You Came Too Late 4
“We are at your gate.”
“Wow! Come in please.”
While she was answering her call, she began to walk to the door and Tim tagged along. They were surprised to see the two police men, and she asked.
“Officers, what happened?”
The policemen who were more interested in ensuring that the occupants of the house were safe greeted.
“Good to see you, Madam.”
“Good to see you, officer.”
“Are you the occupant of this house?”
“Yes.”
“Good. We are on patrol, and we wish to ensure that there is no issue anywhere in the neighborhood.”
“Good job, officers.”
“Thank you. We will be on our way.”
Now, she walked up to Mrs. McGregor and greeted.
“Big, sister. What brings you?”
“I came to introduce my in-law to you.”
She said, looking at the car. Now, Tim, who had been standing silently beside his mother, asked.
“Auntie, who is your in-law?”
He asked and began to walk to the car at once. Then, his mother followed suit. Meanwhile, Tim got to the car and saw two men and a lady who he could not recognize. Then, his mother, who was behind him saw them and screamed.
“My niece and her husband.”
“Mom, is it Olivia and her husband?”
“Yes.”
Now, the excited Tim walked to the back door and opened the door. Then, Denise got off first and held the door for his wife, who got off too.
“Good evening, Uncle in-law. Welcome to Bricks Mont.”
Tim greeted with excitement. Now Olivia was off the car and Tim greeted and Denise responded with a smile.
“Thank you dear.”
“Good to see you, big cousin. Welcome to Bricks Mont.”
Olivia, who was looking beautiful in her maternity gown, returned Tim’s greetings.
“Thank you, Tim. Good to see you, little cousin.”
Afterwards, they got into the house and chatted happily.
“Denise and Olivia, Welcome to Bricks Mont. Please take your seat.”
“Thank you Auntie. Congratulations in advance.”
They responded simultaneously and took their seats. Now, Tim, who was excited, was all over them. He took seat beside them and asked.
“Uncle Denise, what do I offer you?”
Now, Olivia and Denise did not feel like taking anything because they have just had their dinner with the McGregor, but to avoid ruining Tim’s evening, he requested.
“Thank you, Tim. Water will be okay.”
“It is all right.”
He left for the kitchen and returned with two glasses of water, kept them in the on the center table and sat back beside them.
“Tim, thank you for the water.”
Mr. Denise Bailey appreciated. Now, Madam Ann asked.
“Denise and Olivia, is that all you would take? What of tea or coffee?”
Mr. Denise Bailey smiled and looked at his wife, who responded.
“Yes, Auntie Ann. We just had dinner with mom and dad.”
“Besides, it is too late.”
Now, Madam Ann Princewill added.
“I see.”
Then Mr. Denise Bailey took a gulp of the water and dropped the half-filled glass on the table and kept himself busy with his phone while he gave his ears to the discussion between his wife and her cousin. Meanwhile, Olivia and Tim were on the Page of Daniel De Pianist, and he was just discovering that such a page existed.
“Big cousin, I am just seeing this.”
“Yes. It is because I am using an account that you are not familiar with.”
“You are right. Now that I have known, I will assist by promoting it.”
“I appreciate.”
Now, Tim posted the advert for the event on his page, where he had over ten million followers.
Then Mr. McGregor asked.
“What happened? Why are the policemen interrogating your security officer?”
She wrinkled her brow and said.
“My ex visited and Tim chased him away.”
“That is good. What does he want?”
She took her time gave them a run a rundown of what happened and Mrs. McGregor said.
“He came too late.”
Mr. McGregor laughed heartily and teased.
“That is good. Ann, I hope you are not considering changing your mind?”
Ann and Mrs. McGregor laughed loudly, and she said.
“Brother In-law, won’t you disown me if I do that?”
They laughed again. Meanwhile, Mr. Denise Bailey was not interested in their discussion because he did not know the person they were referring to. Now, he felt that his wife should be on bed at that time to avoid much stress on her, so he pulled a trick that would enable them to leave without appearing rude to his parents’ in-law and host. Then, he gave the driver a call. When he picked, he greeted.
“Hello, Mr. Bailey. How may I help?”
“Hello, Mr. Finnegan. I am sorry, I don’t intend to keep you waiting. We will soon be on our way.”
(Cut.)
He cut the call at once because he knew that Mr. Sean Finnegan may want to say that he was not disturbed. Then, he looked at the parents’ in-law and announced.
“Father, mom. The driver should be off work by now. Let me release him.”
“That is okay.”
Then, Madam Ann inquired.
“Denise, do you have a driver here?”
Now, he was already standing and Olivia stood too, followed by Tim, who was not done with them and responded.
“No, Auntie Ann. It is the driver from the hotel. He should be off work by now.”
“That is good.”
Meanwhile, Tim was whispering to Olivia and Mr. Denise Bailey heard him and pretended not to.
“Big cousin, tell him that I want to tag along.”
Olivia whispered back and said.
“He is your uncle in-law, tell him by yourself.”
Now Mrs. McGregor and Madam Ann spoke.
“All right, Son. We appreciate your visit.”
“Thank you, my in-law, for making it to my wedding. I will not forget this gesture rushing.”
“It is my pleasure.”
Now, Mr. Denise Bailey had begun to move while Mr. McGregor teased.
“Okay, son. Please take your Angel home. She needs to rest.”
Mr. Denise Bailey and the rest laughed aloud. Now, he had started walking towards the door while waiting for the pranks that Tim and his wife would pull.
