Father. I am Dying 3
He responded casually while still looking out for his car keys. Now, he began to walk towards the door and slipped his foot into the slippers that were at the door and walked out of the house. His parents followed too. They walked out of the house and began to walk to the car park.
“Young Master, take.”
The security guard said, stretching out his hand with a bunch of key. Now, the startled Mr. Louis Bailey gave him a questioning look, and he explained.
“It failed off your hand when you tried to put it inside your pocket. When I noticed it, you were already in your room.”
“Thank you, officer.”
He said as he collected the bunch and walked to his car. He opened the driver's side and began to look out for his phone.
“Look at it.”
Mr. Phil Anderson, who opened the back door, discovered that he dropped it on the foot mat instead of the back seat announced.
“Oh my God. Thank you, brother-in-law.”
He appreciated before he collected the phone from Phil joyously, and they began to walk back to meet his parents, who were standing at the door and watching them. Now, his mother, who had been imagining the risk he had exposed himself to, gave him a reprimand look. Likewise, his father turned in disgust and began to walk back to the house. Then, his mother, after she read him the riot act, she followed her husband. Meanwhile, Mr. Phil Anderson could read the handwriting on the wall. He looked at Louis, who also saw the reprimand look on his parents’ faces, and discovered that he was remorseful.
“It serves you right, Louis.”
Mr. Phil Anderson expressed before he walked back to the room, and Louis followed at once.
“What do I do, brother-in-law?”
He asked when he joined him in the room. Now, his brother-in-law would not like him to be stressed up again, so he smiled and encouraged.
“You are the last born. They won't be cross with you for long.”
Nevertheless, Louis's next statement left him shaking like a leaf.
“But I can be cross with myself for long.”
They were aware that their parents were loving and understanding parents, but they knew where to draw the line. They dare not go upstairs or knock on their door, especially when they were aware that they were angry.
“You don't have to.”
Now, the lunch was ready, and the janitor had served, but there was no one for him to inform. He quietly walked back to his room at the boys’ quarters. Then a smart idea flashed into Phil's mind, he smiled softly and announced.
“I have an idea.”
“Let's hear it.”
Mr. Louis Bailey requested as he adjusted himself.
“I will send for Daniel. He is the only one who can knock on their door. After all, he was not aware that they were angry.”
Now, Phil's guileful idea illuminated Louis’s face, and he consented.
“That is brilliant. Please get him.”
Meanwhile, Freya had just picked Daniel from school and was about leaving his school when he got her husband's call.
“Hello, Hubby.”
“Hi, baby. Are you home?”
“No, Hubby. I am about leaving Daniel's school. What's up?”
“That is good. I have a surprise for you and Daniel.”
“Wow! Let's hear it.”
“Last born is around.”
“Oh! Is he with you in the office?”
“Nope. We are at the Native Home.”
“All right. We are coming.”
(Cut)
After the call, Louis, who had been listening to their conversations, was thrilled. He rested his head on the headrest of the bed and focused on the television. Soon, Freya's car came to a halt beside her husband's car.
“Daniel, your uncle is around.”
“Yes, but I'm starving.”
“I know. You will have your lunch.”
“All right, mom.”
They got off the car and met Louis and Phil waiting to receive them at the door. Now, Daniel ran to his uncle, who lifted him up and greeted.
“Wow! Uncle Louis. Good day.”
“I am pleased to see you, Daniel De Pianist.”
He welcomed Freya too, and they walked back to the house. Now, he had put Daniel down, and he walked to the dinner table to help himself, but his father stopped him.
“We cannot eat without Grandma and Grandpa. Go and get them. Tell them we are waiting for them.”
To Daniel, that was no issue at all. He quickly climbed the staircase and knocked on the door. Without waiting for a response, he announced.
“Grandma and Grandpa, open the door. We are waiting for you at the dinner table.”
Now, Mr. Arthur Bailey and his wife, who forgot about the food that she asked the janitor to prepare due to Louis's disorderliness, jolted from their seats when they heard their grandson's voice.
“Hubby, Daniel, is around.”
Mrs. Nichole Bailey pointed out as she got up to let Daniel in. Her husband, who was still in his house wear, stood up too.
“I am glad to see you, Grandma. Where is grandpa?"
He remarked as he made his way into the bedroom.
“It is nice to see you, dear. Grandpa is here.”
Now, Daniel walked up to his grandfather and greeted cheerfully before he announced.
“I'm famished, Grandpa. Hurry.”
“It is okay. I'm famished too. Let's go.”
Mr. Arthur Bailey responded before he lifted him up and put him down. Afterwards, they walked downstairs to join the waiting team on the dinner table. Meanwhile, Mr. Louis Bailey had returned Dr. Kadon Quain's and his domestic staff member's calls.
After the lunch, Mr. Phil and his family left while Mr. Louis Bailey set out to engage his father in a discussion, but he did not heed his explanation. Therefore, he decided to pass the night at the Native Home. At dinner, they had their dinner quietly and the parents returned to their room.
Now, the couple was happy with his presence, but gave him the cold shoulder just to teach him a lesson or two as a deterrent.
