The Sealed Forgiveness 3

Now, Miss Cassandra Owen looked down and began to stare at her hangs that she placed on her laps. Then, Mr. Louis Bailey proceeded when she failed to answer his question.
“I believe that my instinct is right. But if you are shy to respond, you can send a message to me. Is that OK by you?”
She nodded her head shyly in affirmative.
“When do I expect the response?”
“This evening.”
She responded without looking at his face.
“It is all right. You can leave.”
“Thank you, boss.”
She mumbled and left quickly. Afterwards, Mr. Louis Bailey deeply inhaled and exhaled. Then he murmured.
“Can anyone replace Olivia?”
He nodded his head in disapproval and answered his question.
“Never.”
Now, his eyes became moist, but he fought back the tears as he remembered his brother's words that morning.
(I have told you over and over again. My wife has forgiven you. You are only being hard on yourself.)
He cheered up and consoled himself.
“At least, with her around, I can visit Lady Olivia and see the twins that would have been my twins.”
At the Government Hospital
“What is the cause of this grid lock?”
Mrs. Nichole Bailey asked aloud when she drove out of the Native Home and joined the main road. She queued up alongside the other motorists. Although, she had been at home, she had been on the movie channel before she left for work. After much delay, she was in the office. She saw some children of the Great Woods Academy with their school uniforms and wondered why.
“Rachael, how are you?”
“I am fine, Mrs. Bailey. Good to see you.”
“Good to see you, too. What happened? I saw many children with their school uniforms in the hospital. Are they on excursions?”
The janitor giggled and responded.
“Excursions? The task force sealed up their school.”
“Why?”
“There are different reasons on the net. I can't say which is right?”
“You are right. Let me find out.”
“I will be on my way, Mrs. Bailey.”
“It is all right. I will see you later.”
Now, she brought out her phone from her purse and turned it on. Afterwards, she tried to log in to the internet when many messages popped up. Then she began to go through them and got to Mrs. Elsie Wood's message.
“Mrs. Wood sent a message to me yesterday. What for?”
Then, she punched on the message and began to read.
(Nichole dear. Please come to my aid. My staff goofed, and your grandchild began to throw up. I suspected that it was food poison. Kindly plead with your husband to tamper justice with mercy. I promise that it would not repeat itself. Thank you. Elsie.)
Now, Mrs. Nichole Bailey could not control her continence. She quickly walked to the convenience and emptied her bladder.
“What have I done to myself? Arthur will never forgive me.”
She mumbled as she walked back to her office. She picked her phone to make calls, but she had many people to call ranging from her husband, her son, daughter-in-law and above all, Mrs. Wood whose school had been sealed.
“Oh! My God.”
She exclaimed. Then, she picked her purse, walked out of her office to go home. When she banged the door, she yelled.
“Where is the door key?”
She pushed the door open again and walked into her office and began to ransack the table.
“What are you looking for, Mrs. Bailey?”
The janitor, who saw her walking out and back to her office, queried.
“The door key. I can't find it.”
“Calm down, Mrs. Bailey. The door key is right in the keyhole. Look at it.”
Mrs. Nichole Bailey looked at the key before she looked at the janitor. Now, she knew she had to calm down. She could not imagine hitting the road in that condition.
“Thank you, Rachael. You are always helpful.”
She appreciated as she took her seat.
“You are welcome, Mrs. Bailey. I suggest that you rest before you resume your work.”
“I will.”
“I will be on my way.”
“It is all right.”
She rested her head on the chair and could not think of why neither Lady Olivia nor Denise gave her a call.
“Are they cross with me?”
Now, she picked her phone and gave her husband a call and muttered.
“Will he pick my call?”
She looked at the time, and it was a few minutes to 2 PM.
“He must have gone home. No. Yesterday, he got back by 5 Pm. He stayed back to avoid me.”
She gave him a call all the same and waited patiently.
At Bailey International Conglomerates
After Great Woods Academy was sealed up, Mr. Arthur Bailey was satisfied.
“At least, this will serve as a deterrent to other school owners who would make parents to pay exorbitant school fees and employ quacks that they would pay peanuts as salary.”
He mumbled. Meanwhile, Sir Denise Bailey walked in and met his father, battling with incessant calls from the authorities that he reported Mrs. Elsie Wood to. They were calling to inform him that they had acted accordingly. When he was through, Denise greeted.
“Good day, father.”
“Good day, Denise. How are you?”
“I’m fine, father. And you? You look exhausted.”
“Really? I will take a break. I am glad that it is a weekend.”
“Yes. I plan to close early today. I wish to take my family to the island for the weekend.”
“You are in order. They need it.”
“Thank you, father. How is mother? I have not heard from her.”
“Oh! Sorry about that. Her work is so demanding, especially now that she is about to retire. It is good to retire with a clean record.”
“I can understand. I will be on my way.”
“It is alright. Take care of them.”
After Mr. Louis Bailey left, he pulled off his jacked, hung it on the suite hanger and walked to the couch to rest his head. To avoid disturbances, he left his phone which he had activated the silent mode on the table. Then, he reminisced on Nichole’s childishness and mumbled.
