The Attack 6
At. Mr. Nicholas Fields's Apartment.
Mr. Denise Bailey stopped suddenly and enthusiastically and checked his phone to see who the caller was. Then, Mr. Fields looked at him attentively hoping that it was Louis, but to his consternation, Mr. Denise Bailey picked up his call and greeted another person.
“Hello Uncle Stephen. Good to hear from you.”
On hearing another name apart from Louis, Mr. Fields took his wife and walked to his bedroom, leaving Denise alone in the parlor. To avoid disturbing his wife, who was resting in the guest room, Denise sat down in the parlor to speak with Mr. Stephen Bailey.
“Hello, Denise, good to hear from you too. Congratulations on your marriage. Sorry, I could not make it to your wedding.”
“It is all right. Thank you for your wishes, Uncle Stephen.”
“You are welcome. Em…”
When Denise noticed that he was fidgeting, he was worried and inquired.
“Is anything the matter, Uncle Stephen?”
“Yes. No. How is your Mom?”
“My Mom is fine.”
He responded sharply and waited anxiously to hear what he had to say.
“It is all right. I just, I just feel you should let her know that she is still young and needs a man by her side. Did you get me?”
“Get what, please?”
“Did you get what I said?”
“What did you say, Uncle Stephen?”
“What I am saying is that you should let your mother know that she has to move on with her life. She cannot spend the rest of her life raising children for Arthur. He is only using her as a nanny.”
“I see. And what is your interest on how my mother lives her life?"
“I have interest in her because I have made up my mind to marry, and I feel she is the right woman for me.”
“In that case, I will prefer that Arthur should continue using her as a nanny. At least he is responsible enough not to have a child outside wedlock nor abandon his children with a woman for twenty years.”
“Denise!”
The bewildered Stephen called, but it was too late.

Before Denise walked into the guest room to meet his wife, he forwarded the recorded conversation to the family platform and commented.
(Insult. Uncle Stephen, who cannot advise himself, is advising mom.)
He got into the guest room and met his wife, still sleeping. He took his seat on the couch to take a rest too.
Then, he got a call from his father, who saw his post on the family platform. Then he got up and began to walk to the parlor, but his phone ring sound disturbed his wife, and she opened her eyes. He motioned to her to go back to sleep before he walked to the parlor and then to the courtyard to ensure that his wife was not within earshot.
“Father. Good morning.”
“Hello, Denise. What transpired between you and Stephen.”
“He called me a few minutes ago and was saying those rubbish.”
“What is the matter with Stephen? He left here about thirty minutes ago. I thought he should be gentleman enough to behave himself.”
“Really? Father, stay out of this. I will handle him because he is not your class.”
(Cut)
Now, Denise called the Security Post and instructed the Chief of Security as soon as the call connected.
“Hello, Young Master. How may I help you?”
“I learned that Mr. Stephen Bailey was at the estate today?”
“Yes, Young Master.”
“Don't grant him access to the estate anymore. Did you get me?”
“Yes, Young Master. But he is still in the estate.”
“What?”
“Yes. He is yet to exit.”
“Where could he be? Father said he had left his apartment.”
“We have not seen him.”
“Then, comb the estate and arrest him for loitering and suspicious movement. I'm on my way.”
“All right, Young Master.”
That Saturday became a nightmare in the life of Mr. Stephen Bailey. After he left Mr. Arthur Bailey's Apartment, he got into his car and began to grumble and curse. When he got tired of fighting someone who was stronger than him, he deemed it fit to robe himself with more troubles and put a call across to Denise, which he regretted.
After Denise scorned him, he rested his head on his car steering for a few minutes and pondered on the discussion he had with Mr. Arthur Bailey a few minutes ago.
(Yes, being with the right partner will guarantee the success of the relationship if each person works hard to be the appropriate partner.)
“Could Ann Princewill be the right partner who would have given me the kind of life I need if I had attempted to be a good partner?"
He mumbled.
Ann Princewill, a fifty-three years old woman, was his ex-girlfriend and the mother of his only son, Tim Princewill. He declined all the efforts she had put in to make the relationship between them to work. When he was not forthcoming, she became discouraged and focused on raising her son.
