Nonetheless, the Admiral gave heed to his offer and Mr. Denise Bailey promised to send his accommodation details to him, which he gladly accepted. Then, he got off the meeting and joined his in-law and wife at the couch.
“It had been a marathon. You need rest.”
Olivia expressed.
“Thank you, dear. We may close for the day.”
“Then, let’s inform father.”
Max suggested. Then, Denise got a call from his father and he picked, while Max and Olivia looked on.
“Hello, father.”
“Yes. Denise. Your wife’s car had arrived.”
“Wow! So, soon? That is splendid. We are coming over.”
“I was surprised, too.”
Mr. Arthur Bailey said. They had expected that the car would arrive later in the week. So, they moved over to the Chairman’s office.
“Thank you, father. I appreciate.”
Olivia appreciated. Mr. Arthur Bailey was temporarily relieved of the emotional strain that the affairs between his sons and daughter-in-law was giving him. Then he teased.
“I should appreciate you for the opportunity to give an Angel a gift.”
They laughed heartily and afterwards, Denise collected the keys and the documents which he glanced through and saw Olivia Bailey on the receipt. He handed them over to his wife while they walked to the car park to see the car.
“Wow! This is truly for an Angel.”
Mr. Max Winston exclaimed when he saw a white Cadillac XT5. Then he continued.
“This is one of the trending female cars in Kent.”
Now, Olivia excitedly collected the car keys from her husband and got into the car, turned on the ignition and drove out of the park while the rest looked on. Then, Mr. Arthur Bailey, who was itching to know how Louis’s girlfriend became Denise’s wife, whispered.
“Son, you have not told me how you met this beautiful lady.”
At that point, Denise’s eyes became moist because he remembered the circumstances under which he met her. Then he whispered back.
“Father, let’s not go there. I met her half dead due to the ill-treatment her first lover gave to her.”
Suddenly, Mr. Arthur Bailey was bereft of speech. He looked at his son who was fighting hard to cheer up, while Max’s attention was on Olivia who was driving around the premises. Then, he inquired.
“It is so sad. Did you bother to find out who the first lover was?”
Now, the pains on his face turned into rage, and he blurted.
“Is he worth my attention? Such people ought to be in the prison.”
Then he turned to smile at his wife, who just parked before them. Likewise, Olivia was shedding tears of joy and sorrow. While she was driving, she remembered Louis, who put her through with her driving lesson, and began to tear up. Before she got off her car, she controlled her tears, which they mistook for tears of joy.
“Thank you, father. Thank you, Hubby.”
She greeted. Now, Denise who was already worn out due to his long meetings held her hand, turned to the father and requested.
“Let me take her home. See you tomorrow.”
“It is all right. I may go home too. Max needs rest.”
He responded with sobriety. Then Denise and Olivia turned to Max, who was smiling all through and greeted.
“All right, brother-in-law. See you later.”
“All right. Take good care of our Angel.”
“I will.”
When they got into the car, Mr. Denise Bailey who had collected the car key from his wife turned on the ignition and looked at his wife who had cheered up.
“You are truly my Angel. So, cheer up.”
“Thank you, Hubby. You are God’s gift to me.”
Now, Denise drove to the gate and stopped. He called the attention of the Security Office and instructed.
“Take my car key. You can ask any of the drivers to bring my car home.”
“Consider it done, boss.”
Afterwards, he drove off and when they got home, they posed with the car and took some pictures which he posted to the family platform. Olivia sent the pictures to her parents too.
At the Government Hospital
The PM shift had resumed work as usual. Lorene Walker, who had spent five days in the hospital ward when she had a fight with Zoey the previous week, had no reason to stay away from work, so, she was at the office. She was looking moody, which was for many reasons, she was torn between two opinions. If she stuck to Mr. Stephen Bailey, she would not fulfil her dream of being the first lady of the Bailey’s family. Meanwhile, she had the intention of checking back on Mr. Arthur Bailey when he returned from his trip.
Afterwards, Mrs. Nichole Bailey drove to work with her car which she parked at the car park and walked to her office. To the surprise of her haters, who were waiting for her ugly duckling husband to bring her to the vestibule, she walked to her office. Then, Rachael who was surprised too walked up to her and greeted.
“Good day, Mrs. Bailey. Good to see you.”
“Thank you, Rachael. Good to see you.”
Now, they began to walk to her office as though they were colleagues. The hospital did not attach the janitor to her, but she had a special likeness for Nichole and attached herself to her to the envy of other staff. The moment Mrs. Nichole got to her office, a clerk handed over a memo to her. She looked at the clerk before she went through the memo. Thereafter, she announced.
“You can leave. I will be there.”
“It is all right, Mrs. Bailey. Could you please acknowledge the receipt of the memo by signing here?”
The clerk announced while giving her an acknowledgement copy of the memo. Mrs. Bailey acknowledged the receipt of the memo and the clerk left. She smiled and looked at the janitor who was standing aside.
“I have a meeting in the Board Room at 1 PM.”
She informed, and the janitor who was helping her to settle down responded.
“It is all right. I will take my leave now.”
“It is all right.”
Then, she settled down and sent a message to her husband before she began her work for the day, as though she did not receive any memo. Then, at 1 PM, she was at the Board Room.
