At Cairo.
Mr. Arthur Bailey and Nichole were on their way back from an outing when he got the payment alert from Mr. Stephen Bailey. He smiled and shrugged his shoulders. Afterwards, He sat down on the couch in the sitting room to give Louis a call, while Nichole walked into the bedroom to change to a casual wear. However, Louis, who was about to leave his office, picked the call immediately it connected and greeted without delay.
“Hello, father. Good to hear from you again today.”
Mr. Arthur chuckled before he responded.
“Hello, Louis. Are you getting tired with our calls?”
Louis laughed and responded.
“Not at all, father. How is mom?”
“Your mom is fine. She is missing you a lot. Anyway, how are you?”
“I am fine. Have you gotten the payment alert from Uncle Stephen?”
“Yes, son. That was my reason for calling. We will think of what to do with the money. You know we cannot use such money. I am certain that he had learned his lesson by now.”
“You are right, father. Parting with such an amount of money must have given him some torture.”
“Yes, especially now that his resort is down. I am proud of you and your brother for fighting gallantly to defend your family.”
“Thank you, father.”
“You are welcome, son. Our ancestors will be proud of you. Anyway, your mom will speak with you later. Bye for now.”
“It is all right, father. Bye.”
Mr. Louis Bailey picked his system and walked out of his office, ignoring the farewell greeting of his secretary.
Now, Nichole had joined her husband in the sitting room and sat silently beside him while he spoke with Louis. Then, she inquired.
“How is he? Did he sound moody?”
Mr. Arthur Bailey, who discountenanced with her incessant call to Louis, glared at her before he stood up to walk into the bedroom. She chuckled and walked after him. Then, he began to undress, Nichole assisted by unbuttoning his shirt while she made up her mind to drop the conversation.
“What would you love to have for dinner?”
She asked as though she was not aware that he was upset. He looked at her beautiful face while she was busy with the buttons and smiled inwardly before he responded.
“You.”
She lifted her startled eyes to confirm what she just heard, and he repeated himself teasingly.
“You look more beautiful when you upset me that I become confused and wouldn’t know what to do to you.”
Nichole giggled and responded.
“Thank you for your understanding. You are free to do anything you wish to do with me.”
Now, he pulled her closer and gave her a deep kiss.
“Thank for waiting for me, Nichole.”
He said after he released her lips.
“Thank for not making me to wait in vain.”
Wednesday – At the Government Hospital,
The Superior could not reach out to Evelyn Whyte after trying her number several times the previous day. Lorene Walker, who would have furnished him with the information of her whereabouts, was still in danger. So, he had fewer hands as three of his staff members were off-duty. On Wednesday, he had to adjust his roaster to be able to have more hands.
Then, Mrs. Zoey Bailey had resumed for the day and was shuttling between her office and Nichole’s. The janitor, who believed that she was assisting Mrs. Nichole Bailey, was of great assistance.
“Thank you. What is your name?”
Mrs. Zoey Bailey asked the janitor, whom she had taken delight in after working with her for two days.
“My name is Rachael Justin, Mrs. Bailey.”
“What a nice name? You had been very helpful. Thank you.”
“That is the least I can do to cover up for Mrs. Bailey.”
“Oh! That is good. I will visit the emergency later to see Lorene Walker.”
Rachael, the twenty years janitor, pushed her bottom lip forward in disdain and asked.
“Do you really need to?”
Mrs. Zoey Bailey who was stunned with her boldness looked into her eyes and inquired.
“Why did you think I should not check on her?”
“I don’t think she would appreciate your visit because she thought she attacked Mrs. Nichole Bailey. The feud was not between the two of you, but between the two of them.”
“I see. Let me stay aside and watch things unfold.”
“Yes. Mrs. Bailey.”
They continued with their work until they closed for the day.
At Bailey International Conglomerate, Sevenoak
Mr. Louis Bailey got to the office to meet Eric as his new secretary.
“Good morning, boss. Good to see you.”
