All Eyes On Mr. Arthur Bailey 1

At The Bailey International Conglomerates
“Good day ma'am. How may we help you?”
“Good day. I'm here to see your Chairman.”
She announced cheerfully. Then, the security guard examined her carefully before he asked.
“Do you have an appointment with him?”
“Hey! It is rude to keep your visitors waiting.”
The security guard ignored her advice and continued.
“You have not answered my question, ma'am.”
Now, the two of them locked their eyes for a few seconds before Lorene responded.
“No. I don't have an appointment with him. Let him know that Lorene Walker wishes to see him.”
“Sorry, ma'am. We don't work like that here. Have a pleasant day.”
From the security guard's perspective, it was possible to believe that he was trained specifically for people like her. Lorene's hot look and confidence had failed her, and she drove off with her tail between her legs.
At Sevenoaks - Bailey International Conglomerates
Dr. Kadon Quain arrived as soon as he got off call with Cassandra. He smiled as he walked into the Secretary's office as though there was nothing to worry about.
“Thank you for your call, Cassandra. Can I see him, please?”
“Yes, Dr. Quain.”
He pushed the door open and shut it behind him before he changed his countenance at once. He spoke with a stern tone as he snatched Mr. Louis Bailey's phone from him. Then he asked.
“Must you embarrass yourself in the office, Mr. Bailey?”
Then, he perused the picture which he was staring at and saw Olivia at close range for the first time. On the wedding day, he only saw her from afar.
'She is indeed worth crying for.'
He thought before he said.
“Come with me, Mr. Bailey.”
He ordered Mr. Louis Bailey, who was relieved when he saw the doctor declared.
“Never mind, doctor. I will be fine.”
“How can you be fine, when you have embarrassed yourself before your staff?”
“My staff? How?”
“Come with me.”
Mr. Louis Bailey picked up his phone which the doctor had dropped and wanted to follow him, but he declared.
“You are closing for the day.”
Louis could not believe the gravity of what must have happened that was making the doctor other him around. Anyway, he obeyed, closed for the day and followed the doctor. Afterwards, he instructed the Secretary.
“We will continue tomorrow, Cassandra.”
He said in his usual calm voice as though nothing happened.
“All right, boss.”
Now, Dr. Kadon Quain drove him to the clinic. When they got off, he walked beside the doctor until they got to his office.
“You can set down.”
“Thank you, doctor.”
He took his seat while the doctor took his seat too. He allowed him to calm down before he asked questions that would distract him from Olivia.
“I'm not aware that the chairman got married today?”
“Yes. He did. It was a low-key wedding.”
“I see. Then you should be happy.”
Mr. Louis Bailey just smiled. The doctor was happy to see him smile, proceeded with his questions.
“Have you had your lunch? “
“No. And I don't wish to have lunch from the canteen.”
“Which one do you wish to have?”
“Tea and biscuit would be OK.”
“Can we go to your house for lunch? Since you like homemade food.”
Mr. Louis Bailey laughed softly and asked the doctor.
“Are you inviting yourself over to my house for lunch?”
The doctor laughed too and responded.
“Certainly, because I offered you mine and you declined, so your homemade food would suffice.”
“Well, if you are not too busy, I would not mind.”
The doctor, who had been writing while they were chatting, dropped his pen and inquired in an officious tone.
“Can we talk, Mr. Bailey?”
Louis looked down before looking at the doctor and requested.
“I think I am fine…”
The doctor refuted his claim and asked.
“If you say that you are fine, are you aware of how I got to know you were distressed?”
The baffled Louis opened his mouth and gazed at the doctor. When he failed to answer his question, the doctor continued.
“Your secretary sent for me.”
“What? How did she get to know?”
“I would not know unless you tell me.”
“Did she …”
Dr. Kadon Quain did not allow him to ask his question because he knew it was not going to be necessary. He made him to comprehend the gravity of his action.
