Rescued 7

Mr. Stephen Bailey was aware of what the elders meant by alleviating Arthur because he had experienced little of what his children could do from Denise and Freya. Besides, he could not explain how he escaped from the hands of the wolves. Now, he conceded defeat.
“I will pay the compensation.”
“That is good.”
The house said. They believed that it was Mr. Arthur Bailey who filed the petition and felt he must have done it out of belligerence caused by Stephen’s repugnant comments.
However, when Mr. Stephen Bailey was attempting to say that ‘I did not insult him before his children’, and the elders interrupted and cut him to the quick, he was right? He did not make the derogatory comments before Arthur and his children, rather it was a harmless discussion that he had with Denise as a man that was in love with his mother. Now, all odds were against him based on his antecedents.

At the Government Hospital
Mrs. Zoey Bailey got to the Superior’s Office with anxiety which frightened Dr. Caesar considering that she was just recovering from an attack.
“What brings you, Zoey?”
He asked anxiously. Zoey, who was breathing heavily, could only summarize her complaint with a sentence.
“She attacked, I pushed her away to defend myself, and she slumped.”
Dr. Marcus Caesar, who was about settling down for the day’s job, was as confused as a chameleon. He gave her a perplexed look while she stood in front of his desk waiting for his response. Then he managed to ask.
“Who is ‘she’?”
Then, it occurred to Zoey that the Superior was not aware of the incident before she gave a detailed explanation of the incident. Dr. Caesar gave her a cursory response as though nothing happened while he concentrated on his work.
“Go back to your office and continue with your work.”
When Mrs. Nichole Bailey Addressed Lorene Walker and Evelyn Whyte as hawks and poachers, she had her reasons. They have attempted ceaselessly to poach the superior away from his wife, but failed. When he dismissed Zoey and concentrated on his work, he felt that Lorene deserved what she got. She returned to Nichole’s office and met a tidy office as though nothing happened.
“Thank you.”
She appreciated the janitor, and they continued with their work, not worried about the incident.
At Cairo – Egypt.
Family affairs had given Mr. Arthur Bailey concern because he was finding it difficult to have his honeymoon to the fullest. He could ignore the notices of meetings from the Patriarch, but he could not control the lovey-dovey between Nichole and Louis, as though Louis were a toddler who could crawl into danger if left alone.
“Let Louis be. He is no longer a baby. He will be fine by himself.”
He warned after Nichole got off call with him. She smiled and responded.
“He is still my baby until he gets a wife.”
Arthur smiled and teased.
“I will warn him to leave my wife alone and get his.”
They laughed hysterically and decided to take a stroll around the city. They visited many beautiful places and discovered many new things. Meanwhile, Mr. Arthur Bailey was able to close many business deals. Afterwards, they returned to the hotel room.
At Sevenoaks
Mr. Louis Bailey got to work that morning and settled down. He worked briefly and decided to pay the doctor a visit to discuss his decision. He picked his phone and walked to the Secretary’s office, then announced.
“Cassandra, I am going to the clinic. I will be back soon.”
“All right boss.”
Cassandra replied, avoiding eyes contact with him. Louis looked at her again and wondered why she did that. He ignored her and walked out. Then, his phone rang, and he checked the caller before picking. When he noticed that it was Barr. Guidance who called, he turned and walked back to his office, sat comfortably on the couch before picking his call.
“Hello, Barrister. How may I help you?”
“Hello, Mr. Bailey. I am out of the family meeting.”
“Oh! That is good. How did it go?”
“Well, it went well. I gave him up to 9 am tomorrow morning to comply by paying the compensation.”“That is good. I am excited to hear that.”
“Yes. We will talk more tomorrow.”
“It is all right. Good job.”
“Thank you.”

Mr. Louis Bailey smiled broadly and remarked.
“Whether he is the black sheep of the family or whatever, he should know that even water has its limits.”
Then, he stood up and headed for his car to continue with his trip to clinic. Then, he got into his car and turned on the ignition, and his phone rang again. He discovered that it was Mr. Rex Edmonton, the client who bought two hundred hectares of land from him the previous week. He smiled and turned off his ignition before he picked the call.
“Hello, Mr. Edmonton. I am glad to hear from you.”
“Good day, Mr. Bailey. It is a pleasure hearing from you.”
“Good. How may I help you, Mr. Edmonton?”
“I promised I was going to mention you to my friends.”
“Yes, you did.”
“Good, if you are not too busy right now, one of my friends would love to speak with you.”
“Wow! That would be interesting. Let me call you back in the next five minutes.”
“It is all right.”
He got off his car and walked briskly back to his office while he glared at Cassandra, who looked disturbed. By his time, it was five minutes after he spoke with Edmonton, so, he called him back and spoke with his friend who indicated interest in buying two hundred and thirty hectares of land. Mr. Louis Bailey was elated as they concluded the business deal.
“When do I hope to have you in Kent?”
“I will be in Kent two weeks from today.”
“It is all right. I will be glad to have you. Bye.”
When he got off the call, he ran his right hand on his head and breathed heavily.
“Two weeks from today? Maybe I should postpone seeing the doctor until after two weeks.”
He concluded and continued with his work. Then, he got a call from his sister Julie and picked with enthusiasm.
“Big sister. What a surprise. How are you?”
“I’m good, last born. How are you?”
“I’m fine. How is my in-law and niece?”
“They are fine. My husband asked me to find out about the property exhibition you attended in Egypt. Have you started the property business?”
“Yes. Any problem?”
“Not really. But he wishes to partner with you. Some of his colleagues are interested in owning properties in England, so he would be coming over with them.”
“Wow! That is good. When do I expect them?”
“He will get in touch with you. I will let him know that you have started.”
“That is good. I will be waiting.”
“All right. Take care of yourself, Bye.”
“I will. Bye.”
After he got off the call, he smiled dryly and stared blankly for a few minutes before he muttered.
“I will persuade him to come within two weeks like Mr. Rex Edmonton and his friends so that I will see the doctor at once.”
He concluded as he continued with his work, not forgetting the Cassandra Owen’s behavior which he considered. He paused and meditated for a while and remembered the question that the doctor asked him the previous week.
(How can you be fine when you have embarrassed yourself before your staff?)
“Could that be the reason for her nasty behavior?”
He may not be able to resolve other issues in his life, but Cassandra Owen would not add to his problem. Then, he called the Personnel Manager at once. He picked and greeted.
“Good day, boss. How may I help you?”
“Good day. Transfer Eric to my office and send Cassandra Owen to take over from Eric with immediate effect.”
“It is noted, boss.”

At Mr. Stephen Bailey’s Apartment
After the meeting with the Patriarch and the family heads, he boarded a taxi to Lorene’s house which was at the Barrack’s Road. To his chagrin, she was not at home. He looked at the time, it was 1:30 pm.
“Where could she be? I know that she is on AM Shift.”
Now, he rested his head on her door for a few seconds before he gave her a call again, but as usual, she did not pick. With a heavy heart, he left for his house. Then, he sent a message to the barrister requesting that he would make the cheque for the compensation available.
“You are free. I will be in my office by 3 pm.”
“All right. See you.”
At 2:30 pm, he boarded a taxi to Barrister Guidance’s office, who received him cheerfully.
“Good day, Barrister.”
“Welcome to my office, Mr. Bailey. Please take your seat.”
