The Epiphany 12

He got to the pantry, brought two bottles of wine, alcoholic and non-alcoholic, and arrange them on the dining table. When he had set the table, he invited her over.
“The table is set, my dear.”
“All, right.”
He held her hand and walked her to the dining table, and they sat opposite each other.
“We have alcoholic and non-alcoholic wine, which is your brand?”
“Both are my brand. I will go for non-alcoholic now.”
“It is all right.”
However, he popped the bottle of the non-alcoholic and poured some into her glass cups and afterwards, he poured some for himself and took the toast.
“What is your relationship goal?”
She looked into his eyes and said.
“To live up to the love I promised my partner.”
“Wow! That is a serious one. So, let us toast to a fulfilling love.”
They lifted their glasses, clink them together and repeated their vows. Now, they sip the wine and Mr. Henry Taylor dropped his glass. Then, he opened a small box that he brought out of his pocked, picked the content, bent on one of his knees and requested.
“Harriet, the woman who captured my love the very day I set my eyes on her, please, be my wife.”
Now, the bewildered Miss Harriet David, who was hoping that they would need some time to study each other before the proposal, spoke with an emotional voice.
“Henry, the man that I will always love, cherish and protect, I will be your wife.”
Subsequently, he slipped the engagement ring into her middle finger on her left hand, and she helped him to get up. Now, they engaged in a passionate kiss which lasted longer than the previous ones. Afterwards, he laughed softly and said.
“Thank you, Harriet, for being the sun that would brighten my path.”
Now, Miss Harriet David, who had found her bearings, spoke.
“Oh! Someone had taken over my career, and he is now the poet.”
They laughed happily and prepared lunch together. After they had their lunch, Mr. Henry Taylor declared.
“We are visiting the family house to meet mom and dad.”
Miss Harriet David became edgy at once, and he teased.
“Are you nervous?”
“Not really.”
Now, Mr. Henry Taylor laughed heartily, and Harriet asked.
“What is funny?”
He laughed again and replied.
“I will let you know before the end of the day.”
She chuckled and afterwards, they drove to the family compound to meet Sir and Lady Taylor, who were surprised to see their son with a cheerful lady who looked like a spirit being who just escaped from heaven.
At Mr. Nicholas Fields House
After the horseback ride, the family had their lunch before they moved to Mr. Fields house as promised. He took Mr. Denise Bailey and Mr. Phil Anderson to his rooftop lounge, while his wife and the rest remained in the parlor. Then, he went through their clips and was very pleased with them.
“You have gotten all the clips you needed for the publications, be it jingle, trailer, news, and name it.”
“Thank you Godfather. You mentioned the tickets, what do we do?”
“Yes. Publish the cost of the ticket. You will start with different prices for different class of people ranging from the Regular, VIPs and VVIPs. Start with a price that will appeal to your targeted audience. The price of each category will increase after three weeks.”
“That is a good one.”
Denise declared. Then, Phil suggested.
“To avoid a rush at the Center, let the VVIPs cost include the cost of a suite and the VIP include the cost of a room, so that when they buy the ticket, a reservation would be made for them immediately, and they will see it as a consolation.”
“You are right, Phil. That would keep guests who will not be part of the event away from the Center for that period.”
Mr. Fields pointed out. Then, Denise chipped in.
“And they won’t be offended.”
At last, they discussed how they would to do the selection of the participants and the cost of registration, and they concluded on a good note. Afterwards, they set out to join their wives at the parlor when Mr. Fields's phone rang. He looked at the caller and expressed fear. He could not imagine why Sir Taylor would give him a call, and his mind wandered over many things. The two young men with him, who were aware that Mr. Henry Taylor cancelled his marriage recently, were puzzled too, but they looked on. He looked at them and asked.
“Why is Sir Taylor calling me?”
Then, he picked and greeted cheerfully and waited for whatever he had to say.
“Hello, Sir Taylor. It is my pleasure to hear from you.”
“Thank you, Nicholas. I wish to appreciate you for being Henry’s Godfather. I did not make a mistake by appointing you to be his Godfather.”
Now, that they have discovered that there was no cause for alarm, and they were relieved. They smiled broadly, and, Mr. Fields continued.
“I am delighted to be his Godfather, and I am glad to know that I did not fail you. How is he?”
“He is fine. He just left the house with an Angel, who he introduced as his fiancée.”
Now, Mr. Fields who was even happier than Sir Taylor ran his hand over his head and said.
“That is good news. I am happy that he had made you proud.”
“Yes, I am proud of my last born. See you later.”
“Goodbye, Sir Taylor.”
Now, after the call ended, Mr. Phil Anderson looked at Denise and teased.
“I hope he was not talking of your Angel.”
“Impossible.”
Mr. Denise Bailey refuted at once. They laughed softly and Phil inquired.
“Godfather, you did not tell us why he cancelled his wedding, and now he is engaging another lady.”
Mr. Nicholas Fields inhaled and exhaled freely, looked at his two Godsons who were symbols of his accomplishment as a mentor, and began.
