The Return of a Kinsman

Mr. Eden made a way for them to walk into the room and saw things for themselves.
“Talk to me, Mr. Eden. What happened?”
“He attacked us.”
Now, the boss took a deep breath before he examined the victims. Even though Mr. Eden was up, he was not left out of Mr. Stephen Bailey’s brutality. He had his share of beating from too. They understood for the first time that they had underestimated him. The way he fought them showed that he had a killing intention.
“Call Mr. Muhammad to get an ambulance for us.”
The boss announced.
“OK, boss.”
One of the team members responded. Now, the leader of the team picked the handcuffs which were on the floor and walked towards Mr. Bailey. He expected him to obediently stretch his two wrists so that he could shackle them, but he still resisted. Now, despite the bruised face and the blood, the leader gave him a blinding slap before her grabbed his two hands, put them together and locked the handcuffs. Subsequently, he took pictures of him and the scene.
After a few minutes, Mr. Muhammad arrived with the ambulance and the victims were moved with stretchers to the ambulance. Likewise, they were taken to a nearby hospital for first aid attention. Meanwhile, the leader of the team had forwarded the pictures of the victims and the scene and gave an update report to the Constable.
(Thank you, Gaius. You did a good job. I am expecting you back.)
(You are welcome, boss. It is noted, boss.)
Now, with the pictures and the update, the Constable went ahead with breaking the news. The update was broadcast live with the blood stain scene with the caption.
(At last, the man behind the failed assassin attempt on the lonely on … arrested.)
Now, the news had a different dimension to it. Some said he was trying to kill someone before he was arrested. Others said he had killed the person before he was arrested. At that time, it was 12:30 Pm in Kent, while it was 9:30 pm in Bricks Mont. Mr. Arthur Bailey, who had been communicating with his son and just concluded on Tim's visa, was fretful. He believed that Mr. Stephen Bailey had engaged his son in a fight over Tim, and that his son was the person who he killed, and he gave Denise a call at once. Unfortunately, Mr. Denise Bailey and his wife had gone to sleep and had turned their phones off.
Mr. Arthur Bailey could not rest without getting across to his son. He looked at the time, and it was time to pick his wife from work. When he looked at himself and concluded that he was unable to drive, so he asked Freya to go and pick her mom.
Saturday Morning at the Springfield Tourism and Resort Center.
Mr. Denise Bailey woke up before his wife at 5 am and, as a matter of policy, he checked his phone for mails or messages. He was shocked to see messages from his father.
(How are you, son? I hope you are safe?)
(Son, talk to me. Where are you? Did you have any fight with Stephen?)
'Why all these messages?'
He whimpered. To avoid disturbing his wife's sleep, he walked to the parlor and gave his father a call.
'He should be sleeping by now.'
He thought. But to his amazement, he picked and spoke with anxiety while his wife, who was also distraught, looked on.
“Denise, where are you?”
“Good morning, father. I'm in my suite.”
“Oh! That is good.”
“What happened, father, and why did you ask?”
“There was breaking news yesterday about your Uncle. He was arrested at Bricks Mont after a fight with an undisclosed person. I was distraught when I did not hear from you.”
“Oh! You must have worried yourself to death. As you can see, I am fine.”
“I am relieved to hear that.”
“How is mom?”
“Your Mom is fine. Speak with her.”
Mr. Denise Bailey spoke with his mother and afterwards went through other messages and mails. After attending to them, he woke his wife up for their walk out at 6 Am.
“Good morning, Wifey. It is time for our walk out.”
“Good morning, Hubby. Let me get ready.”
She got off the bed and walked to the washroom to brush up. She returned afterwards and dressed up. Her husband dressed up too, and they left for the park. It was a small park compared to their center at the Island. They met other people there with their spouses too. They greeted them and continued with their walk out. Now, they heard people discussing how Mr. Stephen Bailey, from Kent, almost killed someone in Bricks Mont, and they were embittered.
“How dare that fellow from Kent kill in our country?”
“Imagine such boldness. It is an insult on our country.”
“So what if they are big and richer?”
They said many things that put Mr. Denise Bailey in a precarious state.
'No wonder, father was fretful.'
Then, he called his wife's attention and announced.
“I am tired. Let's return to the suite.”
“So soon? But we just came.”
“You are right. I worked throughout the night. So, I did not catch enough sleep.”
“I see. Let's go back then. You can sleep for an hour or two before our departure.”
“You are right.”
They began to walk back to their suite while Mr. Denise Bailey listened for more stories about his uncle and how they felt.
'Leaving with Tim, a minor, may create another problem. They may think I have come to kidnap their son. Besides, the citizens may begin a protest soon.'
He reasoned. They returned to their suite and settled down. To prove to his wife that he was tired, he laid down on the bed and advised.
“You can wake me up when the breakfast is ready. Tim knows how to order for it.”
“Okay, Hubby.”
She returned to the parlor and allowed her husband to sleep. Now, Mr. Denise Bailey had the opportunity to discuss with his father.
