“Father, I just sent a mail to you.”
“Oh! That's good.”
He went through the mail while Louis observed his countenance. Afterwards, he ignored it and concentrated on another thing. Then, Mr. Louis Bailey broached the topic, using the services that Cassandra Owen had been rendering to him as his selling point.
“Father, what do I tell my secretary concerning her interest in seeing that the janitor does not die out of poor medical attention?”
The father read through the proposal again and asked.
“What is the relationship between her and the janitor? Is she asking for assistance on his behalf because they are related?”
Mr. Louis Bailey was not prepared for that. He was hoping that he would only give approval and allow the janitor to be moved to the company clinic. All the same, he tried to defend Cassandra Owen and the janitor.
“On the contrary, father. She does not have any relationship with him. She is just showing concern for the poor janitor.”
Now, with his explanation, he put the Chairman in a tight spot. He looked at him again and said.
“She did not state the kind of assistance she wanted on his behalf, but I can only approve that he should be moved to the company clinic. You can make one thousand cash available to his parents for logistics. I think that would be OK?”
The elated Mr. Louis Bailey concealed his joy, lest his father would think that he had a special likeness for the janitor and revoke the approval.
“All right father. I will pass the message to her.”
He passed the information to Miss Cassandra Owen and Mr. Erick and copied Dr. Kadon Quain. They hastily drove back to the suburb and transferred the janitor to the company clinic, and the love that she had for him was increasing rapidly.
At the Headquarters Clinic.
Mrs. Nichole Bailey and Freya got to the clinic and discovered that Lady Olivia's temperature was increasing, and that gave them concerns.
“Angel, relax. You have cute babies.”
Meanwhile, Lady Olivia had concluded that her husband had abandoned her because he discovered that Louis was her ex-boyfriend, and that explained why he refused to see her and the baby. Nevertheless, they were careful of informing her of her husband's conditions to avoid further crisis.
Then, she began to weep profusely and requesting.
“My husband. Where is my husband?”
To her surprise, her mother, and sister-in-law were seeing it differently. They laughed heartily and Freya teased.
“Is that why you're running temperature? He came while you were sleeping, and the doctor advised that he should not disturb your sleep.”
Now, Freya tricks worked. They observed that her countenance had changed, and mother-in-law added.
“If you are calm, you would be awake when he would visit again.”
“Thank you, mom. Thank you, Auntie Freya. I will be calm.”
“You are welcome.”
“That is our Angel.”
They stayed briefly with her and afterwards they left. Now, they got home and met Louis, and they welcomed him joyously.
At the Bailey Native Home.
“Thank you, mom. Thank you, big sister.”
After dinner, he requested.
“Father and mom.”
“Yes, son.”
Mr. Nichole responded while Mr. Arthur Bailey looked on.
“I would like to have a discussion with you.”
Mr. Arthur Bailey dabbed his mouth with the serviette and asked.
“I hope there is no problem?”
Now, his mother had gotten off the dinner table and her husband stood up and waited for Louis’s response. When he got none, he joined his wife in the parlor and Louis took his seat too. They waited for him to start, but his head was down, and his father reminded.
“Son, we are waiting.”
He raised his head and began by apologizing.
“Father, mother. I apologize by failing to live up to your teachings. I must confess that I failed you as a son.”
He went on and narrated all that he thought that his parents were not aware of concerning him and Lady Olivia. Then he ended with.
“I am glad that she did not abort my pregnancy.”
He was surprised that his parents were not surprised even when he talked about asking her to abort the baby. Then, his father spoke.
“What made you think that she did not abort your pregnancy?”
“By my calculation, they got married eight months ago, and now she had put to bed. I am certain that it was my pregnancy.”
“That is good.”
His father pointed out. Now, Louis was beginning to see the meeting as a walk in the park until his father spoke again.
“Do you mean that you would have aborted my grandchildren, just like that? Assuming you were aborted, would you have lived?"
Meanwhile, his mother was prepared for him. So, she asked.
“How did the woman you asked to abort your pregnancy at Sevenoaks ended up as your brother’s wife at Dover?”
Now, in all his dilemma, he had never given this question a thought. When he could not respond, his mother asked further.
“If you were in Lady Olivia’s shoes, would you release the babies? After all, you asked her to abort, and she aborted”
Then, his father added.
“Or if you are in your brother’s position, would you allow your wife to give her babies to her ex?”
Now, Mr. Louis Bailey was weeping profusely, and his parents felt that it was time to reclaim their united family that was about to be torn apart. Then, Mrs. Nichole Bailey, who was infested by her son’s weeping, dried her tears with the back of her palm and continued.
“Louis.”
“Yes, mom.”
“Have you spoken with Angel since then?”
“No, mom.”
Mr. Arthur Bailey asked with a harsh tone.
“How do you expect that the woman you hurt so much would release her babies to an incautious human being? What if she had died on the road when you threw her out?”
Presently, Mr. Louis Bailey was at a loss. Then, his mother remarked.
“Louis, you owe Angel an apology. Your brother was not aware that you were his wife’s ex who inflicted so much pains on her.
