The Love That Triumphed

“The movie industry is broad. It all depends on what you want to design the website for – promotion of movies, training for upcoming actors and actresses and so on.”
“Can you design one for me when I am ready?”
“I will be honored to be your web designer, Mr. Fields.”
“Thank you so much.”
“You are welcome.”
Mr. Denise was excited and impressed with the business acumen of his wife. Then, he looked at the time and announced.
“Thank you, Godfather and Godmother. It had been a pleasant morning. We shall be on our way.”
But Mrs. Fields revolted.
“I don't think you should leave without having lunch with us.”
She looked at her husband for his approval, and he gave his consent.
“I was hoping they would leave after dinner. Or Denise, are you on duty this evening?”
“No, Godfather. I'm off PM Shift until further notice.”
“Then, why are you rushing? This is your home too.”
Mr. Fields concluded.
He gave Olivia a questioning look, and she acceded to Mrs. Fields's request. Denise complied too.
“No problems. We shall leave after dinner.”
As a matter of fact, Mr. Denise Bailey reason for leaving was to have a feel of his wife. Now, he had to adjust. So, they got into the bedroom and after a few minutes, Denise voiced his worries.
“How can we remain with these clothes until dinner, especially me, after the walkout?”
“That is true. Let us check the wardrobe for pajamas. You can change while we wash this.”
“You are right.”
Before he could walk to the wardrobe, he heard a knock on the door. He looked at his wife before he looked at the door and asked.
“Who is that?”
“It is me. The janitor.”
Mr. Denise Bailey walked to the door and opened it for the janitor, who handed over two sets of pajamas to him.
“Thank you.”
Then, he looked at his wife and said.
“They must have read our minds.”
Subsequently, Denise took his bath, and they changed into the set of wears before he handed the walkout wears to the janitor for laundry and that made their stay more comfortable.
At The Bailey's Native Home.
Mr. Arthur Bailey woke up before lunch and discovered that Nichole was not beside him on the bed, and he became hysterical. He got off the bed with a start and began to dress up to go and look for his wife, while his mind ran to and fro instantly.
“You are up, my dear.”
He was startled to hear Nichole's voice as she walked out of the bathroom. He concealed his fear and responded as he held her closer to his chest.
“Yes, how are you, Nichole?”
“I'm fine. And you?”
“I'm fine.”
“I want to go to the kitchen and find out what the chef is preparing for lunch.”
“Don't bother yourself. We will eat anything that they prepare.”
Nichole raised her head and looked into his eyes and said.
“If you say so.”
(Peck)
Mr. Arthur Bailey gave her a peck and released her. Then, they sat on the couch and began to watch the television. He was not interested in the movie, but Nichole was because it was directed by her son's Godfather. Now, he picked up his phone and began to check the family platform posts. The first comment he saw after the time he logged in was from Julie.
“What is the problem with this classless fool? Why can't he mind his business?”
“He does not have business to mind, but Denise had given him one.”
“Really. What happened.”
“He gave him the beating of his life.”
“That is good. He can report to the authority if he has the nerves.”
Now, the hysterical Mr. Arthur Bailey could not believe what he was reading. When Denise said he should stay out of this, that he would handle it, he was thinking it would be pending. Then, he looked at Nichole who was watching her movie attentively and decided to watch the CCTV Footage.
'Freya and Denise fought such a battle on behalf of me and their mother while we were sleeping. That is good.'
He smirked in triumph, shook his head and looked at Nichole and wished he could keep her away from the whole drama.
'How can he say, 'I am using the woman who had loved my children even while her husband was alive as a nanny? I wish I could marry her tomorrow and put an end to this dilemma.'
Likewise, he carefully picked her phone from the table and kept it away while he pondered on the incident.
'What if Stephen reports to the authority? Youngster will always act before they consider the repercussions. Anyway, I will wait for his next move. Scumbag.'
