The Secret 4
Afterwards, he gave the Patriarch a call to acquaint him with the progress of things. When he got his call, he picked with pleasure, hoping to hear that Denise had turned his request down.
“Hello, Admiral, good to hear from you again.”
“Good to hear from you, General. I called to inform you that your suggestion worked. Mr. Bailey had accepted that we should have a physical meeting on Thursday. I will see you when I arrive tomorrow.”
Now, the Patriarch was speechless because he could not imagine that Denise would have the courage to accept a physical meeting with the Chief of the Defense Staff of a nation. All the same, he composed himself and responded.
“Oh! That is good. I will let you know my schedule when you arrive. Safe trip.”
“It is all right.”
Wednesday, At Denise Apartment
Mr. Denise Bailey woke up early and observed that his wife was still sleeping and did not wish to disturb her sleep.
“I think you should have some rest today.”
He mumbled. Then, he got the janitor to make the breakfast ready, which he did. He got to the dining table, had his breakfast and returned to the bedroom. Now, his wife was awake, but she was still lying on the bed.
“What’s up, darling?”
“I need some rest.”
“Then, take a rest. I will be back early. Are you okay with that?”
“Yeah. It is okay.”
Mr. Denise Bailey ensured that she had her breakfast and routine drugs before he left.
“I will tell Freya that you are at home. If she is free, she can come and keep you company.”
“That would be nice.”

“I love you.”
“I love you too. Have a wonderful day.”
The Bailey International Conglomerate
Mr. Denise Bailey walked to his father’s office when he got to work and his father was pleased to see him. He gave him a searching look the moment he walked in to read his countenance, and he was composed and happy.
“Good morning father. Good to see you.”
He greeted before he took his seat.
“Good morning son. I am glad to see you.”
Now, Mr. Denise Bailey scanned his father too and noticed that he was getting younger. He chuckled before he stated his mission.
“Father, I am expecting some clients from Dunforn South and North today.”
Mr. Arthur Bailey smiled and exclaimed.
“Oh! That is good. I guess they are coming to buy ammunition?”
“You are right, father, but I don’t wish to supply them with any.”
His father looked at him again and demanded.
“Why? Don’t you have enough?”
“I do, father, but I have another plans.”
“Let’s hear it.”
He ran his hand through his hair and took a deep breath before he spoke.
“I feel that if I don’t supply them with ammunition, they would think of a mutual solution to end the war instead of killing each other, especially the youths.”
He paused and read the expression on his father’s face, and he seemed pleased, then he continued.
“These countries had been at war for the past five years and were impoverished by the effect of the war. I think they should stop.”
Now, Mr. Arthur Bailey, who had been listening keenly, could not ask for any other good news more than that. Although, he had been expecting that Phil and Max who left for Sevenoaks that morning would bring him a piece of good news, but the understanding that his son could think that way had made his day. He could not hide his satisfaction when he spoke.
“Son, I am proud to be your father. When I encouraged you to pick an interest in Engineering and the production of ammunition, it was for the purpose of making my father and your grandfather proud. You did not disappoint me.”
“I am delighted, father, but I will need your assistance.”
“What do you want me to do?”
“I would like you to be at the meeting. I may not be able to withstand the two Chiefs of the Defense Staff of two warring nations.”
Now, Mr. Arthur Bailey chuckled. He would not want to share in the credit, so he encouraged Denise.
“You are already capable. Pulling them out of their countries to ours is enough capability. You are the grandson of Retired General Armand Bailey, a general with a difference. That should be enough to inspire you.”
Now, Mr. Denise Bailey’s face beamed as he looked at the portrait of his grandfather, which encouraged him.
“I got it, father.”
“It is all right. If you need any assistance, kindly let me know. Meanwhile, I will monitor your meeting from my office.”
“Thank you father. There is one other issue.”
Mr. Arthur Bailey looked at him with his expectation as he carried.
“I have an illegal immigrant working for me in the Tourist Center.”
His father’s countenance changed at once, and he asked.
“How? What would such a person be doing with you?”
Nevertheless, Mr. Denise Bailey went ahead and narrated how he met him and concluded with a thought-provoking reason.
“I felt that if I don’t engage him, another criminal would hire him and still use him for criminal activities.”
“You are right, son. I think the right thing to do is to ensure that his immigration status is legalized before the authority finds out.”
“You are right, father. I will be on my way.”
“It is all right.”
He walked back to his office and called on the sales department to confirm about the consignment he promised to ship to his client.
“Yes, boss. We have shipped the consignment. We will follow up.”
“That is good.”
After Mr. Denise Bailey left, his father pondered on their discussion and was jubilant. However, he was disturbed with the presence of an illegal immigrant in his services, so he put a call across to the Head of Immigration and sought his opinion.
“Hello, Mr. Bailey. I am honored hearing from you.”
“Hello, Mr. Douglas. Good to hear from you, too.”
“Mr. Brown Bailey called me last week, he made me to understand that you were out of the country.”