“I will advise that you should be more discrete about your emotional problems, especially before your staff. Last time, it was your domestic staff members who brought you and today, it was your secretary.”
“Thank you doctor. I appreciate. I will be more careful. Please, don't get tired of me.”
At the Government Hospital.
The news of Mrs. Nichole Bailey's marriage spread like a wildfire in the city, especially in the medical circle. Mr. Arthur Bailey did not know that he had many secret admirers, who Nichole Bailey's attachment to him had destabilized. Between 1 pm and 4 pm, when he got to work, the security guards had turned down five women of different sizes and shapes. When it was four o'clock, he set out to leave and his secretary greeted.
“Good night, boss. Send my best wishes to Nichole.”
“It is all right. Good night.”
After he bade his secretary farewell, he drove to The Government Hospital to pick his wife. Since she was not with her phone, he had to drive to the vestibule and walk to her office himself. Fortunately, when he drove into the premises, the janitor spotted him and walked to Nichole Bailey's office to inform her of his presence.
“Mrs., Bailey, you have a visitor. The man who brought you in the morning.”
“Oh! Thank you.”
She picked up her purse and began to walk to the vestibule, before her husband could park, she was already waiting. Then, she got into the car and gave him a peck.
“Good to see you, hubby.”
“Good to see you. How was your treat?”
“Wow! It was a surprise to everyone.”
“That is good. How was your work?”
“My work was fine, and yours?”
“Work was fine. Mrs. Felix sent her best wishes.”
“That is good. How is she?”
“She is fine. Let's go.”
Mr. Arthur Bailey turned on his ignition and drove away before Nichole's haters came to see who the janitor was talking about.
However, the team for the Night Shift got to work that day and learned that Mrs. Nichole Bailey had gotten married to an ugly duckling. They were dumbfounded not because she was married, but because Mr. Arthur Bailey did not make himself available to her. They burst into mocking laughter.
“Wow! After the babysitting.”
“She could not even trap him with her beauty.”
“Now, this is an opportunity for savvy women. Nichole is off the way.”
“Yes, the monopolistic Nichole.”
They were disappointed when they got to the vestibule to discover that she had left with her ugly duckling. They laughed the more.
“She did not want us to see the ugly duckling.”
“For how long will she hide him?"
At The Bailey Native Home.

Mr. Arthur Bailey was distraught when he did not find his wife's car.
“What is the matter with Zoey? Does she want to keep your car forever?”
“Mhhh. Hubby.”
“Yes.”
“My superior said that Zoey did not report to work yesterday to swap with me.”
“What does that mean? Who swapped with you then?”
“My superior said he got another nurse to stand in for me.”
“That is nice of him. Did Zoey give you a call?”
Nichole looked at him before she reminded him.
“My phone is…”
“Yes. I remembered.”
They got off the car and walked quickly to their room, and Mr. Arthur Bailey picked Dora's phone at once. He turned it on to booth before he began to undress. Now, Nichole undressed too and put on a casual wear while waiting for her phone to boot
After that, Mr. Arthur Bailey gave Mrs. Zoey Bailey a call, and he got an automated message.
(The number you dialed is switched off)
He looked at Nichole, who was as a lost as he was.
“Let me call Oscar.”
He gave Mr. Oscar Bailey, Zoey's husband and a sixty years old lecturer who is a member of another branch of the Bailey's family. He chose to live at the Bailey's Native Home instead of his family estate due to a family feud. Furthermore, he had an understanding with the late head of Arthur branch of the Bailey's family, who permitted him to put up with them. Not only that, but he waited after he gave him a call, when the call connected, he spoke calmly.
“Hello, Arthur. I am delighted to hear from you.”
“Hello, Oscar. I want to get across to your wife, but could not because her phone is switched off.”
“You are right. I had been trying to reach her since yesterday, but could not. I am on my way back from my trip.”
“It is all right. Fair trip.”
