The Sealed Forgiveness 1
“I got you, father.”
“I will be back.”
Then, he asked one of the nurses to get lunch for them, and she did. Lady Olivia fed Victory and kept some for Victor, who was still sleeping. After a while, they slept off.
Meanwhile, Mr. Arthur Bailey got back to his office and gave the school proprietor a call. She became frenzy when she saw the caller.
“Hello, Mr. Bailey. How may I help you?”
Mr. Arthur Bailey hit the nail on the head.
“Mrs. Wood, I think I have given you a long rope, but you chose to use it to hang yourself. Now, I am giving you five hours grace to explain what happened to my grandchildren today. Otherwise, consider your school a past tense.”
(Cut)
Now, Mrs. Elsie Wood was aware that he was right. His grandchild would have been kidnapped in her school due to the carelessness of the security guards who released him to an unidentified man. Now, food poison. Of course, she was wise enough to know that she would not call him back.
After the monologue with her, he stayed back to wait for Denise to pick his pregnant wife and children before he would close for the day.
Now, Mrs. Nichole Bailey, who was on PM shift, was busy with her work. She got home that day to discover that her husband was not home yet, and she did not bother to give him a call due to the rift between them.
At 4 PM, Sir Denise Bailey returned from the wharf and drove straight to the clinic. Then, the nurse led him to his wife's ward.
“Oh! My God. This is too much for her to bear.”
He screamed when he saw his weak wife and daughter sleeping on one bed, while the sick twin was on another bed. Meanwhile, their lunch plates were still unattended to.
“I am sorry, boss.”
The nurse pleaded and began to clear the lunch plates, which Lady Olivia would have trashed on a good day. Now, when she was through, Sir Denise Bailey walked to appreciated
“Thank you, nurse.”
Then, he walked up to Victor's bed and felt his forehead. He was satisfied with his temperature, that was normal. Likewise, Victor opened his eyes gradually and smiled when he saw his dad.
“Dad.”
He called out faintly. Now, Sir Denise Bailey smiled back and sat on the bed. Victor crawled to him, he lifted him and made him to sit on his thighs.
“How are you, my boy?”
“I'm good. And you?”
“I'm good.”
Suddenly, his father who had been monitoring the clinic through the CCTV arrived.
“Father, are you still around?”
“Yes. I had to wait for you to pick them.”
“Thank you, father.”
Now, Lady Olivia, who heard her husband's and father-in-law's voices, felt disturbed and opened her eyes and saw them in her ward. She stood up at once and greeted.
“Welcome, Hubby.”
“Good, evening father.”
“Thank you, Angel. How are you?"
“I am fine.”
“I think they should go home and take their rest.”
“You are right, father. Let me get the doctor.”
Denise admitted and tried to get up to call on the doctor. Then, the doctor walked and greeted. Afterwards, he touched Victor's forehead and teased.
“Victor, you will remain in the clinic with me while dad and mom take Victory home.”
Now, there was silence in the hall as everyone waited for his response. Then he refuted.
“No, I will not remain with you. I am well now.”
They laughed at his boldness. Afterwards, the doctor discharged them and Denise carried Victor on his left shoulder and held his wife with his right hand. Meanwhile, Victory, who was already awake, held her grandfather's hand, and they headed to the car park. Then, the nurse picked the children's lunch boxes and followed behind. Mr. Arthur Bailey ensured that they had settled down properly in the car before he announced.
“No school tomorrow. They need to have enough rest and let's watch what they eat.”
“All right, father. Good night.”
“Good night everybody.”
“Good night, grandpa.”
The twins greeted as they waved at their grandfather. Now, Mr. Arthur Bailey turned and looked at the doctor and nurse, who were waving at the twins and appreciated.
“Thank you all. I'm grateful.”
“Do not mention, boss.”
He walked back to his car where his driver was waiting and joined him in the car.
“Where are we going, boss.”
The driver inquired.
“Take me home. You can go to wherever you think that we should have been going to afterwards.”
The driver giggled at his foolish question. At about 5 Pm, he should know that his boss should be at home. He gave the cook a call and advised him on what to prepare before he got home. By the time, he got home, his meal, which included herbal tea, was already on the dinner table. He had his dinner before he joined his wife in the bedroom who gave him the usual cursory greeting and he, in turn, gave a cursory response. He took his warm bath and afterwards, emailed the appropriate quarters and Phil instructing that Daniel should not go to school the next day. Afterwards, he went to sleep.
Now, Mrs. Nichole Bailey was beginning to feel the heat of the rift between her and her husband. The tension that it had created was becoming unbearable for her. From all indication, she had started what she could not finish.
At Sir Denise Bailey's Apartment
They got home happy because the sick twin was already playing around. He requested for food and he was served one. Afterwards, he requested for more, and he had enough. They retired to bed earlier than usual due to tiredness. Then, Sir Denise Bailey appreciated his wife.
“My Lady, you're a strong woman. I can't believe that you did not break down.”
“Thank you, Hubby. I had to be strong for us. You need rest too.”
She declared as she covered her husband with the duvet. They had a serene night. They woke up the next day energetic.
