The Sealed Forgiveness 8
“She stepped out yesterday with the baby. And she had not returned.”
“Since yesterday? And you are just informing me, Fred.”
Now he looked at the paper in his hand and became confused. Then, he looked at Tony, who just walked in before he ran upstairs.
“Is the boss under a spell? Why is good in everything except relationships?”
Fred asked.
“What happened, Fred?”
Tony, who was not aware that his Madam and her little daughter did not spend the night in the house, asked. Now, Mr. Louis Bailey got back to his room and gave Miss Cassandra Owen a call. To his excitement, her phone was still on. He waited anxiously for her to pick, but she did not.
At Dover.
Mr. Arthur Bailey and his wife were seated at the back seat, while Miss Cassandra Owen was at the passenger's seat. As the driver drove out of the gate, Miss Cassandra Owen's phone rang. Before she could open her purse and get it, the call timed out. Then she checked the caller and turned to her parents’ in-law.
“Father, mom. He called.”
“Ignore him.”
Her parents’ in-law blurted out simultaneously. They got to the school and got off.
“Have a nice, day. Father.”
“All right, Hubby. See you later.”
“See you later.”
Now, they got to the school and Miss Cassandra Owen assisted in her little way. Meanwhile, Sir. Denise Bailey and Lady Olivia came for the school run. Now, Little Olivia was radiant with Olive's school uniform. Afterwards, Lady Olivia took Cassandra, and they drove Denise to work.
“Thank you for the ride, Angel.”
“You are welcome, Bye, Hubby.”
“Bye, dear. Bye Cassandra.”
Now, Lady Olivia took Cassandra to the mall, and she picked some wears for herself and daughter. Afterwards, she took her back to the school and waited for the school to close before she picked her children and left.
Few Days Later
After Mr. Louis Bailey got tired of hiding his problem from his family members and was not getting through to his wife and daughter, he decided to open up to his parents. That Saturday morning, he arrived at the Native Home and his parents received him warmly, pretending as though they were not aware of the rift between him and his wife. Meanwhile, they had instructed Cassandra to lock herself in the guest room. They also sent messages to Denise, Phil, and their wives
“Welcome Dover, son. How is your family?”
His father asked. Then his mother added.
“I hope that your trip was not stressful?”
Meanwhile, he sat in the parlor without giving any response to their questions. Then he began to stare at the wall. Soon Sir Denise Bailey and his wife arrived, as well as Mr. Phil Anderson and his family. They left the children in the car and walked in. Nevertheless, they gave him warm greetings, but he responded coldly. Then Denise asked.
“Last born, why are you aloof?”
“Let him be. Last born. How are your wife and daughter?”
Freya asked
Now, everyone was seated, and all eyes were on Louis, then he spoke.
“Mom, Dad. My wife and daughter have left me.”
“What? What did you just say, Louis?”
Freya asked. Then Louis continued.
“I have been trying to reach them, but I could not. She would not even pick my calls.”
Lady Olivia shook her head in sympathy when he saw him crying like a baby.
“Look, she had filed for the annulment of the marriage.”
“This is serious. When did this happen?”
Denise inquired as he collected the petition from him. Now, his parents had left him at the mercy of the youngsters like him to taunt him. Afterwards, his parents glared at him and asked.
“Did you have a quarrel with her?”
Now, he was mute and looked at their faces. Then, Mr. Phil Anderson spoke.
“Baby, let's go. Since he does not know whether he had a quarrel with his wife or not.”
Now, he pretended to be getting up, and his wife did the same.
“Brother in-law, wait. We did not have a quarrel, but…”
“But what?”
Denise yelled and continued.
“Now, what do you want mom and father to do?”
There was a pin drop silence as everyone waited for him to speak. Afterwards, he said, “I am thinking of visiting her country home?”
“And do what?”
Freya fired. He looked at Freya, who would not allow him to go through such stress for long, and pleaded.
“Big sister, please. Help me. I was unfair to her”
Now, Freya, who was already tearing up, gave Daniel a call.
“Daniel, all of you can come in.”
“All right, mom.”
Now, Louis continued after drying his tears.
“Mom, father. I am certain that she would listen to you if we go to her country home.”
Soon, Daniel and the other children walked in and greeted in unison while the adults watched
“Good morning, Uncle Louis.”
“Daniel, Victor, and Vict…”
He stopped abruptly when he saw his daughter looking as beautiful and happy like the other children. He got up to carry her, but she ran to Denise and screamed.
“Olive's dad is my dad. He plays with me.”
He walked up to Denise and tried to pacify her.
“Come to your dad. I will play with you.”
She screamed the more, holding Sir Denise Bailey tighter and said.
“You are not my dad.”
Now, Mr. Louis Bailey leaned on his brother, who standing and wept bitterly. He rubbed his hand on the back and consoled.
“It is okay. We all make mistakes.”
Now, the atmosphere was becoming unpleasant, especially with the presence of the children. Then, the father called out.
“Cassandra.”
When she did not respond, he called again. Louis raised his head from his brother's shoulder and looked at the father. Then, he followed the direction of his eyes and began to walk briskly towards the guest room. To his delight, he met Cassandra walking out of the guest room and for the first time, they had a body contact. He spread his arms and she walked into them. He wrapped his hand around her back and pleaded.
“I was unfair to you, Cassandra. I apologize."
THE END.
