New Phase 15

Just as planned, they arrived at the restaurant at the same time. Now, Harriet had put on the waiters uniform to receive them by herself because she did not want anything to go wrong.
“Welcome to the Food Planet Restaurant.”
“Thank you.”
She greeted along with the other waiters. When she was certain that they were comfortably seated, she withdrew to the kitchen and stationed her trusted waiter to keep eyes on them. Soon, their meal was served, and they began to eat while they chatted.
“Thank you for honoring my invitation despite the short notice.”
Mr. Arthur Bailey complimented while Nichole looked on cheerfully.
“It is my pleasure for me to earn your treat, boss.”
Dr. Quain declared while Dr. Harper, who was very excited, announced.
“I cannot ask for anything more than this, boss. I appreciate.”
Then, Mr. Arthur Bailey continued.
“I wished to appreciate you for the relentless efforts you put in the services of the organization and, above all, to formally inform you that I am officially remarried to Nichole.”
Now, he turned and looked at Nichole, who was seated by his left hand and held her right hand as she introduced her to the doctors. Then, Dr. Quain, who knew more than Dr. Harper, played along as he pretended that he was hearing about their marriage for the first time and exclaimed.
“Wow! That is a piece of good news. Congratulations, boss, and madam.”
“Thank you, Dr. Quain.”
Nichole appreciated, while Dr. Harper hinted.
“I was exhilarated when I learned that from the Chairman this morning. Congratulations to you.”
“Thank you.”
Mr. Arthur Bailey and his wife greeted simultaneously, and they continued with their meal in silence. Likewise, the waiter was trying to stop a client from walking to the VVIP, but the client could not be stopped because he insisted that he must get to the VVIP at all cost. When the argument captured the attention of the VVIPs, Nichole looked up and saw the client, and then called out.
“Henry.”
Now, the other guests looked up too, as well as Mr. Arthur Bailey, who smiled and invited him.
“How are you, Henry? Come.”
The waiter who became ashamed of himself made way for him to walk to the VVIP, and he greeted.
“Good day to you, Mr. Bailey. Good day, Auntie Nichole.”
“Good day. Henry.”
Mr. Arthur Bailey responded as he gave the waiter a sign to get a seat for him. Just in, as expected, the waiters arranged for a seat between Dr. Quain and the Chairman for him, and he sat down. Then, he introduced the doctors to him.
“Meet Dr. Harper and Dr. Quain. And meet Mr. Henry Taylor, my friend’s son.”
“Good day, Dr. Harper. Good day, Dr. Quain. I am pleases to see you.”
Henry greeted, and the doctors responded as they surveyed Henry, who was smiling from ear to ear.
“Good to see you, Henry.”
“What have you come to do, Henry?”
Nichole asked while Mr. Arthur Bailey looked at him and waited for his response.
“I came for my lunch and I saw Mr. Bailey’s car. So, I came to say hello.”
Now, Mr. Arthur Bailey beckoned to the waiter who came at once, and he instructed.
“Please, take his order.”
“It is okay, Sir.”
He took Mr. Henry Taylor’s order and left. While waiting for his order, Mr. Bailey gave him a questioning look and asked a coded question to avoid embarrassing him.
“I got a message from your father last week, Henry.”
Now, Henry, who was expecting the question, did not hesitate in giving his response.
“The ability to say ‘No’ requires no ceremony, and I can’t build a relationship on a fancy illusion.”
Mr. Bailey and his wife were speechless, and they continued with their meals silently.
In the kitchen, Harriet was furious when he saw the waiter who she had asked to attend to the VVIPs in the kitchen. Then she requested.
“Why are you here?”
“Another guest just joined them, and I have taken his other.”
Now, Harriet calmed down and attended to the order that the waiter just submitted, giving it a careful attention.
Soon the waiter served his food, and they had their meals in silence. Afterwards, Dr. Quain left for Sevenoaks while the remaining team dispersed. While they were leaving, Harriet peeped to see who the last guest was. She was surprised when she discovered that the last guest was Henry, whom she played the game with every night.
‘Henry? Who is he?’
She muttered to herself. Now, she began to wonder who Henry could be, as she remembered how he assisted her at the diner the previous week.
‘He must be a humble person.’
The thought of Henry being associated to Mr. Arthur Bailey gave her concerned for a few hours and later, she dismissed it and only remembered him when they played their online game. To her surprise, she did not have his contact. However, they played their games until she slept off. Then, he chuckled and remarked.
“She had slept off again.”
Playing the online game with Harriet had helped him so much in stabilizing his emotions, and almost forgot that Whitney ever existed.
At the Bailey Native Home
Mr. Arthur Bailey had succeeded in using the treat to cover up the visit of Dr. Quain to Dover and gathered the information he needed about his son, Louis. To an extent, he was relieved, but he required the details which will require Denise’s point of view. However, the thought of Mr. Henry Taylor calling off his wedding without stress got him thinking.
“The youths and the way they do things marvel me.”
He murmured as he was driving home with his wife, who had been in silence. When he got the message of the wedding been canceled from Sir. Taylor, he thought that it was him who put it off due to the class tussle between him and Sir. Relish. He had been wondering how Henry would have felt, and that explained why he was shocked when he owned up that he canceled the wedding by himself.
“You have been quiet, Nichole. I hope you are good.”
