“What have I done?!”

Cleopatra’s POV

A cold, calculating plan to infiltrate the pack and cause chaos. And Alpha Williams had seen right through it.

Why didn’t Beta Jack tell me about this invasion when I called earlier? This can’t end well. It never does. Does Alpha Kane think they can just attack Alpha Williams without proper planning?

The warriors of the Stone Heart Pack are matchless. Strong to the core. I’ve seen them train. It would take a similar opponent to defeat them. We are not just ready yet.

They alerted the guards keeping watch outside about the invasion. Renee already readied her bow, letting it hang loosely on her shoulder. A group of other warriors moved swiftly, their bodies tense and ready for battle.

The air crackled with anticipation, the silence heavy with a promise of violence. Alpha Williams was barking out orders, his face firm and furious.

His gaze darted to my direction and it softened slightly. “Why are you here, Cleopatra?” he demanded, making his way towards me.

“I want to fight,” I declared and stood firm.
The look he gave me made me think I was crazy or I had something funny on me.

“You are going back to your room and you are not coming out until I come looking for you,” he stated and I shook my head.

“No! I’m fighting right beside you. I might have had…my moments but I’m not weak, Alpha Willaims.”

A wave of nausea washed over me but I pushed it aside. I needed to focus. To stay conscious, so that when I fight side by side with Alpha Willaims, I would gain his trust completely.

As he was still trying to talk me out of it, a loud blood-curdling scream came from inside the pack house. Alpha Willaims exchanged glances with Renee and the other pack warriors.

Some stayed back while others rushed inside. Are they inside already? It only meant one thing.

They came in through the tunnels. So who let them in? I know Alpha Willaims would have the same thought as he glanced around furiously.

A fight already broke out.

The roar of battle filled the air as the invaders stormed the pack house. How does Alpha Kane convince the leader of the rogues to release his men all the time? Is he really clueless?

Bodies collided and claws clashed, the scent of blood and the screams of the pack members thickened.

Just then, I felt like I was being pushed from within. I tried fighting back but the pull was stronger. My eyes now held a feral glint and I shook my head to control myself. I can’t go brutal on the rogues. After all, they were sent by my Alpha.

I steadied my breath, trying to do so little but make it look like I’m helping out. I chased down a rogue and punched it lightly. But I couldn’t shake off the war raging inside me.

One rogue lunged at me and slashed my arm. I winced at the impact, anger rising inside of me. That was the push I needed to fall into the darkness within.

It felt like there was a darkness within me that was awakening, inching to be unleashed and I couldn’t hold back any longer.

Willaims’ POV

I sensed the change in her eyes and rushed towards her, gripping her arm tighter. My eyes were filled with concern as I spoke to her. “Cleopatra I told you to leave!” I screamed into her ears.

She looked unstable. I can’t focus on this battle and still watch over her.

I felt her body tense as if something from within was consuming her. No-no not now. This is not the right time for those episodes she usually has. I moved to hold her and keep her in a safe place until the fight was over but I froze when I saw her eyes.

They’ve turned an unnatural shade of green, similar to the one she had when she lunged at Eugene. With an ear splitting scream, she broke free from my grasp, her movements swift and lethal.

She became a whirlwind of destruction, her claws and teeth tearing through the invaders in a brutal way. She’s changed. Could it be that the silver wolf has taken control? What triggered it?

I watched her move while trying to fight off the invaders on my path. Every kill, every strike, was calculated. Just how lethal is her silver wolf?

I could see the rogues retreating, their eyes wide with terror but she pushed on like a wounded lion. Cutting down and tearing anyone of them she could find.

Her hands and body were soaked with blood but she looked insatiable. She looked like a predator and the pack house was her hunting ground.

Should I let her run wild? I mean she is helping us greatly to defeat the invaders, although I know she’s not aware of what she’s doing.

One rogue tried to escape and she lunged at him, her claws extended. She sank her teeth into the rogue’s flesh and pulled back with a chunk of flesh. She looked like a primal predator with the flesh hanging loosely in her mouth.

I was beginning to get worried. The rogues were defeated and her eyes were still hungry. Her eyes locked onto one of my warriors and she charged at him.

I growled loudly and lunged at her, restraining her. My arms were wrapped tightly around her, holding her down. She struggled against my hold but I held her tighter. She bit down on my arm and I winced at the impact but didn’t move.

Gradually, the world around her began to clear as her breathing became more steady. I could feel the darkness receding, her once unnatural eyes replaced by the striking beautiful blue ones that are so captivating.

I felt her eyes widen as the realization of her actions hit her. Her powers were getting out of control and if the awakening doesn’t happen in the right way, she could be dangerously uncontrollable.

There were bodies scattered around the pack house. She looked down on her hands and seeing the blood, she threw up.

I held her and stroked her hair as my warriors stood in shock. She collapsed into my arms and I could hear her heart pounding loudly against mine.

“What have I done?” She whispered, her voice barely audible.
