New Phase 13

“Thank you Kadon. You have been more than an employee. For standing by my son in the time of distress when no member of his family was aware of his predicament was not a mean feat. As you can see, the treat, today, is expedient.”
Dr. Kadon Quain took a deep breath when he discovered that his Chairman was stable and encouraged him.
“I am glad to know that you have taken the matter in your stride. You can call on me whenever you need my assistance.”
“You are right Kadon, I believe that challenges would always come our ways, and there is no doubt about it. Conquering the problem is what makes us heroes."
“I am relieved to hear that, boss. What about the surgery? What is your take about it?”
“Thank you. How far have you gone with your discussion?”
“I told him that I had contacted the professionals, and they needed to know the date of the surgery, and he had not gotten back to me on that.”
“That is good. I will come up with something before the date.”
“It is okay, Chairman. I will meet Dr. Harper at the Medical Center.”
“It is all right. See you at lunch.”
Subsequently, Dr. Quain left for the Medical Center to meet Dr. Harper, who had been expecting him with the notion that he had come specifically for the Chairman’s treat.
Mr. Arthur Bailey remained on the couch after Dr. Quain left to ponder on the issues at hand.
‘How did Louis’s ex-girlfriend end up as Denise’s wife? Something is not adding up. How come they are not fighting and relating as though nothing happened?’
When he could not get any answer to his numerous questions, which were about giving him an excruciating headache, he ran his hand through his short hair and rested his head on the headrest of the couch and began to look at the ceiling.
‘How can a young man lose a woman as beautiful and well-behaved as Olivia to his brother and not contemplate suicide?’
However, when the thought of suicide crossed his mind, he became jittery and picked up his phone from his desk and gave Louis a call. Now, Louis, who was startled about the emergency that took Dr. Quain to Dover, picked his father’s call at once.
“Hello, father. Good to hear from you.”
Mr. Arthur Bailey, who did not have an idea of what to discuss with him, was elated to hear his calm voice. Then he responded.
“How are you, son?”
“I am fine, father. How is mom?”
“Your mom is fine. How is your branch doing and the meeting with your clients yesterday?”
Now, Mr. Louis did not know how to respond to the question of the meeting with his clients, but he can cover it up with the happenings in the branch hinted.
“The branch is doing well. Dr. Quain left for the headquarters this morning on Dr. Harper’s invitation. I think there is an emergency.”
“Is that so?”
“Yes, father.”
“It is all right. Have a productive day.”
“And you too, father.”
(Cut)
When he got off the phone with Louis, he exclaimed.
“Oh! My son is going through emotional pains alone.”
Subsequently, his phone rang again. He looked at the caller and it was Denise. He shook his head before he picked.
“Hello, Denise, How are you?”
“I am fine, father. How is work?”
“Work is fine. And yours?”
“Fine. Max sad he would be in the country tomorrow. Are you aware?”
“Yes son. I promised to send a driver to pick him from the airport.”
“It is okay. My wife wishes to speak with you.”
“Wow! How is she?”
“She is fine. Speak with her.”
At the Food Planet Restaurant
Miss Harriet David was so excited when she learned that her restaurant would be hosting a high-profile company boss. She reserved a table at the corner of the restaurant, which she improvised immediately and tagged it VVIP.
At The Government Hospital
Lorene Walker returned home after she submitted her detailed report on how Mrs. Nichole Bailey attacked her when she got to her office to ask for a document that she left in her office on Thursday. Dr. Caesar smiled at her foolishness after going through her report. Then, he set up a four-man panel at once to deliberate on the matter.
Now, Mrs. Zoey Bailey had come to see Nichole after work as she promised. She was hoping that she would while away some time with her before they return to the Native Home. Mrs. Nichole Bailey Locked up her office, and they began to walk towards the vestibule. Then, Zoey saw Mr. Arthur Bailey’s car coming towards them. She stopped and waited for the driver who had come to pick Nichole to park because she was hoping that he was still away on his trip. Then, when he finally parked, Nichole announced.
“Zoey, I will have to leave you. We will continue our talk tomorrow.”
Zoey, who thought it was Mr. Arthur Bailey’s driver, showed worry and suggested.
“You can ask him to wait for you. Why the rush?”
Now, Nichole had already opened the passenger’s door, which revealed the driver. Then, Mr. Arthur Bailey, the supposed driver, greeted.
“How are you today, Zoey?”
Zoey had never seen Mr. Arthur Bailey angry nor attack anyone, but she was naturally scared of him. Now, she jolted forward when she heard his voice and responded in trepidation, and Arthur noticed.
“Good day, Mr. Bailey. I never knew you were back from your trip.”
Meanwhile, Nichole had sat comfortably on the passenger’s seat, and he gave her a peck on her temple to Zoey’s surprise. Then he responded.
“Yes, we came back from our honeymoon yesterday.”
The dumbfounded Zoey only looked on, while Denise’s claim that his mother was married at the last Family Heads Meeting flashed through her mind at once. To avoid embarrassing herself, Nichole helped her to regain her composure with her comment.
“It is all right, Zoey, see you later.”
The confused Zoey responded to Arthur’s response as well as Nichole’s at once.
“Okay, see you at honeymoon.”
The excited Nichole shut the door, and they laughed hysterically, which helped Arthur to stifle the worries the news of his children had caused him.
“What a funny response.”
Nichole said.
