New Phase 9

“Good day, grandpa, and grandma. Welcome back. Where is my piano?”
He shouted as he ran into the house and met his grandparents beneath the staircase. They were coming down to the sitting room when they heard their voices. Now, Mr. Arthur Bailey who was the first to get to Daniel lifted him up for a hug and responded.
“Thank you, Daniel. How are you?”
“I am fine, grandpa.”
His grandfather put him down, and he walked to his grandmother, and she bent down and gave him a hug.
“Good to see you, Daniel. How are you?”
“I am fine, grandma.”
They walked to the sitting room and took their seats while Daniel tried to turn on the television. Then, Mr. Denise and his wife walked in, followed by Mr. Phil Anderson and his wife.
“Wow! Good to have you back, mom and father.”
“Welcome back, mom and father. I hope you had a smooth ride?”
They greeted one after the other with hugs.
“Nice to see you all. Our trip was fair. Please take your seats.”
Now, Phil and Olivia took their seats while Denise and Freya began to walk towards the staircase, hoping that Louis was in his room and called out.
“Last born, where are you?”
“He has gone.”
Denise and Freya turned and faced their mom, who just spoke and asked.
“When?”
“How come?”
“He said he had a meeting with some clients who flew in this afternoon.”
“Oh. The property clients. That’s good.”
Exclaimed Freya, who must always cover Louis’s back, while Denise felt otherwise but kept it to himself. Now, Mrs. Nichole Bailey took Daniel to the kitchen to get the packs of chocolate that she bought for them. Mr. Phil Anderson ceased the opportunity to whisper to his father-in-law.
“Welcome back from the Cairo trip you arranged by yourself and not the one we did.”
Mr. Arthur Bailey looked at him before he looked at Olivia to ensure that her attention was not on them and would not hear their discussion.
“We did?”
He asked as he looked at Phil who had a self-satisfied smile on his face and continued.
“Were you aware that she was at Cairo when you booked for a flight for me?”
Phil smirked in accomplishment, while Mr. Arthur Bailey glared at him.
“I hope you had a nice time in Cairo?”
Denise asked as he sat beside his wife. Then, Mr. Arthur Bailey and Phil dropped their discussion and responded to Denise’s question.
“Yes, Denise, and I were able to close some business deals.”
Olivia, who had her attention on the television, had to focus on her father-in-law as he responded to Denise’s question. Then, Mr. Arthur Bailey teased as he looked at Olivia.
“Angel, I know you have many questions to ask me.”
The family burst into raucous of laughter which attracted Mrs. Nichole and Freya who were coming out of the kitchen with the packs of chocolate. They chuckled and asked.
“What happened?”
Nichole asked as she sat beside her husband after dropping the pack of chocolate on the center table.
“Angel is waiting for her husband to help her ask of her car.”
Mr. Arthur Bailey explained. This time, everyone laughed heartily as they began to pick the chocolates one after the other. Then, Freya defended Angel.
“Yes. That is why she is an Angel. I will ask on her behalf then. Father, where is Angel’s car?”
“Her car will arrive in a couple of days.”
He hinted. Now, if Olivia could not talk, at least she could jubilate. She jumped up from her seat and walked to her parents’ in-law.
“Thank you father. Thank you, mom. I appreciate.”
“You are welcome, Angel. Nothing is too much to give to an Angel.”
Mrs. Nichole Bailey pointed out. Then, Denise chipped in.
“You are right, mom. Nothing is enough. Thank you, father.”
“You are welcome, Denise.”
They chatted while they had their chocolates. Without much ado, the janitor announced.
“Lunch is ready.”
“Thank, you.”
Nichole said and looked at her husband who was busy with his phone. Then he announced.
“Come and see the picture of your car, Angel.”
The family rushed to their father hastily and formed a small crowd around him. Phil, who was closer to him, scooted over to look at the phone. They saw a white Cadillac XT5, which was one of the trending female cars in Kent.
“Wow! Beautiful. Thank you, father.”
Olivia said.
“Thank you father. Her car is more beautiful than mine.”
Mr. Denise Bailey teased. Mr. Phil Anderson responded.
“You don’t need a beautiful car. You need a car like the bucket of bolts.”
They laughed the more, and Mr. Arthur Bailey asked.
“Yes. That reminds me, I hope you were not embarrassed by other motorists when you were returning from the airport?”
Denise and Phil laughed like a drain, which astounded their father, who was looking at them for a response.
“No father, rather we embarrassed other road users, especially the aged.”
Mr. Phil informed.
