The Epiphany 16

Soon, the two professionals walked in and gave him a nod by way of greeting. Then, Dr. Quain administered the anesthesia and in less than thirty seconds, he slept off. Now, the two professionals returned to the doctor’s office wearing long faces. The truth was that, Louis was a loveable person who his family members love so much. Although, they were aware of the game plan, but Phil and Max could not resist the urge to shed tears despite how hard they tried.
“You don’t need to do that. He will be fine.”
Dr. Quain tried to encourage them.

At Dover. The Tourist Center.

After Denise and Olivia had agreed that they were going to create an office at the Tourist Center for Daniel De Pianist, he gave the Manager and the Chief of the security a call. Then, he instructed them on what to do. On Tuesday, after Denise got off work, they went to inspect the office.
Now, the Manager had converted a suite for that purpose, and Olivia was happy with the office.
“Do you love it?”
Mr. Denise Bailey asked his wife.
“Certainly. Thank you, dear.”
Now, it was time to recruit the first staff and the Visionary and the Boss Lady had to do that.
“So what next?”
Her husband asked. Olivia, who felt that there was no need for that, responded.
“Ask Jude to start work immediately.”
Mr. Denise Bailey burst into raucous laughter. He looked at the wife’s innocent face and lectured.
“It is not done that way. There are processes. First, the potential employee had to indicate interest in the job by applying for it. Secondly, there is the interview stage where you access the applicant and if you find him or her suitable for the job, you will hire, if not, you will let go of the applicant and advertise for the suitable candidate. Did you get me?”
“Yes, Hubby.”
“Good. That’s my baby.”
“So, when will you do that?”
Olivia asked innocently. Her husband laughed again and asked.
“Me?”
“Yes.”
“Why should I do that? Are you not the Lady Boss?”
“Ha. I can’t do it.”
“You can do it. You are my smart and intelligent wife. I will guide you.”
“Okay, Hubby.”
“Now, get to your seat as the Boss Lady.”
Olivia shyly walked to the swivel chair and sat down. He looked at her and said.
“Good. Now sit with the confidence of a boss.”
She did her best to portray the aura of a Boss Lady.
“That is good. Now, I will ask the Security Officer to ask Jude to come over. You know he is not coming to see me but you. So, the moment he walks in, invite him to the visitor’s seat and maintain your cool. The impression you give to him, today, will determine how you will work with him. Did you get me?”
“I got you. You are the best.”
“Thank you. I’m proud of you.”
Subsequently, he sent for Jude, who walked into the office and was shocked to see Olivia seated majestically on the office chair. Without minding his shock, Olivia invited him to the visitor’s seat.
“Jude, I sent for you. Kindly take your seat.”
Now, the puzzled Jude Addy looked at Mr. Denise Bailey who pretended to be busy with his phone before he walked up to the visitor’s seat, took his seat and greeted.
“Good day, Madam.”
“Good day, Jude. Without taking your time, I need the services of a dedicated pianist who is vast in image branding. He or she must be internet savvy and willing to work under less supervision. If you know of anyone who is qualified for the job, please let the person apply.”
Now, the couple had just succeeded in confusing Jude who was the best candidate for the job. He was not sure whether accepting the job would mean that he was not happy with his job at the Cinema Hall. To extricate himself from the wobbly situation, he simply responded.
“That is good, madam. I will get back to you if I have the address to channel the application to.”
“The address is simple. Through the manager of the Tourist Center.”

“Thank you, Madam. I would like to take my leave if there is nothing more you have for me.”
“It is all right. You can leave.”
“Thank you, Madam.”
After he left, Mr. Denise Bailey walked up to the wife and gave her a peck on her temple and remarked.
“You did very well. Keep it up.”
“Thank you, Hubby. But I have a problem.”
“What is the problem, my dear?”
“What if he does not apply for the job?”
Now, it was time for Mr. Denise Bailey to be confused.
Wednesday Morning
The Constable was not ready for more delays. At noon, he sent for the press men and when they arrived, the suspects were paraded at once. Their offenses range from kidnap attempt, abduction, and murder attempt, aiding and abating of crimes.
After the family meeting on Sunday, which was inconclusive because the family heads could not resolve the matter between Stephen and Mr. Arthur Bailey, he returned home more confused and dejected. Due to the story surrounding his bombed resort, he was unable to get to the insurance company to make claims, as the accident was as a result of carelessness on his part. Besides, he was hiding from the authority.
While he was starving in his house on that Wednesday afternoon, he watched at the television and saw familiar faces. He stretched forward and took a critical look at the suspects, and he could identify five out of the numerous suspects. The three wolves were looking emaciated and helpless, while the two women he bedded on the same weekend were handicapped.
“I thought that the wolves had been killed? I know that Jude died in the bomb blast?”
He muttered to himself. Now, the news was not clear to him because the news did not state that they would be released or charged in court.
“All the offenses were my plot. Does it mean that they would come for me very soon?”
