Ambassador of Peace 1
She was dressed up and holding her purse. Sir Relish, who was astonished to see his wife dressed up within such a short time, asked.
“Where are you going, My Lady?”
She ignored him and worked on. Now, he was losing it all, so he pleaded in anguish.
“My Lady, please. Don't walk out on me now that the world is collapsing on me.”
Meanwhile, he was holding his wife's hand, trying to stop her from leaving the room, but she pulled her hand off his and walked on. Then, she flared up.
“I am tired. I need a break. It is only you and your daughter who are always right. Every other person is wrong.”
Sir Relish, who had reached the end of the road, forgot that he was a Senior Knight and ran after his wife. He met her at the staircase, knelt down before her and pleaded.
“My Lady, just give me this last chance, please. I need you more at this critical period.”
To his wife's amazement, that was the first time he was admitting that he was wrong since she met him thirty-five years ago. Then he continued.
“Let see how we can stop Arthur from handing me over to the police. Please.”
When his wife saw his wet eyes, she began to mellow. Likewise, she helped him to get up, and they walked back to the room.
“You have to calm down. Let me call Nichole. She may speak to him, on our behalf.”
She admonished as they sat on the couch. Sir Relish, who was sulky, rested his head on her chest while she gave Mrs. Nichole Bailey a call. When she picked, she greeted.
“Hello, Lady Relish.”
“Hello, Nichole. Kindly talk to your husband….”
After narrating her story, she waited for Nichole’s response.
“I am at work now.”
“Please try to get across to him before he reports to the police.”
“Okay.”
“Thank you, Nichole.”
At the Bailey International Conglomerates
Now, Nichole gave Denise a call and narrated Lady Relish’s story to him. She concluded with.
“I am busy, and I feel you should talk to him.”
“Mom, why are they starting what they can't finish?”
“Denise, leave that for now. We will talk about it later.”
“It is all right, mom.”
Mr. Denise Bailey smiled softly and asked himself.
“When did father leave the complex?”
He looked at his phone and tried to give his father a call, but changed his mind.
“I will not talk to father. That man is full of himself.”
He tossed his phone aside and decided to stroll to his father's office. To his expectation, his father was in his unscathed mood. He gave him a searching look before he greeted.
“Good day, father.”
“Denise, how are you?”
“I'm fine, father.”
Now, he waited for his father to broach the topic, but he did not. Then, he laughed inwardly and set out to return to his off. Suddenly, his phone rang and Denise waited as he picked the call in a rush.
“Hello, Constable.”
Now, Mr. Denise Bailey sat back on the visitors' seat and paid attention to their discussion.
“Yes, Mr. Bailey. I know you are angry right now, and I don't think you truly wish us to arrest your friend, Sir Relish. Otherwise, you would have done it before now. We will speak again on this tomorrow when your nerves are down.”
'So, father truly wished to arrest that arrogant man? That would have been nice.'
Mr. Denise Bailey laughed inwardly.
“It is all right, Constable. Later.”
“Thank you for your understanding.”
(Cut)
Now, he looked at his son, who was looking at him searchingly. When, he was not forthcoming, Mr. Denise Bailey asked.
“Father, I hope there is no problem.”
His father, who had wanted to keep him out of it, had no choice but to explain. After the explanations, Mr. Denise Bailey added.
“We will do as the Constable said, but we will threaten him with a lawsuit.”
“Let him be, he must have learned his lessons.”
At Sir Relish Apartment.
Sir Relish was resting his head on his wife's chest while she was speaking with Nichole. He was thrilled by the fragrance from his wife's body, and he stayed on her chest after the call. His wife mistook it for being remorseful and did not bother to discourage him. Now, Sir Relish had been far away from the real taste of life. He had been the mighty to himself, and he wished to exact that on the people around him. Meanwhile, his wife had lived with that all her marriage life. Now Sir Relish had never thought that he could depend on anyone for help but that day, he depended on his wife and he got help. He could not imagine the joy that surged from within him, and he felt it should never cease. Now, he lifted his head off his wife's chest and kissed her cheek softly. She furrowed her brow in wonder while he continued kissing her ear, nose and finally, her lips. Then, he wrapped his hand around her neck, pulled her closer to his face and gave her a deep kiss. Likewise, she reciprocated silently as his hand found its way to her breast which he pulled out her top and a caressed them and his wife relished the moment.
“You are sweet, my Lady.”
Lady Relish, who wondered what happened, could not respond besides, she did not know what to say. The only time she spoke was when her husband penetrated her.
“My Knight, you are different today.”
“Yes, and I will be different henceforth. Give yourself to me, my lady.”
“Take me, my Knight.”
That day, Sir Relish confessed that life could be sweet if shared with loved ones.
“I love you so much, my Lady. You have tolerated me all these years. I promise to make you happy the rest of your life.”
Now, Lady Relish, who had been a wife just by name, was shedding tears of joy and her husband understood.
“You can cry on my shoulder. I have enough energy to love you and carry your burden.”
While this was going on, his phone rang, and it distracted them. Then, he picked and shook his head in worry. Now, his wife who was paying attention to him scooted over to his shoulder and screamed.
“Constable?”
She tried to dress up, hoping that he was at their gate to pick her husband, but he stopped her.
