

"Stop it, Kaia is still here."

Seeing her shy expression, just like that night four years ago, Theodore's buried emotions burst forth.

He kissed Wilhelmina's lips and smiled, "So, does that mean we can wait until Kaia falls asleep?"

"Theodore, there's only one bedroom here."

The man bit her lip, "Don't worry, we can use the bathroom."

Faced with his teasing, Wilhelmina felt her whole body go numb.

Her heart was racing.

Her beautiful doe eyes were filled with watery light, looking so pitiful.

Theodore felt a tickle in his heart.

His breath was already a mess, kissing Wilhelmina's lips again and again, his voice hoarse as he coaxed, "Honey, tonight is our wedding night. We can't just do nothing."