Eric greeted cheerfully.
“Good morning, Eric.”
Louis gave a cursory response and walked into his office. He went through his diary and discovered that Julie had not called back to inform him of her husband’s date of visit, so, he gave her a call.
“Hello, last born.”
She greeted when she picked.
“Hello, big sister. Good to hear from you. Have you spoken with your husband about his trip to Kent?”
“Yes. He will give you a call today. He will be at Dover with his colleagues the coming week.”
“Oh! That will be fine. I will be expecting his call. Take care.”
“All right. Bye.”
Mr. Louis Bailey was exhilarated when he learned that his in-law would be visiting him the following week.
“That is good. Let me see the doctor at once.”
He picked his car keys and walked out briskly from his office.
“I will be back soon, Eric.”
He informed the secretary without waiting for a response. He drove happily to the clinic. Then, he was in the doctor’s office.
“Good day, doctor. It is nice to see you.”
“Take your seat, please. Good to see you.”
“Thank you, doctor.”
He appreciated and took his seat. Then, the cheerful doctor asked.“You are in a lighter mood today, what is the secret?”
“Yes. You are right, doctor. I have come up with a permanent solution to my turbulence instead of having suicidal thoughts.”
Dr. Kadon Quain who had the control over his emotion fainted inwardly when he heard him mention suicidal thoughts but managed to maintain a cheerful look. He played along with him and smiled.
“That is good. May we hear this permanent solution that you have come up with?”
At The Tourist Center
The Manager took Jude Addy to the cinema hall and assigned him to his duty post.
“Jude, this is your office. You will work along with other workers. The cinema operates only over the weekend."
“All right Sir.”
“If you have any idea that would be beneficial to the Center, do not hesitate to let me know.”
“All right, boss.”
The manger walked back to his office while Jude remained with the three staff members of the cinema who were almost of the same age with him. They were happy to have him and held him in high esteem because of the expensive wears he had on and the room he occupied.
“Welcome, Jude. Nice to have you. My name is Bright.
“My name is Michael.”
“I am Patrick.”
“I am glad to meet you.”
When the Security Officer saw the Manager walked out of the cinema hall, he quickly walked in and drew Jude’s attention.
“Can I have a word with you, Jude?”
“All right boss. Excuse me.”
He walked up to the Security Officer who took him back to his room and had a heart-to-heart talk with him.
“Jude.”
“Yes, Sir.”
“You are a good boy. I would not like you to disclose your past to anyone, including the manager. Did you get it?”
“I got it, Sir.”
“If you must talk about yourself, tell them you are my relation.”
“All right Sir. Thank you.”
“You can return to work.”
“Okay Sir.”
The Security Officer left and Jude locked his door and joined his colleagues at the cinema hall where they were planning for the cinema show for the weekend.
At Mr. Henry Taylor’s Office.
It had been over a week since he spoke with Whitney Relish, his girlfriend, and fiancé. For that, he could not concentrate on his work and he had been avoiding his parents, who were preparing for his marriage in less than two weeks. Meanwhile, he had visited her home and no one seemed to know her where about, and they were trying to conceal her disappearance from him.
“Whitney. Why did you choose to do this to me?”
He mumbled as tears tickled down his cheeks unrestrained.
“Could she have eloped with another man?”
Now, her phone was switched off for that, he was not thinking of dialing her number again. He cried and concluded to visit his mentor after work to seek his opinion.
At Mr. Denise Bailey’s Apartment.
Olivia had channeled her time and energy in promoting her ICT lectures and Daniel De Pianist online. She kept on posting different videos of Daniel on the internet, and she was pleased with the responses she was getting from viewers whose number kept on increasing. Then, she got an idea.
“I can organize a concert for children pianists.”
She was on top of the world with her idea, but her joy was cut short when she remembered her husband’s warning two nights ago.
“Will he stop me from doing this too? But this would not be stressful.”
Then, she sat back and planned how to broach her plans to him when he returned from work.
