The Kidnap 1
“Tim.”
This time, Tim was aware that he heard her clearly and walked quickly to her.
“Get the car keys. I need to see the doctor.”
“Okay.”
Meanwhile, Tim, took a critical look at her and was startled. He quickly got the car keys and helped her to the car. As she tried to open the driver's side of her car, she experienced another contraction and leaned on the door.
“Big cousin, are you sure you can drive?”
Tim asked with concern. Meanwhile, John, who had been observing her since she got off the house, walked up to her and asked.
“Do you mind if I drive you with the operational car?”
Lady Olivia nodded her head in the affirmative, and John walked swiftly back to the parlor and got the car keys. He opened the back door for her, and she got in, followed by Tim.
“Where are we going, Madam?”
“We are going to the office.”
Now, John turned on the car ignition and drove off.
“Call your uncle and tell him that we are coming to the office.”
Lady Olivia instructed.
“All right, big cousin.”
Then, Tim picked his phone and gave Sir Denise Bailey a call. He was excited when the phone began to ring, and he waited for him to pick, but to his displeasure, he did not pick. He looked at his big cousin who was uncomfortable with the contraction pains and consoled.
“Take it easy. We will soon get to the hospital.”
He was not expecting any response from her so, he concentrated on getting Denise, but he got the same result. Now, Lady Olivia was distraught and could not ask whether Tim was able to get her husband or not. So, they continued with their trip to the hospital. Soon, they were at the complex gate.
The Security Officer recognized their colleague and the operational car, so, they opened the gate at once.
“Welcome Madam, welcome John.”
“Good day boss.”
He greeted and drove to the clinic at once, and parked at the vestibule. When he got off the car, he opened the back door for Lady Olivia, but she could not come out and only looked on. Now, Tim, who was already out of the car, walked to Lady Olivia and asked.
“Do you want me to get the nurses to help you?”
Lady Olivia, who was already weak and shedding tears, nodded her head in the positive and Tim began to walk into the clinic. Meanwhile, Dr. Steve Harper, who had gotten off work for the day and was leaving the clinic, was wondering why a vehicle should park at the vestibule. Meanwhile, Tim, who could not identify him, had walked into the clinic and was talking to the receptionist.
“What?"
The receptionist exclaimed. Then, she stood up, got the caregivers to get the stretchers. Soon they were at the vestibule. They met Dr. Steve Harper trying to walk back to call them. They assisted her to get into the stretcher and wheeled her to the theater.
Where is Mr. Bailey?”
The doctor asked Tim.
“He is at work. Let me give him a call.”
Tim explained. Previously, Dr. Steve Harper was aware that she was carrying multiple pregnancies, but kept it away from the couple. He was prepared for that but was not prepared for preterm labor, now, that it had come, he would face it.
“Stop crying Lady. Bailey, everything will be fine.”
The midwife assured her.
On the Way Home
Sir Denise Bailey got off work at 2 PM after he had the premonition that some terrible things may occur.
“What is this funny feeling that I am having since the morning?”
He thought to himself. Then, he gave his wife a call, and she picked. To avoid panicking her, he greeted her casually and cut the call and continued with his work. When he could not concentrate, he set out to go home. Now, while he was driving, he got to the spot where he met Lady Olivia eight months ago and smiled.
“My lucky spot. I will bring her and our daughter to this spot one day for selfies.”
He mumbled. Then his mind began to wander on different things.
“How would she have survived if I had not shown up?”
Now, he saw a familiar truck that the driver was usually driving recklessly, and he had always avoided him. That day was not an exception. He avoided him by overtaking him.
“Stupid man. This is how you cause an accident.”
He cursed and concentrated on his reverie. Then, another drunken truck driver stopped abruptly in his front. On a normal day, he would have avoided it, but his wandering mind did not figure out that the driver in his front was not in the right frame of mind. It was so sudden that he was unable to avoid it, and he hit the truck. Then, his car veered off the road and somersaulted forty-three times in the bush. To his surprise, he was conscious of his surroundings, but he could not get off the car which had squeezed due to the effect of the tumbling.
Meanwhile, he saw four men who he termed as good Samaritans, who appeared and tried to help him get off the car. He smiled to them, but they were not smiling. With their hard faces, they pulled him out of the squeezed car.
“Thank you, gentlemen.”
They ignored his appreciation and began to take him farther into the bush. Now, Sir Denise Bailey was lost of where they were going, and he could not ask questions because they were not friendly. So, he obediently walked with them.
At the Bailey Native Home.
After Tim informed Dr. Steve Harper that Sir Denise Bailey was at the office and promised to give him a call, he concentrated on his patient. After a while, he noticed that he was not around and Lady Olivia pressure was rising higher than necessary. Then, he inquired again.
“Have you called him?”
“Yes, Doctor, but he is yet to pick.”
