The Epiphany 2
Denise announced as he stood up and Phil stood up too.
At the Car Park
While the disgruntled Lorene Walker was waiting in her car after Phil and Denise walked out on her, she decided to keep herself busy by checking her post on the social media. Then, to her astonishment, she could not find anything about Nichole and her ugly duckling husband.
“What happened?”
She muttered. While she wondered what might have happened to her post, she got another post which she was tagged in with the caption.
(Lorene Walker, you are a killer and not a nurse.)
At this point, she began to sweat profusely, and her only wish was to be in her house and mourn herself, but she could not step an inch. She took a critical look at the post and was scared when she discovered that it was Nichole, the woman she considered a simpleton, was the person who tagged her.
“This woman is a smooth operator. So, she had these details all these while and kept it to herself.”
However, Freya and Olivia did not wish that Denise should find out about Lorene’s post about their mother, but she had presented herself cheaply into their territory. When Denise and Phil got to her car, she was drenched with tears and was looking at them in trepidation. At this point, the men who the Constable had sent were already at the gate waiting for her to drive out. Then, Denise asked.
“Excuse me ma’am, may we know why you want to see the Chairman, please?”
Now, Lorene Walker, the liar, cooked up a good story that would make her to leave the premises at once and her wish was granted. For whatever reason, she was no longer interested in being the first lady of the Bailey’s family.
“I am sorry. I’m in the wrong place.”
Nevertheless, Mr. Arthur Bailey had walked after Denise and Phil to see the lady who was connected to Mr. Stephen Bailey and wished to see him. Then, Lorene Walker set her eyes for the first and probably the last time on the handsome and successful man who she had spent so much energy to get. Then she declared.
“I wish to be on my way.”
When Denise and Phil saw her mood which they could not decipher, they granted her wish at once. They stepped away from her car and said.
“It is all right. Have a productive day.”
She had a great day indeed, as the police who were waiting for her at the gate stopped her at once and inquired.
“May we see your admittance tag, please?”
The dumbfounded Lorene realized that the Bailey International Conglomerate was not the Government Hospital where she could walk in and out at will. Now, her offense was obvious to her. She gatecrashed, and that was a criminal offense. Likewise, who would be her witness if she said that it was Phil, the Chairman’s son, as she thought, who permitted her to drive in without following the due process?
At Sevenoaks.
Mr. Louis, Bailey, and Max were at Louis’s office having their snacks on the couch when they saw a post popped on their devices; they discovered that it was Denise who had tagged them. Max, who was the first to notice the post, became curious because he could not identify any of the people in the video. Then, he called Louis’s attention, who stretched his neck closer to his device and asked.
“What is that?”
“Check your device. I think Denise tagged you too in the post.”
He picked up his phone that was on the center table and saw the post. He furrowed his brow as he watched the video and said.
“This is madness.”
“Who are they?”
The anxious Max asked.
“I don’t know the woman who attacked Auntie Zoey.”
They ignored the post and carried on with their lunch. Then, his phone rang again. Now, Max, who was more curious than Louis, looked on as Louis picked his call. Then, he smiled broadly and greeted.
“Hello, Mr. Edmonton. Good to hear from you?”
Max became at ease and picked his snack. Then, Mr. Edmonton replied.
“Hello, Mr. Bailey. Good to hear from you, too. I called to inform you that I am in Sevenoaks.”
“Wow! This is good. Welcome to Sevenoaks.”
“Thank you.”
“What about your friends, are they with you?”
“They are with me. We will be with you tomorrow.”
“That will be nice. Do you mind if I invite you for a dinner this evening?”
“That will be great. I will not mind.”
“It is all right. I will get back to you.”
After he got off the call, Max remarked.
“You have hastened his trip at last.”
“Yes. So, where are your colleagues lodging? I will ask him to meet us there.”
“It is all right.”
Afterwards, Mr. Louis Bailey gave Mr. Rex Edmonton the details of the dinner.
At the Government Hospital
After Lorene Walker made her controversial post which indicted Dr. Marcus Caesar, the authorities had been berating him with queries which he attempted to respond to. His colleagues, the Head of Other Government hospitals also called to get the details of the case.
“I did that to save her job. I was not expecting that she would make it public.”
He informed his colleague, Dr. Cliff, from Maidstone when he called.
Meanwhile, Dr. Caesar had accepted the verdict of the committee because he believed that it was an in-house matter which could be resolved amicably without her losing her job. Now, she had revealed what was supposed to be the secret of the Government Hospital in Dover. After listening to Dr. Caesar’s explanation, Dr. Cliff pointed out.
“That is absurdity. We have had many cases like that in my hospital, and we resolved them amicably.”
However, he got more calls, and he gave them the detailed explanation, and they condemned Lorene’s absurdities. Meanwhile, when he thought that he had explained enough to his colleagues, he saw a related post which the entire Medical Association was tagged in. He went through the post and the video which had opened another can of worms and exclaimed.
