You Came Too Late 2
“Sorry for making you do this twice. Your booking had taken care of this.”
“It is all right.”
Mr. Denise Bailey responded. Meanwhile, Mr. Sullivan, who had begun to move his bag away, announced.
“Please, come with me.”
Mr. Denise Bailey looked at his wife, who looked tired, and took her hand. Then, he encouraged
“Let’s go. You will soon get some rest.”
“All right, Hubby.”
They followed the manager. When they got out, they heard the manger say.
“Sean, come and take this.”
“Okay, boss.”
They saw Mr. Sean Finnegan opening the car trunk and Mr. Denise Bailey remembered that someone with such name spoke with him a few minutes ago. Then, he asked.
“Are you Mr. Sean Finnegan?”
“Yes, Mr. Bailey.”
“We spoke some minutes ago.”
“Yes. Mr. Bailey. I was at the airport to pick you when I called. I left when you said your driver was around.”
Now, they were already in the vehicle. The Manager was sitting at the front while Denise was at the back seat with his wife. Then, he responded to the driver’s explanation.
“You are right. I declined because I had no idea that it was part of your services. Getting a strange call suddenly may not go down well with people like us, who are security conscious.”
Now, Mr. Sullivan Wood, who had been listening keenly to their discussion, got the wisdom of Mr. Denise Bailey’s Claim. Then, he apologized at once.
“You are right. Mr. Bailey. After your booking, we would have sent you the details of your assigned driver, just as we sent the details of your suite in our acknowledgment letter.”
“That is precisely what I mean. I may even get acquainted with him before coming.”
“Thank you, Mr. Bailey, for pointing that out to us. We have taken note.”
“You are welcome. I am sorry if I disrupted your work.”
“Not at all. The fact that we have being doing that, and other guests are not complaining, does not mean that it is right. We learn every day.”
Soon, they were at the vestibule. They helped them to settle in their suite and left. Now, Denise drew his wife close to him and cupped her face. He looked into her eyes and said.
“You look tired. Let me kiss away your tiredness.”
He truly kissed away her tiredness because, when he wanted to release her, she would not let go of him. Afterwards, Denise announced.
“Let’s call our parents and inform them of our safe arrival.”
“You are right.”
After they had spoken with their parent in Kent, they set out to give Olivia’s parents a call. When they picked, they were over the moon.
“Denise, my son. How are you?”
Olivia’s mother greeted.
“I’m fine, mom. How are you?”
“I’m fine. I can see that you could not make it to the wedding. We can understand.”
Now, Denise chuckled and looked at the wife who was beside him and spoke.
“We are at Bricks Mont. We…”
Before he could say that they arrived that evening, Olivia’s mother interrupted him and screamed.
“Wow. I am delighted to hear that. I can’t wait to see you.”
“We can’t wait to see you too. Speak with my wife.”
He handed the phone to Olivia, and she asked.
“Good evening, mom.”
“Good evening, my daughter. I give God praise for a safe trip.”
“Yes mom. Where are you?”
“We are at the Missionary Center.”
“All right, mom. Is the place far from the Springfield Tourism and Resort Center?”
Now, Denise looked at her with the hope to get the address of his parent’s in-law. Then, he whispered.
“Tell her we are coming over.”
Then, Olivia conveyed his message to her mother. When the call ended, they set out to search for them at once. Now, Mr. Denise Bailey gave Mr. Sean Finnegan a call and inquired.
“Hello, Mr. Sean Finnegan. How far is the Missionary Center from here?”
“It is about twenty minutes’ drive, Mr. Bailey.”
“That is nice. Get ready. You will take us there.”
“It is noted, Mr. Bailey.”
After ten minutes, they met Mr. Sean Finnegan at the vestibule, and they took off. The Manager, Mr. Sullivan, was pleased when he heard that Mr. Denise Bailey would be going out with the driver.
At the Missionary Center
The drive to the Missionary Center was smooth. It gave them the opportunity to see the beautiful city of Bricks Mont. When they finally arrived at the Missionary Center, Mr. Denise Bailey was skeptical of the old missionary house that the parents’ in-law were occupying. From the structure, it was possible to know that the center was over one hundred and fifty years old. Although, the environment was neat and well maintained, but the buildings were unfashionable.
“This is the Missionary Center, Mr. Bailey.”
“Thank you, Mr. Finnegan.”
They drove to their apartment and were delighted to reunite. Mr. Macgregor, who was pleased with his son-in-law, cheered him up.
“I am thrilled to see you, my son. I have no regret giving my daughter to you.”
“Thank you, father, for accepting me as your son-in-law.”
At the Rock Bay Inn
Mr. Bailey had his lunch and rested in the Inn. To avoid been noticed and other reasons, he chose to pay his ex a visit when the day was dark. He was hoping to spend sometimes with them and when it was late, he would feign tiredness and pass the night with them.
“Spending the night with her will be the beginning of our bonding. If I give her the kind of satisfaction that I gave to Lorene Walker, she would yield to my proposal for reconciliation.”
He smiled in triumph as he thought of how they will live happily after that night before he stepped out of his room.
“Hello, Sir. I can see you are stepping out.”
The driver who brought him to the Inn asked. Now, Mr. Stephen Bailey was surprised when he heard his voice.
“You again?”
“Yes, Sir. I just brought a passenger to the Inn.”
“I see.”