Soon, it was time for lunch. They had their lunch and afterwards, returned to the bedroom. Although, they have five more days to their marriage, but it appeared like eternity. Then, Nichole asked the most dreaded question.
“Can we drive around the town in the evening?”
Mr. Arthur Bailey smiled and commended.
“It is okay. Are you bored?”
“Yes. I wish we could drive out.”
Mr. Arthur Bailey consented to her request with the belief that when they get to the bridge, they will cross it. Indeed, when they got to the bridge, they crossed it.
“Do you mind if we go for a walk around the estate? I did not go for my morning walkout today.”
Nichole accepted his suggestion with enthusiasm.
“Wow. I should have thought of that.”
Being proactive is not frailty, it is his way of protecting those he loved. At least, the estate was safe for her at that moment.
At Sevenoaks.
Mr. Louis Bailey had not commented on the platform, but his silence was scary. Of all the bashing that Mr. Stephen Bailey got that day, Mr. Louis Bailey's plans against him were bloodcurdling.
Now, Mr. Denise Bailey was too occupied with his wife and spending the rest of the day with his Godparents that he did not bother to check the family group platform. So, he was not aware of Julie's comments nor his brother's silence. Louis, who saw the post made by Denise after the chat between Freya and Julie, began to lunch his attack against his uncle. He went over the recorded conversation several times and each time he does that, the tempo of his anger rises, which intensified the revenge he set out to carry out against him.
(What I am saying is that you should let your mother know that she has to move on with her life. She cannot spend the rest of her life raising children for Arthur. He is only using her as a nanny.)
'He wanted mom to move on with her life and abandon my siblings and me like he abandoned his child. Why is he telling lies that father was using mom as a nanny? Anyway, maybe he has evidence to prove that.'
Having analyzed the issue critically, he gave his lawyer a call, and he picked.
“Hello, Mr. Bailey. How is your weekend going?”
“Hello. Barrister Guidance. My weekend is going on well. And yours?”
“Fine. How may I help you?”
“I will forward a post of the comment made against my parents by an unscrupulous relation. Go through it and advise me on what to do. I want to nip such relations in the bud to serve as a deterrent to others.”
“That is fine. You can forward it.”
Mr. Louis Bailey forwarded the post to the barrister and after thirty minutes, he called back.
“Mr. Bailey, I have gone through the post and I considered it an insult on your family, especially your parents. Secondly, such statement is provocative and can cause breakdown of the peace and harmony you enjoy as a family. We are going to file a lawsuit against him requesting him to prove his claim. However, this is a civil case, if he wants a voluntary settlement, we may halt the process and resort to arbitration.
“It is okay by me provided he takes responsibility and face the consequences of his actions.”
“It is okay. I will contact him before the end of Monday.”
“That will be fine by me. Thank you.”
“You are welcome.”
At. Mr. Nicholas Fields's Apartment
Mr. Denise Bailey and his wife chatted after he joined her on the bed. He was joyful that the woman he married was not just beautiful, but intellectually challenging.
“Angel.”
“Yes, hubby.”
“I hope my baby will be as intelligent as you are?"
Denise requested while rubbing her stomach. Olivia laughed out loud and responded.
“He or she would be as intelligent as the father.”
“No. Like the mother.”
“I insist. Like the father.”
“Okay. Let us settle it. Partly from the father and partly from the mother. Is that okay with you?”
“Partly okay with me.”
Denise pulled her nose and teased.
“It should be completely okay with you.”
Then, Olivia's phone rang. They paused and looked at the phone that was on the side table. Denise, who was closer to the picked it and handed it over to her. She looked at the phone and saw the caller and exclaimed before she sat up.
“Wow! My mom.”
Denise shot her an exciting glance as she spoke with her mom.
“Hello, mom. How are you?”
“I'm fine. How are you and your husband doing?”
“We are doing well, mom. How is dad?”
“Dad is fine. I feel you are out of your honeymoon and I decided to check on you.”
Olivia looked at her husband who was listening to her keenly before she responded.