Mr. Stephen Bailey gave his actions a second thought. He became ashamed of himself and the embarrassment his inaction had caused him, especially the humiliation he got from a child like Denise. Subsequently, he turned on his car ignition and drove towards the gate, but he met his Waterloo.
At Mr. Nicholas Fields's Apartment
After Denise Bailey got off the phone, he calmed down to avoid giving his wife panic before he walked back to the guest room to meet her still sleeping. This time, he sat beside her and called out.
“Sweetie. You need to wake up.”
Then, she opened her eyes slowly and smiled before she put forward.
“Hubby, are you back?”
He kissed her temple and lectured.
“Yes. You need to wake up and have your breakfast, and it is time for your routine drugs too.”
“It is okay. Thank you for reminding me.”
She got off the bed and sashayed to the bathroom. Then, his phone rang and it was Freya. He picked and greeted.
“Good morning, big sister.”
“Good morning, Denise, what happened?”
“Let me call you back in the next ten minutes.”
“It is all right.”
(Cut)
“Is that Auntie Freya?”
Olivia asked as she walked out of the bathroom.
“Yes, dear. I want to visit the Native Home. Something came up which needs my attention. I will be back soon.”
Olivia gave her approval before he gave her a hug and announced.
“Make yourself comfortable. Mrs. Fields is ready with the breakfast. I will be back before you know it.”
“It is all right. Be careful.”
“I will.”
Then, Mr. Denise Bailey informed his Godfather of his visit to the Native Home, and he handed over his car keys to him before he left. Then, Olivia joined them on the dining table.
On The Road To The Native Home
Denise gave Freya a call, and she picked. He narrated the discussion he had with the Security Officer and concluded with.
“I'm on my way to the Native Home.”
“Do you mean he is still at the estate?”
“Yes.”
“That is good.”
(Cut)
At that point, Freya, and her husband, Mr. Phil Anderson hit the road too.
When Mr. Stephen Bailey got to the gate, the Security Officer accosted him. He was dumbstruck to see the Security Officer who welcomed him warmly an hour ago speaking to him with hostilities.
“Park and get off the car, quickly.”
The Chief of Security thundered in an indifferent manner. Mr. Stephen Bailey complied and parked before he stormed out of his car angrily and barked with a standoffish tone.
“What do you think you are, doi…”
“Raise your two hands and remain calm.”
He gave the Security Officer who just interrupted him a hard look. He ignored his order and continued to speak.
“Who are you to give me orders in my family house as though I am a common criminal?”
“One more word from you, I will treat you like the criminal you are.”
“What?”
At this juncture, Mr. Denise Bailey drove into the compound like a Mafia. He parked and got off his car, filled with a murderous rage. His dressing – walkout wears portrayed him as one who came prepared for a war. He began to walk up to Mr. Stephen Bailey, who questioned him with a false boldness that concealed his trepidation.
“What do you think you are doing, Denise?”
In response to his incoherent question, Mr. Denise Bailey unleashed several slaps on his face and roared.
“You wastrel, how dare you talk about my parents in such imprudent manner. Are you of the same class with them, or are you out of mind?"
Then, Mr. Stephen Bailey had staggered backwards before he landed on his butt on the floor. He looked at Denise in astonishment, and he could not comprehend why a child who addressed him as 'uncle' a few minutes ago will give him such a disgraceful treatment. Then, he noticed that he was bleeding, and he began to wipe the blood that was dripping from his nose with his shirt while Mr. Denise Bailey berated him.
“If I ever see you loitering around or moving about suspiciously, I will…”
Then, Mr. Stephen Bailey gathered momentum and puked rubbish.
“I am a member of the Bailey's family, I am free…”
Mr. Denise Bailey furiously advanced towards him again before Freya and her husband who just arrived screamed.
“Denise, stop.”
But Denise must make use of his fist that he had raised. So, he gave him two punches on his mouth to shut him up before he stopped. Then, his sister continued from where he stopped.
