The search for Mr. Louis Bailey 6
He smiled at Mrs. Nichole Bailey, who smiled back too. In other to make their visit look as though it were a planned one, Nichole had to pretend by asking Mr. Arthur Bailey.
“You are here? Did you get what you went to buy?”
Mr. Arthur Bailey gave an absent-minded response and walked to the couch and sat down.
“No.”
Mrs. Nichole Bailey continued with her meal while Louis announced before leaving the suite.
“Father, please keep Mom company, I will be back.”
He left without waiting for their opinion. Mr. Arthur Bailey replied.
“All right son.”
Mrs. Nichole Bailey stared daggers at him while he adjusted his tie and rested his head on the couch.
Meanwhile, Mrs. Nichole Bailey who thought it was a coincidence that Mr. Arthur Bailey was here to look for his son was not aware that her daughter, Freya, and her husband, Mr. Phil Anderson snitched on her. After they got off call with her, Phil called on Mr. Arthur Bailey and inquired.
“Hello, Phil. Good to have you on the line.”
“Hello father. I am just checking on you. How is Mom?”
Phil and Freya, who was sitting beside him, winked at each other while waiting for his response.
“Mom is fine.”
“That's good. Have you spoken with Louis?”
“No. I have not gotten through with him.”
Phil and Freya waited anxiously to hear whether he would inform them of his plans to pay him a visit at Cairo, when he did not say anything about that, they continued with their match making. This time, Freya spoke.
“Oh! Father. I am dying of worry. I thought that by now, you or Mom would have paid him a visit.”
“You are right, Freya. I will think about it.”
Mr. Phil Anderson spoke.
“Father, if you have time tomorrow, I can book a flight for you. You can take advantage of the weekend and sort things out with him. It is only a suggestion.”
“Your suggestion is good, Phil. Book a flight for me. Thank you.”
The mischievous couple smirked in success. Phil went further to inquire.
“All right father. Can I book for two?”
His response was swift and succinct.
“No. Inform me when you book.”
“All right, father, see you later.”
They laughed agreeably after they got off the call and Freya asked.
“So Mom did not inform him that she was travelling?”
Mr. Phil Anderson looked at his wife while he began to book for a flight for his father-in-law quickly and said.
“Probably trying to avoid him.”
“That must be serious. I pray she does not start dating another man.”
Mr. Phil Anderson shook his head in disagreement and declared.
“If that happens, I will kill the man.”
“It won't even happen. We better not imagine it at all.”
At the end, Phil booked for the second flight for the day, which was for 9 am.
While Mrs. Nichole Bailey was seeing their meeting as a coincidence, Mr. Arthur Bailey felt the same way, but to his advantage. To him, it was a fortunate stroke of luck. He had seen his son and the woman he loved was right beside him, looking beautiful. He watched her cheerfully eating her food. By the time she looked his way, he looked away and focused on the television, but he was famished. He remembered the days she would call him to ask him to come over for lunch, but he would turn her down. These days, he wished he would return the hand of the clock. All the same, he spoke.
“Nichole.”
He paused for a response, but she concentrated on her meal. He called again and asked.
“Nichole. How was your trip?”
“As you can see, my trip was safe.”
She did not bother to find out about his flight. To him, it was not an issue, since she responded to his question. He pulled off his jacket and hung it on the single chair for reading before he joined her on the dining table. But then, she was satisfied and had to get off the table, but Mr. Arthur Bailey felt that she left because of him and felt bad.
'I must have hurt her so much.'
He thought as he began to eat the portion of the food meant for Louis. Then, Mrs. Nichole Bailey sat on the couch to watch the television and after a while, she slept off. Mr. Arthur Bailey looked at her beautiful face and lips. He imagined himself biting and kissing her. So, he ceased the opportunity to have a closer look at her. Her knee-length skirt which exposed her sexy legs gave him the opportunity to observe her knees and calves. When he could no longer restrain himself from kissing her, he got off the dinning table and walked quietly to her and observed her more closely. Then, he placed his left hand on the headrest of the couch, lowered his head and turned her face with his right hand and forced a deep kiss on her, she woke up and began to protest.
“What are you doing here. Go away from me.”
She pushed him away as she shifted to the other end of the double seater couch. Mr. Arthur Bailey, who had a closer look at her and had body contact, could not help himself. He wished to continue, but that would mean intimidation, and she may hate him for life. He quickly gave an explanation for his action.
“I saw a fly trying to perch on your face and I attempted to chase it away, and I didn't know what happened again.”
Mrs. Nichole Bailey gave him a disgust look and mocked.
“Yes, fly in a seven-star hotel room.”
She stood up from the couch and adjusted herself, while Mr. Bailey watched her as she walked towards the door. He was filled with guilt, so he demanded.
“What are you doing, Nichole?”
She ignored him and walked out of the suite. He took a deep breath, walked back to the dinning table and continued with his food, which did not appeal to him anymore. He dropped his cutleries, picked up his phone and called her line and when she refused to pick, he sent a message.
(Nichole dear. I am deeply sorry if I embarrassed you. Give me a chance and I will make you find true love. Love from Arthur.)
Meanwhile, Nichole walked back to the Exhibition Arena to keep Louis and his team members company. She left the suite because she could not guarantee that she had completely purged herself of the love she heard for him, especially with the deep kiss a moment ago.
(Ding)
She got a message alert and stopped to read her message. She smiled after reading the message and thought.
'Could he be genuine?'
“Mom, you are here. What of father?”
Louis greeted as she walked into their boot.
“He is eating. I want to stroll around. Continue with your meeting.”
“All right Mom.”