“What do you mean?”
Mr. Arthur Bailey asked.
“They thought that there were ammunition, and we may pull the trigger at any moment.”
He chuckled and said.
“That was a good one.”
Now, Daniel was no longer interested in their discussion, so he whispered to the grandmother.
“Grandma. What about my piano?”
“Oh! Daniel. Your piano is in the store. Freya, please go and show him his piano.”
Now, Freya began to walk to the store and Daniel followed suit. She showed him the Ultimate Space Saving Piano – Yamaha Arius YDP-144, which was still in the carton with the picture of the piano on it.
“Daniel, look at the picture of your piano.”
“Wow!”
“Do you like it?”
“Yes, mom. I like it. It is beautiful.”
“Congratulations. Let’s go. We will carry it when we are leaving and daddy will assemble it for you at home.”
“All right, mom.”
They walked back to the sitting room and saw the family at the dining table and joined them.
“Do you like your piano, Daniel?”
“Yes, grandpa. Thank you.”
“It is all right. I know it would help you on your page.”
The grandfather encouraged. Then Nichole asked.
“Yes. Who is behind that page? That was very brilliant.”
Now, Mr. Arthur Bailey and his wife did not need a verbal response. The direction of their eyes gave them out. Mrs. Nichole Bailey, who was excited, screamed.
“Angel?”
Olivia looked up from her meal and answered.
“Yes, mom. It is me. I intend to organize a concert for children, and he would be the host.”
The wowed parent’s in-law fixed their gazes at her while she spoke.
“That is very thoughtful of you.”
Nichole said. Mr. Arthur Bailey, who had not comprehended the information, hesitated before saying anything. Now, everyone’s attention was on him and waiting for his opinion. He focused on his food as well as every other person. Then, he dropped his cutlery and asked.
“Angel.”
The startled Olivia, who was thinking he would not like the idea of a concert for his grandson, looked at him in trepidation and answered.
“Yes, father.”
“What course did you study in the University?”
“I read Information and Communications Technology.”
“Oh! I see where the program is coming from. Thank you very much for being very thoughtful. If you need any assistance, do not hesitate to let us know.”
“You are welcome, father. I will do as you have said.”
Now, Denise, who was highly elated over the accolade poured on his wife and because his wife was the first lady boss in the Bailey’s family, teased his father.
“Thank you father. She needs another car right away as an assistance.”
They laughed happily at his joke, and Nichole teased further.
“You are indeed her mouthpiece.”
Next, they had their meal joyously, took selfies and dispersed afterwards. Nichole got upstairs to prepare for the next day’s work while her husband, who was sitting on the reading desk, pondered on the disturbing discussion he had with Dr. Quain a few days ago. He looked at Nichole, who was ignorant of Louis’s intention, and shook his head.
‘I wonder how she would feel if she finds out what her son is trying to do?’
He considered.
‘I will discuss with Dr. Quain and find out the way forward.’
He concluded. Then he muttered.
“Louis, remember you promised that you would not let me down.”
Now, Nichole, was through with her preparation, and they retired to bed.

At Sevenoaks

Mr. Louis Bailey got to his house one hour after he left the Native Home and parked at his car port.
“Welcome back, boss.”
His domestic staff members greeted while he was still in his car. He gave him a cursory response and concentrated on his phone. When he scrolled to the family platform, he was excited with the pictures of his family members. He saw the picture of Daniel and Denise as they posed cheerfully.
“Wow! Daniel must have forgotten that I am his uncle. It had been long I saw him.”
He said to himself. He admired other pictures, but had a mixed feeling when he saw Olivia posing with his parents. Furthermore, he quickly fought back the moist in his eyes and muttered.
“By the coming week, I will forget everything that had to do with Olivia and live as though she never existed.”

He assured himself and flipped through the other pictures with the joy that things would return to normalcy after the memory erasure surgery. Then he made his comment.

(Nice, pictures. I love you all.)

However, that assurance would keep him going until Dr. Quain and his father would come to a consensus on how to help him. He got off his car and walked into his house happily.

At the Bailey International Conglomerates

Mr. Louis Bailey got to work the next day with a great hope for the week, and Eric noticed it. Incidentally, his boss’s joy had a way of infecting him, and he welcomed him cheerfully.
