You Came Too Late 12
They walked to the lobby of the Resort Center before they proceeded to the elevator.
“Good day. Mr. Bailey. I hope you are enjoying your stay.”
Mr. Denise Bailey and his team turned when they heard his name. Now, his wife, who was feeling drowsy, looked at the direction of the voice. Then he responded.
“Good day, Mr. Sullivan. My stay had been a pleasant one.”
“That is good. I am glad to hear that.”
“Good afternoon, Mr. Sullivan.”
Tim and Olivia greeted simultaneously.
“Good day, Madam. Good day, Young Master.”
Afterwards, Mr. Denise Bailey took his wife to the suite. Tim, who had been moody, got into the spare room and, rested. When Mr. Denise Bailey and his wife got into their room, he remarked again.
“Wifey, you are a strong woman. Please rest.”
Now, his wife was already seated on the bed, and she tried to unbuckle her flat sandals. As usual, her husband assisted her with that. Furthermore, she went to sleep after she had changed to her casual wear. Then, he walked to Tim's room and knocked.
“Come in. The door is not locked.”
He opened the door and walked in. Likewise, he met a dejected Tim lying on the bed with his clothes on. Mr. Denise Bailey expressed surprise and inquired.
“Tim, what is the problem?”
“Nothing. I'm fine.”
He responded coldly.
“If you are fine, you would not be lying there with your suit.”
Now, Tim got up from the bed and began to walk towards the wardrobe to change his clothes. Mr. Denise Bailey noticed the moist in his eyes and halted him.
“Why are you crying, Tim?”
However, Tim who had been suppressing the tears felt that there was no need for that, and he let go. The tears flowed freely down his cheeks and he tried to dry them with his palm. Then, Mr. Denise Bailey who was watching him while still standing by the door asked.
“Would you like to discuss whatever that is troubling you with me?”
He nodded his head in the affirmative without looking at Denise's face, rather, he was facing the wardrobe.
“It is all right. Put yourself together and meet me in the parlor. Did you get me?”
“Yes, Uncle.”
Since his wife was comfortable, he would be free to attend to the Bailey's family matters. Afterwards, he walked to the parlor and sent a message to his father before he gave him a call.
At the Bailey International Conglomerates, Dover.
Mr. Arthur Bailey arrived at the office that morning, elated. He was like a warrior who had conquered his enemies. Louis had had the surgery, and he had calmed down. Olivia's pregnancy belonged to the man who truly loved her. As for Louis' believe that Olivia's pregnancy belonged to him, when they get to that bridge, they would cross it. When he took his wife to work, he remembered that his wife had taken care of her rivals too. She got off the vehicle and walked to her office joyously after giving him a peck.
Based on the difference in times, it was morning in Kent and afternoon in Bricks Mont. After he settled down on his swivel chair, he noticed that his phone was ringing. He checked the caller and exclaimed.
“Oh! Denise.”
He enthusiastically picked his call and greeted.
“Hello, Denise. How are you?”
“Good to hear from you, father. I sent a message to you. Please read and reply.”
“All right. I hope there is no problem?”
“There is, but not something that we cannot handle.”
“It is all right. I will go through the message and get back to you.”
“I will be waiting, father.”
When the call ended, Mr. Arthur Bailey hastily punched on his son's message and read through.
(Good day, father. You can't believe it. I ran into Uncle Stephen's son in Bricks Mont.)
At the Springfield Tourism and Resort Center
Mr. Denise Bailey was still sitting in the parlor when he got his father's reply.
(What! How did you meet him and how do you know that he is Stephen's son?)
(I saw Uncle Stephen at the wedding we attended. The bride happened to be the mother of his son.)
(That is serious. Can you bring the son back? He is our kinsman?)
(What is your opinion? Do you think I should bring him back?)
(Yes. If you can bring him back, our ancestors will be happy with you.)
(I will give it a try, father.)
(Please, do everything possible to bring him back. At least, let him identify with his kinsmen.)
(All right, father. I will get back to you.)
(It is OK. Please come back with him.)
Now, Tim was already seated quietly in the parlor while Mr. Denise Bailey was chatting with his father. He laughed softly when his father emphasized on 'come back with him' in his last message. Afterwards, he looked up and saw Tim, who was bending his head, and called out.
“Tim, you are here.”
“Yes, Uncle.”
To make him relaxed, he teased.
“It is like you are missing your mom.”
Tim ran his hand through his long hair and smiled. Then, Denise proceeded.
“Get that menu list and place an order for dinner for us through the intercom.”
“All right, Uncle.”
Now, Tim cheered up and set out to execute the task. He was glad that he was helpful. He inquired on what he would like to have for dinner, and he called the kitchen at once. When he succeeded in placing the order, Mr. Denise Bailey requested.
“I feel like snacking. Where can we get good snacks?”
“I learned that the hotel sell good snacks. Would you like to check them out?”
“That is good. You can go and get it yourself. To avoid delay.”
The excited Tim got to his room and got his jacket at once before he left for the corner shops. Now, Mr. Denise Bailey was elated too because he had succeeded in making him happy. After a few minutes, he returned with varieties of snacks ranging from popcorn, vanilla fudge, chocolate, cream crackers and so on.
