Forgotten Threat
Dylan's POV
“How are things looking right now on all sides?” I asked one of my men who I sent to monitor things on both Williams and Kane's pack. The two young dogs who always take me for granted.
Although I am 38 while they are both 29, they've never accorded me some respect. Always treated me like some old mindless fool. But all is about to change.
“Alpha Kane just succeeded in ambushing some warriors from the Stone Heart Pack and with his recent meeting with the rogue Alpha, I think there might just be another attack,” Dave reported.
“And our little surprise for him? How did he take that?” I asked with a devious smile. Alpha Kane might think he had silenced me for good but he has no idea what I'm cooking up for him. This is the second time I've sent him a message and the next time, it will be war.
“They still have no idea on who sent the message but they've tightened their parameters.”
After a second thought I asked him the most important question that had been on my mind all week. “And Cleopatra?”
“She's still at the Stone Heart Pack,” he replied and my heart pounded in fury. Her place should be with me and not with Williams or Kane.
When he was done filling me in on all I requested for, I dismissed him and retired back to my room. It wasn't long before a soft knock came on the door. I sat up, calling for the person to come in.
“What are you doing here?” I growled.
Lydia's father sold her off to me to clear the debt he owed and ever since then, she has been trying to get on my good side. To get into my bed. But I only have one woman in my heart.
Cleopatra.
When I saw her during the meeting at the Stone Heart Pack, I fought back the urge to approach her, keeping my distance.
I'm working on a plan and when I'm done, she will be all mine.
“I noticed you've been on edge lately, so I decided to come and make you feel good,” she drawled seductively.
“Get out!” I ordered but she kept coming in, slowly, peeling off her bathrobe while she made her way further in. She then stood before me. Naked.
My eyes raked over her body hungrily. I couldn't deny that she has an attractive body. But nothing compared to my sweet Cleopatra. She took advantage of my silence and leaned forward, pushing me onto the bed and straddling me with both legs.
I tried to push her off, reluctantly of course but she bent down and kissed my neck. I drew in a breath sharply at the touch of her lips on my neck.
I can't do this to Cleopatra but I have to admit that it feels good to have a soft body on top of mine in this manner. I've been celibate since I set my eyes on Cleopatra at that first meeting and I plan on keeping it that way..
Merely looking at a woman lustfully feels wrong. It has to be Cleopatra, she should be my Luna! And I can't wait for the day I'll pry her off Kane's and Williams’ clutches.
I groaned softly as she deepened the kiss on my neck, her fangs gently biting a spot. “Lydia, get off me,” I managed to say in a voice laced with lust but she saw right through me.
She worked her way down, unbuttoning my shirts and pants. She held my erected dick like a trophy in her hands and without warning, took it whole into her mouth. I couldn't stop the tingles of pleasure that exploded inside me.
My mind was a swirl of conflicting thoughts as Lydia worked her magic on my throbbing dick. A battle waged within me. One part of me wanted to shove her off, but the other part, the part that had been denied for so long, wanted to give in so badly, even if it was just for a moment.
I clenched my fists, fighting the urge to moan as Lydia buried my dick into her warmth. But as the tension in my body was building while she rode me with a speed I've never known before, a loud knock shattered the moment.
“Alpha Dylan! Urgent news!”
The voice of one of my men outside the door broke through the haze. Lydia froze, clearly irritated at the interruption. I took the opportunity to push her off me with a force as she still tried to continue what she was doing.
“What is it?” I barked, sitting up and quickly adjusting my clothes. Lydia scowled, hastily grabbing her robe and wrapping it around herself, sulking at the missed opportunity.
I can't believe I got her instead of my money!
The door creaked open, and Dave rushed in, his face flushed as his eyes landed on Lydia. “We've received word about Cleopatra,” he said, his voice low and rushed.
At the mention of her name, my ears perked up. “Leave us,” I growled at Lydia and she left grudgingly.
“Continue.”
“We believe she has been poisoned. She hasn't woken up yet,” he replied.
“What do you mean by that?” I demanded.
“That's all we know for now, Alpha. The security there is unlike any other right now, our men barely managed to slip out undetected due to the distraction.”
“What distraction?”
“Well, our spy said some men came to treat Cleopatra and one of them is her mate. Williams hasn't returned since he went to his hotel in the city since he heard that.”
“Oh, now he knows how I feel huh? Wait, a mate? Does Kane know about this?” I asked excitedly. This will definitely turn his entire plan upside down, and that would piss him off.
“Yes and he's headed to the Stone Heart Pack right now.”
“The universe is on my side for once! I can't wait to watch them all break down, fighting each other and when they are done crippling themselves, I'll strike,” I growled in a low icy tone.
“What's the next move, Alpha?” Dave asked, his fists clenched.
Before I made any moves, there was another card I needed to play. I stepped closer to Dave, my voice lowering into a dangerous whisper.
“Go and get me Marcus. Tell him it's time we have that conversation he's been dying for.”
