The Epiphany 17

He stood up abruptly, walked to his room, and began to arrange some of his things.
At the Government Hospital
The doctors and nurses were busy with their work when two members of their staff and others were paraded, so they did not pay attention to the news. Meanwhile, the Superior, Dr. Marcus Caesar, was away for a meeting at the Headquarters concerning Lorene Walker’s case. Nevertheless, a pregnant woman, who had a face off with Evelyn Whyte was able to recognize her and screamed.
“Evelyn Whyte is a criminal.”
At that point, the nurses around looked up to the direction of her eyes and discovered that she was not the only person on the news, but Lorene walker.
“I can’t believe what I am seeing.”
Some nurses said. Meanwhile, Mrs. Nichole Bailey and Mrs. Zoey, who were on PM Shift, had arrived and met the hospital in chaos. Lorene Walker and Evelyn Whyte’s friends were embarrassed and ashamed of themselves. Now, Nichole got to her office and met Rachael Justin waiting for her. Her joy would not be complete if she does not update Mrs. Nichole Bailey on the latest. After listening to her, Nichole feigned surprise and asked.
“Arrested by the Authority? How and When?”
The janitor, who did not have an answer to her question, merely smiled triumphantly.
Now, Whitney had grown so slim that many people could recognize her again, not even her parents. All the same, some of her father’s colleagues and members of his fraternity who were familiar with the Constable gave him a call to commend him for his good work in the city. The Constable appreciated their commendation and expressed disappointment on the youths among them.
“Thank you very much. But I am disappointed in our youths. How can a young lady from a responsible home be involved in such criminal activities?”
Now, the higher ups, who were eager to know which of the suspects he was referring to and whose child she was asked.
“A youth from a responsible home? Whose daughter is she please?”
The Constable gladly informed him, just as he had informed other callers of the family that was involved.
“She is the daughter of Sir and Lady Relish. A senior Knight at that.”
“Oh! What a pity. All the same, keep up the good work you are doing in the society. We are solidly behind you.”
“Thank you, Sir.”
Nonetheless, Sir Relish was at home when he began to receive calls from friends and foes about his daughter, who would have wedded the previous week. He could not understand the meaning of the messages from his friends. Although he was at home, but he was not close to his television.
“What are you talking about?”
He asked in astonishment. Now, his wife who was returning for lunch rushed to the room and met him sweating profusely. She rushed to him when she noticed that he was about to slump and held him by his waist.
“What is the matter?”
She inquired after she had succeeded in putting him down gently. Now, the bewildered Senior Knight could not respond to her question, rather, he looked vacantly into the space. His wife, who was distraught by now, repeated her.
“Talk to me, dear. What happened?”
Now, his phone was ringing incessantly and his wife advised.
“Pick your call.”
When he was unyielding, she ignored the calls too and concentrated on attending to her husband. Then, she attempted to put her purse aside, and she noticed that her phone was ringing too. She quickly brought out the phone which had been in her purse while she was driving.
“Oh! My God. Who is calling?”
She screamed. Then, she looked at the caller, and it was one of their family friends and a Senior Knight too. She picked the call at once and greeted.
“Hello, Sir Jackson, I am glad…”
Without much ado, Sir Jackson cut her short and went straight to the point.
“What of your husband? Why is he not picking my calls?”
Lady Relish looked at her husband who was sitting beside him, and she noticed that he was not in the mood to talk, so she decided to speak with Sir Jackson.
“He is not disposed to…”
Now, Sir Jackson proceeded.

“How come your daughter is involved in criminal activities? She had been arrested by the police, and you kept it a secret. That is too bad. You could not even confide in me.”
(Cut)
Before she could respond, Sir Jackson cut the call angrily. Now, the confused Lady Relish looked at her husband for a clue, but she got none.
“Our daughter, involved in criminal activities. Arrested by the police.”
She turned to her husband and requested.
“Can you talk to me? I am not getting it.”
Meanwhile, Sir Relish, who was watching her carefully noticed that she was torn apart, was forced to speak.
“Don’t be hard on yourself. There must be a mix-up somewhere.”
“What are you talking about? Was she involved in any criminal activity?”
“Calm down. We shall get to the root of it.”
Before he could calm his wife down, his security officer called to inform him that he had visitors. When he walked to the parlor to see the visitors, he was shocked to see many people, especially his fellow Knights. As expected, Sir Taylor and his wife were conspicuously absent.
At the Clinic in Sevenoaks
After Dr. Quain and his alleged professionals administered the anesthesia and Mr. Louis Bailey slept off. Phil and Max returned to Dover after the doctor assured them that there was nothing to worry about. On Wednesday morning, the driver took Max to the airport, and he left. Meanwhile, Phil updated his father-in-law on how the supposed surgery went, and he was thrilled. Then, he inquired.
“So, he was asleep before you left?”
“Yes, father.”
“He needs the sleep.”
Mr. Arthur Bailey pointed out.
“I think so too. He had been through a lot.”
Phil confirmed. On Wednesday morning, Mr. Arthur Bailey, who was worried all night because of Louis and Nichole’s agitation, gave Dr. Quain a call to inquire about his condition.
