The Epiphany 8

“Why was she not online?”
“Was she attacked on her way home?”
“Is she still crying?”
For those reasons, he defiled every pride in him and gave her a call, which she picked with a rush and greeted.
“Hello, Henry. It is good to hear from you.”
“Hello, Harriet. Why are you not online? I have been expecting you.”
“It is all right. I will come online now.”
“Wait. Why were you not online as usual?”
Now, Harriet was at a loss of the right response to give, so she maintained that she was going to log in, but Henry’s next question helped her out.
“Are you still crying because I had my lunch elsewhere today?”
“What! Did you see me crying?”
“Not at all. I saw you singing.”
Harriett laughed heartily and Henry laughed along with her too. Then she asked.
“On a serious note, why did you not show up as usual?”
“I was with Mr. Fields, besides, I did not know that you will notice my absence.”
“It is all right. Now that you have known that I will notice your absence, what will you do?”
Now, Mr. Henry Taylor sat up from the bed and rested on the headrest of the bed, took a deep breath and asked.
“I would have known what to do if I know why you noticed my absence.”
Miss Harriet David ran her hand through her head and breathed freely before she responded.
“You are a golden fish which cannot hide. They are special, and their absence can easily be felt.”
“Wow! That is the poet talking.”
She laughed again and asked.
“Am I a poet?”
Now, Mr. Henry Taylor could not deny the fact that she loved him, and he loved her too. Then, without responding to her question, he asked.
“What are your plans for tomorrow? I would love to see the face of the poet.”
“I will be free by 10 am. Will that be okay by you?”
“Certainly. I will pick you.”
“It is all right. Good night.”
“Sweet dreams. I’m waiting for you to login for the online game.”
“It is okay.”
Meanwhile, Mr. Henry Taylor was excited with the epiphany that Harriet truly loved and cared for him. He reminisced the previous events ranging from the first day they met at Mr. Field's house, how he was mesmerized by her beauty and melodious voice and the meeting at her restaurant and smiled. Then he logged in to the game, and they began to play. As usual, Harriet slept off, and he was disappointed as he wished that the game would not end.
“Oh! She had slept off.”
He exclaimed. He looked at his phone and searched for her pictures and found one with her catering outfit and admired it for a long time before he made it his display picture on his phone. Afterwards, he slept off.
At Mr. Denise Bailey’s Apartment
After the two Admirals left, he got to his father's office and met him waiting cheerfully for him. Then, he greeted.
“Good day, father.”
Mr. Arthur Bailey got off his seat and walked to him before he gave him a hug and responded.
“Good day, Denise. That was a good one. I was scared when the two Admirals met in your office.”
“I was scared too. I was not sure of what to expect.”
“It is all right. You managed the situation properly.”
“Thank you, father.”
“You are welcome. You have set the ball rolling for them. It is up to them to decide on what to do.”
“You are right, father. Thanks for your support. I could not have been able to handle such task if not that you were by my side.”
“And your grandfather’s portrait.”
They laughed heartily and Denise announced.
“I have seen Louis, alert. I will give him a call later.”
When he mentioned Louis, Mr. Arthur Bailey’s inner peace and joy eluded him at once. He wished that a miracle could just take place, and he would wake up one morning and discover that the issue between Denise and Louis would be a dream. Then, he put himself together and said.
“It is all right.”
Afterwards, Denise, who had been too busy for his wife’s liking, left for his office and closed for the day. He got home to meet his wife and Daniel alone in the house. As usual, she walked to the car to receive him.
“Welcome back, Hubby.”
Before Denise, who had rolled down his car window, could respond to his wife’s greetings, he heard a familiar voice that startled him.
“Uncle Denise, welcome back.”
Now, Olivia, who was backing the verandah, turned abruptly and looked at the boy who he left in the parlor standing at the verandah. Denise had no choice than to get off his car at once and held his wife’s hand.
“Thank you, my Angel. What of his parents?”
“Auntie Freya was at the court today. So, I did the school run.”
“That is nice of you. How are you, Daniel?”
He asked as he held Daniel’s hand, and they walked back to the parlor. After he settled down, they looked into the concert project and Denise advised.
“I think we can start advertising for the event. What do you think?”
“I think it is too early to start selling the tickets.”
“I am not talking of selling the tickets. We can run the advertisement for a month and begin the selling of the tickets afterwards.”
“I see. That is a good idea. In that case, we would have more recordings tomorrow.”
“It is all right. But I had wanted to devote the weekend to my Angel and daughter.”
“No problem. We are together.”
“Nevertheless, you can send the publicity to the page informing your followers of the upcoming event.”
“I will do that right away.”
Later, Freya came around to pick Daniel, who was sleeping in the guest room. Then, Denise walked into to get him, and he remembered the last time he walked into the room was when Louis visited and how he dropped his white suit and left, and his heart tingled awkwardly. All the same, he lifted Daniel from the bed.
