The Epiphany 10
Afterwards, they had their breakfast, got dressed and left for the Tourist Center. Now, after they posted the notice of the upcoming event which had no date and venue, the followers began to ask.
(When is the event coming up?)
(Will it be physical or virtual?)
(What is the cost of the ticket?)
Now, because the couple were busy giving each other a weekend treat, they could not log in to the page to read or reply to the followers’ questions. Mr. Nicholas Fields, who had been following the post, was patiently waiting for their response too. When they were not forthcoming, he gave them a call and Mr. Denise Bailey, who was sitting on the passenger’s side while Olivia was driving, picked at once.
“Good morning, Godfather. It is a pleasure hearing from you.”
“Good morning, Denise. You did not report for a walkout today.”
Now, Olivia, who knew why he missed his walkout, laughed aloud and Mr. Denise Bailey chuckled before he responded.
“Yes, Godfather. We are on our way to the Island for recording. I am sorry that I did not inform you.”
“It is all right. How is your wife?”
“She is driving.”
“What! Your car is not good for a pregnant woman.”
“You are right. She is driving her car. Cadillac XT5.”
“Wow! That is beautiful. You are indeed a good husband for getting her such an expensive car.”
“Nope. I didn’t get it for her. Her father-in-law did.”
“Oh! That is a wonderful gift. Congratulation. When she parks, she should log on to the page and reply to the followers' questions. I suggest that you start selling the tickets now at lower rate and increase the price after every three weeks and let's see how it goes.”
“All right, thank you, Godfather. We will come over after the recording for more talks. Will you be available then?”
“Certainly. I am at home.”
“Thank you godfather.”
Now, Olivia was at the gate of the Tourist Center and the security guards refused to open the gate for her rather. Then, one of them walked up to her and attempted to ask her to open her trunk for a search. Then, she rolled down the glass of her window. Subsequently, he sighted Mr. Denise Bailey on the passenger’s seat and shuddered.
“Good morning, boss. Good morning madam.”
Without waiting for their response, he walked back to the gate and removed the iron bar, and Olivia drove in.
“It is the boss and his wife.”
The security guard informed the Chief of the Security, who walked out of his office to meet them at the car park. Then, he greeted.
“Good morning, boss. Good morning madam.”
Now, Mr. Denise Bailey and his wife were out of the car before thy responded to the Chief of the Security’s greetings. He walked with them to the Cinema Hall, where he met Jude Addy and his colleague. They greeted one after the other and he instructed.
“Get the stage ready. We will be recording immediately.”
“All right, boss.”
He walked to one of the rows to join his wife, who was already seated to update her page. Now, Jude Addy and his colleagues were confused because they could not think of the recording he was referring to, and they were not bold enough to ask questions. So, they whispered among themselves.
“What recording is he talking about, please?”
Michael asked. Then, Bright responded.
“It may be the recording for Daniel De Pianist.”
Now, Jude, who was familiar with Daniel, pointed out.
“I don’t think so. Daniel is not here.”
While they were wallowing in their confusion, Mr. Denise Bailey and his wife were engrossed in updating the page with more posts on the upcoming event. After Olivia edited another E-poster of the event and posted, her husband chuckled and agreed with her.
“I love the way you ignored their questions and updated with another post void of their request.”
Now, Olivia looked up from her device and gave him a smile before she asked.
“Why do you love it?”
“It will leave them in suspense, which would lead to curiosity. Whenever you give the update with the main details, they will joyously patronize us immediately.”
“You are right, Hubby. I updated to let them know that we are aware of their questions. We will not do much until we meet Mr. Nicholas.”
“That is correct.”
Now, he looked at the stage and discovered that nothing had been done on the stage, neither was any of the staff there.
“Why hasn’t the stage be set?”
He yelled. Now, the staff who had experienced his anger in the past became startled and kept mute. Then, they walked briskly to the stage and began to work even though they did not know what to do, but Jude Addy, who had not seen the other side of him, was calm and tried to offer an explanation.
“Boss, we don’t ….”
“You don’t…what And why are you still standing there and arguing with me?”
At this point, Jude Addy looked around and discovered that his colleagues had fled to the stage. Then, he joined them, believing that they had gotten a wind of what to do.
But to his consternation, he could not figure out what they were doing. They were backing the stage and picking and dropping any instrument they could lay their hands on just to create the impression that they were busy. Then, in his bewilderment, he saw Daniel walking into the Cinema Hall with his parents. He smiled and began to set the stage at once. Before his colleague could turn, he had set Daniel’s seat and table, walked to the switch and turn on the stage light, just as they did the last time that Mr. Nicholas Fields was around. In addition to the table and chair, he moved the crested glass lectern, which displayed the logo and the name of the Tourist Center conspicuously. Then, Mr. Denise Bailey and his wife, who had been watching him, exclaimed.
“Wow! Good job, Jude.”
Mr. Denise Bailey, who had forgotten that he was angry with him, commended.
“Thank you, boss.”
“What is the concept, Jude?”
